The Kimberley Ranges, and the greater Pilbarra region of Western Australia, is one of the last great untouched wilderness areas on earth, it is also one of the richest regions in terms of its untapped mineral wealth which Rio Tinto and a couple of other mining giants want to rip out of the earth for the generations to come, presumably with the blessing of the current pro-mining Colin Barnett Liberal government. Premier Barnett has already signalled his government's commitment to preserving the tourism amenity in Broome, in view of the vital contribution that this northern frontier does provide to the Western Australian economy. But he seems to have stopped short of providing any assurances
or any compromise to all the greenies who are passionately opposed to any development in the Kimberley's that his government's preferred option isn't to allow the construction of a new gas terminal along an enviromentally sensitive section of the coastline. The main stakeholder besides the state government in the development versus enviromentalist saga is the multi-national gas company WOODSIDE. The company is under fire from enviromentalists for pursuing the more enviromentally irresponsible option instead of piloting an idea of building a gas terminal to facilitate the Browse Basin gas reserves in a more appropriate location, such as the North West Shelf in the Pilbarra. Colin Barnett is also un-
der fire for supporting the stance taken by WOODSIDE to opt for a more easy option which enviromentalists claim will have a detrimental effect on the marine ecology of the coastline around north-west Western Australia. While i respect Colin Barnett's resolve to do what has to be done at a political level to keep the engineroom of Western Australia mining and gas exploration going in the future, and as well as negotiating directly with mining companies to get the best deal for his state, the anti-Commonwealth premier must still listen to all the stakeholders at play here, and that includes the enviromentalists who have dedicated their life to sparing the Kimberley region from any form of inappropriate industrialisation.

NEW SOUTH WALES POLICE OFTEN SET A TECHNOLOGY TREND FOR OTHER STATES TO FOLLOW SUIT

Channel 9's A Current Affair program often excels in highlighting issues of police heavy handedness in New South Wales, a police force which most of the time sets the trends for other state police forces to follow suit on the introduction of brand new crime fighting technology. And the latest one that's about to hit the streets, a see all police camera which has an astonishing range of hundreds
of metres to pick up all manner of technically illegal activities that people are getting up to behind the wheel of a motor vehicle, will be a blessing for road safety if the technology isn't abused by the police but a curse if rogue police officers decide to overstep the mark and use the technology to harass and
book people for the most minor of misdemeanors which under any normal circumstances, without having an eagle eye long range camera spying on
them, would very unlikely result in a traffic accident occuring or anyone be-
ing injured or killed as a result of a minor transgression. I can see it already,
the power will go to the heads of many traffic coppers, there will be so ma-
ny instances where civilians will be booked for doing things like taking their
hand off the wheel briefly while they sneeze or having a dodgy windscreen
wiper & technically they wont have a leg to stand on should they challenge
their infringement notice in the courts. If we knew the police would leave it
at using these high tech cameras for offences like not wearing a seatbelt
or using a mobile phone while driving then fair enough, i believe they're a
good thing, but just like most forms of technology the temptation to abuse technology as a means of facilitating some people's ego and power trips
will quite possibly ensure that the new all purpose police cameras which
can virtually see anything inside and outside your car will not always be
used appropriately and for the genuine purposes of law enforcement.

WHITE HOUSE COULD BE HEADING FOR THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON ACCORDING TO COUNTER TERRORISM DISCUSSION PAPER

There is a discussion paper circulating around Capitol Hill in Washington D.C at the present time which amazingly is being considered very seriously by Barack Obama, vice president Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to re-lo-
cate the White House to the dark side of the moon. You heard right! A counter terrorism measure is the reasons being given by the NASA quacks who were commissioned to investigate the feasibility of tearing down the White House, loading up a specially built super sized space shuttle the size of Texas with
the demolished remains of the most famous house in america, then having specially trained carpenters and bricklayers put on a spacesuit and travel to
the side of the moon that none of us buggers see on earth to re-construct it there. Why not stick the White House on the bright side of the moon, starga-
zers with a telescope can then spy on Barack, Hillary and Joe and see what
they are getting up to on the moon in case they're feeling lonely up there on
that big piece of rock? The reason given against that idea is that mad arabs would still have a target to aim at and someone may get their hands on Iron
Man's supersonic suit and fly from earth to the moon in the direction of a re-constructed White House. B.O apparently has requested a feasibility report
from NASA as to making the White House airtight & capable of producing it's
own oxygen, complete with gardens equipped with artificial light and running water made from a mix of space harnessed hydrogen and compressed oxy-
gen that's also used to sustain human habitation inside the White House. The estimated bill to complete this most audacious & out of this world project is a staggering $7.45 trillion. Along with the re-location of the White House, there's also tentative plans within the discussion paper to construct a small lunar city around it which can support a small population of politicians, officer workers & potato farmers. Crazily but predictably i guess there is even a suggestion for a Mc.Donalds on the moon. The things americans will do to steer clear of crazy people from the Middle East. Anyone for a Big Mac made out of alien mince?

CLIVE PALMER SOUNDS LIKE HE'S BEEN GIVEN THE INSIDE EDGE FROM GRAHAM RICHARDSON AND LAURIE OAKES

My intention now is to steer away from politics just for the sake of writing about politics, i was never intending to lend an ear to the partisan fantasies of billionaire mining magnate and LNP supporter Clive Palmer at any stage, but his prediction of what the next Queensland parliament will be comprised of is worth a mention, maybe his fantasy will become a reality afterall. Clive sounded like he had been having a few coffees with Graham Richardson and Laurie Oakes when making the bold prediction that the Labor Party would not win a single seat in the com-
ing state election, personally i dont Labor will win too many, but i'm sure a few hardcore Labor Party heartland seats will be saved for the party, even if by the width of a bee's thingo. Some seats of note include Albert, Logan, Cairns and Toowoomba North. The latter three are Labor to the core and have been for a long time, things are crook in Muswellbrook for the Labor Party if they cant win those. The incompetent performance put on by Transport Minister Rachel Nol-
an in her Ipswich based electorate has seen an unprecedented shift in support towards the LNP and the Australian Party right across this Labor stalwartsville from Labor and it certainly vindicates the bold theory of Clive Palmer that it is lights out for Labor all across Queensland. I dont think he is actually as far off
the mark as what some political pundents are saying he is. The most intense showdown in the election campaign would appear to be the one brewing up in Ashgrove, between incumbent Labor MP Kate Jones and alternative premier Campbell Newman, you can be guarenteed Ms. Jones is walking her butt off doorknocking the area in a somewhat desperate effort to stave off a cashed
up LNP campaign to knock her off. She probaly wont win, Campbell has the momentum and the gift of the gab, also Labor incumbency in the electorate probaly means the traditionally swing either seat will fall Can Do's way. But
there's no guarentees, Kate's best chance of survival will be to distant her-
self from the Labor Party figures who put the party in a rut in the first place -
Bligh, Andrew Fraser and Kevin Rudd. Basically her only chance is to stay completely autonomous and view Ashgrove as her little Queensland. A lot
of LNP voters who have a soft spot for Jones would have preferred to see Newman run in South Brisbane instead, but that would have been too risky considering the massive leftist vote for Bligh which has always come out of neighbouring West End. Kate Jones is one of only about 4 Labor MP's who
have done a good job in the Labor government, the rest of them have been useless and/or negligent. The LNP should win very comfortably like big Clive reckons, my prediction is the LNP will win around 50, the Australian Party 20, with the rest being shared between Labor and independents. You might be a
bit surprised, but dont be completely shocked, if the LNP hasn't already come
up with plan B in case Tim Nicholls is the one who has to accept the premier-
ship in the event of a major election night upset. Bob Katter can only laugh.

The beauty of being a writer as opposed to a journalist is that you can go out on the occasional limb and present a hypothesis, a conspiracy theory, even some argumentive bullcrap in small doses, and let the people who read and see what you present decide for themselves how much truth there is in what you are put-
ting before them. Certainly, there's such a thing as the New World Order, but the question still rages just how many and who belongs to it. Automatically whenever
i hear the name New World Order i then think of the International Monetary Fund, i think of Israel & Capitol Hill, Bilderberg, United Nations as well as the hardcore
Babylonian freemasons who control america from the ground up both politically and financially. Pitching the Rockefeller Foundation in the New World Order mix is not something i've ever done, simply because i never had any idea until now what this medical institution is rumoured to have done over the past 100 years
in the accompanying compelling You Tube video clip. Why would it neccesarily cross the mind of the majority that a NWO alligned elistist bandwagon of doc-
tors in the early 20th century would have devised a plan through medicine to
aid and abett the fascist agenda of the NWO and those in political high places belonging to it? The only reason i saw this video was because somebody had tagged it against my old blog on Dr. John Holt from Perth in Western Australia, the cancer doctor who claims, and for some good reasons from my own better knowledge, that his radical radiation treatment to cure terminal cancers left him marginalised within Australia by the Australian Medical Association knowing his drug free treatment would cost drug companies millions and by some 'jealous' doctors in his field of expertise who didn't want the cancer cure genie left out of the bottle by an experimental old geezer so to speak like Holt. I am only too hap-
py to extend the John Holt medical argument to look at the machinations of the Rockefeller Foundation, which just like the Australian Medical Association and i would suspect the American Medical Association, operates precisely within a manipulated paradigm of intolerance towards accepting any form of alternative medical treatment, be that naturopathy or the likes of Holt's cancer chamber.

Obviously, Holt is a goldfish in an olympic sized swimming pool on the scale of comparing the snubbing of his cancer treatment in Australia with what the unho-
ly alliance of the Rockefeller Foundation and the Food and Drug Administration (USA) is said to have been jointly scheming in america over the past 100 years as part of a broader New World Order agenda to not only have totalitarian con-
trol over modern medicine and how it's administered but just about everything and everyone in the world at some point down the line. The most compelling accusation made in this video is about the banning of apricot seeds for sale in the US, which contain the very precious and potentially cancer curing vitamin B17. It has been alledged that naturopaths have had their shops trashed and products containing B17 confiscated by force, and it has been made illegal to
sell or distribute apricot seeds. Clearly, it is totalitarian madness in what was once the free world, if it is true. I will now have to find out if it is legal to be in possession of apricot seeds in Australia. Even it be coincidental and even if
this video is somewhat of a conspiracy theory, if only half of what you see
on there is fair dinkum then God be with us because the NWO has arrived.
Please also note that according to this video clip right at the end the British government banned the sale, distribution and possession of apricot seeds immediately following the FDA's decision in the US to do so. Therefore it implicates both the US and British government which was in power then.

SUNCORP AND THE BIG 4 BANKS MUST BE STOPPED FROM SENDING ANY MORE AUSSIE JOBS OVERSEAS

The politicians and big corporate end of town in Australia must think australians are a fairly dumb lot of people. That's the only logical conclusion one can reach when you consider that the australian manufacturing industry is basically dead now, as though australians aren't smart enough to make anything these days, not even a pair of King Gee's or a can of Golden Circle pineapple slices, and thousands upon thousands of jobs in the financial and insurance sector are
being sent overseas to low paid folks in India and The Philippines at the ex-
pense of australians and their precious & increasingly endangered employ-
ment prospects in Australia. The ongoing push to employ foreigners in over-
seas call centres to facilitate phone enquiries from australians isn't exactly a
vote of confidence in the abilities of some intelligent and culturally aclimatised australians to be the most suitable people to be employed in such a capacity, regardless of the fact that the primary agenda behind the push by the banks to send call centre jobs overseas is purely a matter of unreserved and malicious greed. Of course making mountains of money for shareholders is the primary reason for all this, workers in south-east Asia and India are probaly earning a tenth at best of what australians are mostly earning, goes to show the sheer shortsightedness of banks to not settle for a $100 million less in profit for the
past financial year & employ people who actually know what they are talking about when an australian phones them up with an enquiry rather than having foreigners who are still reading off a language and slang chart who can barely speak english trying in truly incompetent fashion to substitute an australian who lost their job to give them one. There is much speculation swirling around in the australian media that each one of the big 4 banks has already actioned a plan to continue on down the old merry path of sending thousands more jobs overseas, Westpac in particular appears to be on a ruthless warpath to do so, even to the point of forcing their australian workforce to train sweatshop rate imports from India who fly in on a visa to Austrlia to do their job just before they get sacked. Even Suncorp in Queensland and their insurance division is under the media microscope regarding plans by the state icon to send hundreds of call centre jobs overseas over the next few years. The way it's going there will be no jobs
left in Australia, no manufacturing industry left at all, and not even oppurtunities for australian workers to be employed as a paper shuffler from this moment on.

YOU MUST NOT CONSUME ASPARTAME UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - DIABETES OR NO DIABETES

I am not normally so impulsive to write something straight off the
bat in the middle of the day on the basis of just one email which
someone sends me, but the controversy which this email brung
to my attention required this spontaneous response. I got a ques-
tion for all my readers. Do you consume products containing ar-
tificial sweeteners, most commonly Aspartame? If you do then
you should seriously consider either drinking water or taking a
punt on having the odd binge of sugar. There were a heap of
You Tube mini docos on the subject of the dangers of consu-
ming Aspartame, more commonly known as Nutra Sweet or
the chemical name of Phenylalanine, i picked one out which
i found was the most informative. Across Australia, the Nutra
Sweet branding disappeared long ago and products contain-
ing Aspartame in this country only display its presence under
the name Phenylalanine or some other very dubious sounding
chemical names. When i went to the US in 1987, i will always
remember that in america products containing Nutra Sweet
carried a health warning below the Nutra Sweet logo warning
consumers that it was known to have caused cancer in labo-
ratory animals, and yet at exactly the same time Nutra Sweet
products in Australia didn't carry any warning at all about the
potential dangers of consuming Aspartame in any quantity.

Are you going to try and tell me that Nutra Sweet in Australia was a safe version of the same artificial sweetener? It would seem the health authorities in Australia over twenty years ago were already covering up the whole thing with Aspartame. To this day, millions of people around the world, including many fitness fanatics and diabetics, are drinking sugar free soft drinks and sports drinks every single day thinking they are doing themselves a favour by avoiding sugar. They would
in fact be better off getting a jar of sugar and eating a few spoons of it out of the bowl. Aspartame is highly suspected to the point of virtual undeniability of caus-
ing seizures, stomach spasms, ADHD, depression, panic attacks & may very well be responsible for bringing on Parkinsons Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and
a host of other less known neurological conditions in people who regularly con-
sume Aspartame over a prolonged period of time. The stuff is really bad news, like Saccharin was proven to be too, and the time has come for the health au-
thorities in Australia to come clean as to why Aspartame (commonly known as
Phenylalanine or something similiar to that) is not only the subject of a new and independent investigation to determine and prove how unsafe it really is but also why no warning on the labels of foods & drinks containing Aspartame has been made mandatory in Australia despite all the tangible evidence stacked against it.

ELECTRICAL TRADES UNION FULL PAGE NEWSPAPER AD DESIGNED TO GET CAMPBELL NEWMAN TALKING

Even though it is blatantly obvious that the Queensland Electrical
Trades Union (ETU) went after the head of LNP leader Campbell
Newman purely for politically motivated reasons courtesy of the
one page newspaper advertisement appearing in the weekend
edition of the Courier Mail , Newman nonetheless is obliged to
give a commitment that an LNP government wont sell off any
assets in the way of power generation other than what has al-
ready been sold off as far as the retail distribution companies
go. The ETU indicated that Campbell Newman refuses to pro-
vide an undertaking to the union, unlike what the Labor Party,
the Greens and the Australian Party have done, that the LNP
has no plans devised to privatise any part of the actual pow-
er generation industry in Queensland and putting it bluntly,
the actual power stations and the power grids which link
the latter with the user end infrastructure which the exist-
ing privately operated retail electricity distributors have
ownership and control over already courtesy of Labor.

The ETU ad mentioned that the NSW O'Farrell government has already done the same thing, even though this government which was elected last March was not elected with any populist mandate to privatise the electrical generation portion of the industry, given that O'Farrell made no mention of any such plans prior to the state election. I am not in a position to know whether that accusation is true or not but i am inclined to think O'Farrell has a case to answer for as far as being upfront about any privatisation agendas in general across NSW. What Can Do Campbell has to understand is that a majority of Queenslanders felt extremely betrayed by Anna Bligh personally after the last state election when it become evident that the Labor government was going to sell state assets, despite the
fact that there was no mention of such plans before the election and hence a majority rightfully felt the asset sales were illegitimate and plain undemocratic because they were only announced after the election. If Campbell Newman is under any illusion he can do the same thing which Bligh did, and that is allow state owned power stations to be privatised but not be completely upfront and straightforward about any such plans before the coming state election, then he like Bligh will go down in history as a sneaky and deceptive politician who hasn't got the guts to let the people know who they are and what they are voting for as far as what position the LNP holds on privatisation. Like the ETU is demanding, Campbell Newman must come clean on the issue and stop shutting his trap as though he has something to hide. He doesn't usually have a problem opening it.

DAD'S LEATHER BELT DONE ME NO HARM SO THE ANTI-SMACKING LEFTLANDERS CAN GO AND GET LOST

I cant remember it of course, i was only about 2 and a half years
old, but my father gave me a good flogging with his leather strap.
From what my parents told me later as i was growing up, i went
through a rebellious stage around that age where i did not want
to respect their authority and i was basically completely running
amok terribly. I really needed to be brought back into line, from
all reports i was a happy and contented baby who didn't cause
my parents too many dramas but at 2 and a half i got the idea
i ruled the roost in the house. No amount of talking was ever
going to bring me back into line, i needed a good smack that
is forsure and i got a lot more to boot. Do you think my dad
was wrong to do that? I certainly dont, and i didn't suffer any
permanent physical injury and it made me me behave myself.

Right now in Australia there are a heap of self righteous do-
gooders out there from the left of society who are hellbent
on outlawing smacking of children and making it a criminal
offence for any parent to do so. The wheels are in motion
right now to have Australia follow the lead of many other
countries, like New Zealand and Sweden, in banning all
forms of domestic corporal punishment, even a smack
as well. I mean to say now, does this fringe dwelling mi-
nority who is fueling the agenda for the government to
bring such a law in know just what a can of worms is
going to be opened if parents cant give misbehaving
children a bit of a open handed spank on their back-
side or as my mum says 'a clip around the lober`, i
think lober means ear if you are talking in german.

Chances are they do know but in their perpetual state of de-
sensitity to the realities of society and responsible parenting
they continue on their merry way accusing any parents who
smack their kids as being child abusers and not fit to have
custody of their own flesh and blood. Most of them are the
ones who probaly had parents who crossed that forbidden
line and actually punched them and caused them to suffer
physical injury during their childhood years. Physical injury
doesn't include a few red welt marks which do not break
the skin or cause bruising in my book of common sense.

The most scariest aspect of the potential rumoured laws pro-
hibiting the smacking of children in Australia is that anybody
will be able to make false complaints without any witness
against a parent or parents for alledgedly assaulting their
children, a terrifying prospect for any parent considering
that even one tiny smacking in public which some other
woozer sees could result in them having child welfare
breathing down their neck and i loathe to say having
their children forcibly taken away from them by the
likes of the Department of Communities in Queens-
land or the equivalent in the other australian states.
This is why smacking laws will never work, not on-
ly will they be impractical and totally infringe upon
the rights of parents to disipline their children as
they see fit (but within reason), but they will also
open up a can of worms from a legal perspective
where good responsible parents who occasional-
ly feel they have to smack their children will from
now on be risking everything if they are ever seen
doing so within eyeshot of anybody bar themselves.

FLOOD COMMISSION CANNOT AFFORD TO BECOME A KANGAROO COURT FOR SEQ WATER SCAPEGOATS

Make no mistake, Anna Bligh and Labor in Queensland are going
to suck every drop of political petroleum out of all the theatrics
surrounding the Queensland Flood Commission inquiry and
both individual and party can expect to receive some posi-
tive and carefully rehearsed coverage in the coming elec-
tion campaign from Brisbane's The Courier Mail. Despite
the constant denials over the years from CM journalists
that the newspaper is biased towards the Labor Party
and especially the right wing factions within the party,
it's always very plain to see around election time that
the editors at least who run the newspaper will invent
out of thin air some 'pro-Labor government' coverage
that tries to buy the Labor Party a bit more in the way
of voter compassion by playing the predictable stick
with the devil you know is always better argument.

You can have a yawn at this point, i know i just about am,
because i was here way back in early 2009 when around
two dozen unelected News Limited journalists effectively
concocted a way to get Labor over the line with a lot of
typical socialist tinged reporting you would expect from
the Courier Mail and various community newspapers
published by Quest. Not that i am having a go here at
Michael Madigan, the journalist who's been assigned
to cover the Flood Commission inquiry that's current-
ly under way in Brisbane. His front pager today called
WE'VE BEEN DUPED is essentially what you would
term court reporting, not journalism. It's a reasonably
good article, although you can be almost guarenteed
Madigan's coverage of the ongoing inquiry is almost
assuredly going to be utilised as a perfect decoy by
his superiors at the most highest editorial level to le-
gitimise the delaying of the next state election to aid
Anna Bligh's very slim re-election chances and give
some other CM journos some breathing space to in-
vent unrelated pro-government spin which always is
going to favour Labor. History is repeated yet again.

What's the bet that people like SEQ Water engineer John
Tibaldi will end up being made theatrical scapegoats by
the state government, just before the election is due,
for the disastrous & ill timed Wivenhoe Dam water
releases in January 2011 which is what the inquiry
is about and which caused thousands of homes in
Brisbane and Ipswich to be swamped and inflicted
damage to private properties and public infrastruc-
ture worth billons. Even though Tibaldi and other
SEQ Water officials technically went up against
the rules as such and disregarded what was out-
lined in the water release manual to action in the
event of a major flooding event, i do not believe
anyone should be facing jail time for concocting
a few stories on the hop when they were faced
with a once in 200 year deluge which was com-
pletely freakish and defied all the meteorogical
definitions. Some of them focked up, they are

TIME HAS COME FOR TURKISH CYPRUS TO BE OFFICIALLY RECOGNISED IN THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

Partitioned terrority in disputed regions of the world are an
unavoidable fact of life, it always has been that way and al-
ways will be. There's never been a war that did not begin
as the result of disputed ownership of land, religeous and
cultural rivalry have always been responsible for fueling a
war, but not starting one. It may seem the case at times,
the media portrayed the war in Iraq as a Sunni muslim
versus Shite muslim war initiated by an ideological nut-
case named Saddam Hussein, a religeous battle built
on ancient religeous intolerance between the two tribes.

Much the same as Northern Ireland was represented by
the media for the two decades long civil war brought on
by the Irish Republican Army, more people than not to
this day are under the impression that the main reas-
ons why the IRA went around blowing up and killing
innocent people was religeon. Extremist catholics
versus the Anglican moderates who had control of
the dispusted country from London? Well religeon
certainly fueled the agenda of the IRA in the after-
math of the Sunday Bloody Sunday massacre but
in reality the original provocation for the Northern
Ireland civil war was a domestic land dispute be-
tween Northern Ireland nationals. It had nothing
to do with ancient catholic and anglican rivalries
or the agenda of a minority to break ranks with
the UK to begin with, even if it eventually did.

It resembles the situation which the island of Timor was
faced with, more of a political stouch than one inflamed
by land rights or religeon, but where i wanted this article
to head towards was to highlight the sitaution that has
consumed the Mediterranean island of Cyprus since
a civil war erupted there in 1974 between the Greek
& Turkish nationalists, even though the tense truce
which was struck between the opposing sides con-
tinues to be observed to this very day and there is
no evident signs of a civil war there, all that could
change if the mainland government back in eith-
er Greece or Turkey wanted to take on a more
nationalist approach to settling the old scores
which were never settled completely all those
years ago and claim outright sovereignty over
the island of Cyprus. To this day, the princi-
pality of Northern Cyprus, the portion of the
island which is controlled by Turkey, is not
recognised internationally. That equates to
approximately 36% of the island. Minus the
territory surrounding the two British milita-
ry bases, the actual recognised republic
of Cyprus, controlled mainly by Greeks
and encompassing around 59% of the
island's territory is what the internation-
al community at large recognises as
being the only legitimate administra-
tion on the heavily disputed island.

Obviously i do not know the full history behind the upri-
sing there in 1974 and which side was more to blame
for the uprising occuring, but the time has come for
Turkish Cyprus to become an official member of the
international community. Let bygones be bygones &
allow Greeks and Turks to live on Cyprus and share
it before a war is ever able to occur there ever again.
A diffrent sort of battle but lessons can be learned
from the Iraq and Northern Ireland battles as well
as East Timor too. Self determination can work.

LIMA DECLARATION IS THE BIBLE OF GLOBALIZATION

In March 1975, in the city of Lima in Peru, one faction of the
world's elite, the United Nations Industrial Development Or-

ally would materialise into a monster which nowadays we

across the world where protectionism doesn't even exist

tary ideology. Call it inter-pendence, G.A.T.T, North-

commo ideological belief system on globalisation)
or the New World Order as it's called now, what
we are seeing at the highest realm of political
and corporate office in the world right now is
a clear manifestation almost word for word of
what was laid out in the LIMA DECLARATION,
the document to end all doucments as far as
a one world order agenda is concerned which
essentially is just a written account of this very
secret meeting of world powers 37 years ago.

You can get a hold of a copy of the Lima Declaration from
the United Nations office in the capital city of your state,
or by contacting the Foreign Affairs department down
in Canberra. What this means for every individual on
the face of the earth is that every single government
in the developed world agreed by signing this treaty
back in 1975 to make the world one huge big mixing
bowl of industry and agriculture in the vain pursuit of
making the world a borderless quagmire of uncom-
petitive free trade. No consideration is provided in
the dialogue of the Lima Declaration for the obvi-
ous disparacies between currencies and how it's
impossible for richer countries to compete on the
workforce level with countries where workers are
happy to live off $50 a week. As we have already
seen in Australia since the days when sabotagers
like Keating & Hawke were on the economic war-
path attempting to make Australia a part of Asia,
free trade agreements do not work between any
countries when their currencies are not equal or
very close to it and when worker's wages aren't
in the same income bracket . Unlike what Paul
Keating & even Liberals such as John Howard
and John Hewson religeously are believers of,
globalisation can only ever work if the world
is either completely capitalist or completely
socialist from a fiscal perspective, and as
we are aware already, either scenario will
never occur. Both seem to be bad news.

What does it really mean for australians, americans, brits
& every other person living in a western democracy with
having the Lima Declaration controlling the minds of all
those holding political office and those who happen to
be the puppets pulling the strings behind Bilderberg,
the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Uni-
ted Nations? It certainly has a lot more bearing on
their lives than they probaly realise. Originally the
goal of the Lima Declaration was for 'participating'
countries to reduce the domestic export output by
30%, industrial and agriculture, with some sort of
a deluded vision that it would promote economic
prosperity and overall create a more competitive
free trade enviroment between diffrent countries.
I'm not so sure about other countries but i fully
well know that the australian manufacturing in-
dustry is nackered, nothing is made in Austra-
lia these days, and statistically 90% of all the
manufacturing industry has now been obliver-
ated by cheap imports. The NWO agenda to
sacrifice at least 30% of australian domes-
tic industry is also extended to agriculture
in the Lima Declaration, as well as all the
other countries that signed the treaty, it's
obvious already that the wheels are swiftly
in motion to dump more and more produce
as well as processed food made overseas
in Australia at the sad expense of our own
food processing industries, which is now
becoming almost non-existant, and the
farmers who depend on domestic retail
consumerism to keep going. The LIMA
DECLARATION should be enough to
make anybody realise that in reality
a small elistist minority have been
wanting to control the world for a
long time, it is just one of many
totalitarian treaties drawn up to
make globalisation a sad reality.

does not discriminate at all whatsoever and whether some-
one is as rich as the Sultan of Brunei or as dead poor as
a vagrant stealing potato peels out of a rubbish bin any-
one regardless of their status in the world can be very
easily struck down by the big black dog of depression
or a multitude of related mental illnesses falling with-
in the bracket of post traumatic, bi-polar and anxiety
disorders, to such a point where they set out to kill
themselves. The coward's method of dying but in-
stead of calling suicide victims wimps they're peo-
ple most of the time who could have been prevent-
ed from taking their own life if there was a lot more
understanding in the world and if the medical estab-
lishment was offering a whole lot more in the way
of services offering counselling which is afforda-
ble to the average person and not just the rich.

The biggest problem there is which is preventing so
many people suffering from mental illness recieving
the right and neccesary treatment is not just about
the cost or lack of services assessible in the psy-
schiatric industry, but just as much to do unfortu-
nately with the centuries old contempt that most
mainstream doctors have for psychiatry & alter-
native treatments such as hypnosis & acupunc-
ture, which are both known to help cure mental
illness in the majority of instances if it's applied
correctly. It is the same old dumb belief which
doctors have about chiropractors not knowing
more about bones and bad backs than they do,
of course they do, they're just not called doctors.

Government advertising on the TV outside an election campaign
was engineered to perfection by former prime minister John
Howard, and unfortunately for taxpayers, it has become the
norm for the state governments around Australia to carry
on that wasteful tradition and blow millions upon millions
of dollars on ads which grandstands on issues that any
competent government should have covered anyhow.
Anna Bligh just called the election in Queensland so
why may i ask has there been an endless stream of
pro-government advertisements on TV for months
and months already, starting fairly much soon af-
ter Bligh won the last election in March 2009. It
is very easy to be cynical of Anna Bligh wast-
ing taxpayers dollars on TV and newspaper
advertising when the hospital system is to-
tally screwed and infrastructure which was
damaged by floodwaters in the past year in
Queensland remains in wreck and in ruin.

Bligh at the very least should have attemp-
ted to save every precious dollar possible
to put towards these unresolved issues
before ever permitting her government
to go down the same path of Howard in
his final term as a prime minister when
he made a mockery of fiscal prudency
with the public purse. Whether it's the
solar scheme ads, the climate smart
ads or all the other propoganda that's
played on certain tearjerker issues it
simply has not been acceptable of
late the amount of pro-government
look at what we have all done ads
TV viewers have all been bombar-
ded with constantly. If Queensland
Labor or any other government in
Australia wants to promote itself
from now on then i say the party
should use its own funds to pay
for such advertising, outside an
election campaign all taxpayer
funded advertising should be
outlawed by new legislation.

HIGHWAY PATROL POLICE SHOULD DO THE COURTEOUS THING AND BOOK PEOPLE OFF THE MAIN DRAG

Coming back from Toogoolawah today to Brisbane, i noticed
like i have many times before on the motorways surround-
ing and connecting Brisbane that a police highway patrol
car which had pulled over a motorist on the side of the
road created an absolutely terrible traffic jam around
3 kilometres long all the way from Oxley to Rocklea
along the Ipswich Motorway. Even if legislation has
got to be passed to give police the power to move
motorists on to the nearest assessible exit off the
main road if an infringement notice needs to be is-
sued to an offending driver for whatever reason it's
something which needs to be done if such bedlam
can be avoided. It is just common sense, everyone
knows human nature causes people to slow down
to have a sticky beak when they see police flash-
ing lights or an accident up ahead when they're
driving along, police know this as well, so why
cant police use discretion on the major arteri-
als and be able to direct a driver to travel a
small distance to a specified location that's
given by the police officer responsible for
pulling them over so they can at least get
off a freeway and prevent an all out traf-
fic jam for no reason. There are already
enough accidents causing total bedlam
on our roads in Queensland every single
day, we dont need highway patrol police
big noting themselves making the situa-
tion worse for the sake of pinching one
single solitary motorist. I am positive-
ly sure this isn't an isolated incident.

DIXON THE EX-QANTAS CEO SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER THAN TO SAY WHAT ENDED UP IN THE AFR

This is the first of two shorties i am going to write tonight,
you know it really bugs me that i have a better chance of
saving up for a holiday to go to Fiji or Phuket than have a
holiday in my own country Australia. What bugs me more
is when you have people like former QANTAS chief exec-
utive Geoff Dixon making out that the australian general
public should just accept it as a fact of life these days
that Australia has become a very expensive place to
have a holiday & get over it, and instead of bitching
about that fact we should all look at the possibili-
ties of what the import holiday market from Asia
does offer to Australia in terms of tourist dollars
from yonder shore. Dixon did appear a lot less
concerned about australians who cannot even
afford having a holiday 50 k's down the road for
a few days in a caravan park. He was quoted
as saying certain things in total favour of the
import tourist trade from south Asia in place
of the domestic tourist trade quite recently
in the Australian Financial Review paper.

In other words, Dixon was pretty much saying that
australians who cannot even afford to have a holi-
day, and who do resent the fact that the political
and business powers that rule in Australia could
not care less about this growing trend and con-
done the rising costs to the hospitality industry
which is born through skyrocketing taxes and
operating costs which any company or busi-
ness owner will tell you are totally out of con-
trol and unequitable, are woozers and nay-
sayers for the sake of it by being an aus-
tralian and simply wanting to have an op-
purtunity of having a nice holiday in their
country for a reasonable price. Dixon's
comments were not only grossly out of
touch with reality but in the category of
ignoramus-elitist as well. Instead of be-
ing such a passionate campaigner for
the overseas tourist market he would
be better off pitching his pro-tourism
message to help his fellow australians.

US other than it is a real worry for free speech and democ-

such anti-government regulation sentiments. The
fact is the US government, led by Barack Obama,
is making it far too much of a troublesome habit to
introduce authoritarian legislation which appears
to totally conflict with the US consititution and the
spirit of free speech right across the board. For
whatever reason, President Obama wont come
out and explain to americans exactly just what
the heck is going on regarding the rumoured ci-
vilian prisons which alledgedly are dotted every-
where over the countryside right across the US
nowadays and will one day be used to imprison
american citizens without charge or the means
to appeal against such, just like not one single
senator, let alone the president, will let on as
to why the laws S510 and HR875 that have
banned people growing vegetables in inner
city precincts for their own consumption

DR. PHIL THE ACE TV PSYCHATRIST IS AN EXPERT AT FIXING THE MOST TWISTED OF TROUBLED MINDS

My new living arrangement in recent times has allowed me the
opprtunity to catch up on daytime television, and to my sur-
prise there are still some interesting shows on commercial
TV in Australia. I have never been a big television person to
be honest, but Channel Ten in particular offers some real
life programs, as well as good drama when escpaing re-
ality is the best option, that are entertaining and in the
case of shows like DR. PHIL and the THE DR'S are
most informative and educational as well. DR PHIL
in particular is a show i have taken a shine to, the
guy is truly a legend, preachy to the point of being
overbearing at times but even in those instances
his benevolence and compassion shines through.

After watching so many of his shows lately i am now
of the opinion that if Dr. Phil cannot help you out then
your mental issues must be genetic and pretty much
untreatable. We can all learn something from the ace
TV psychatrist anchor, to be perfectly honest i have
taken on board heaps of what the man has advised
people appearing on his show should do as a way
of dealing with their post traumatic discover that
i have suffered, but managed quite successfully
now for so many years. Dr. Phil can be literally
offensive, he says it how it is, but the obvious
thing is that he gets results. Some many peo-
ple who appear on his show seeking help for
their mental illness are complete crankpots to
say the least, most of the people who appear
on his show are there because its their last
resort, they either have never got the right
treatment/therapy for their mental issues
or they have got sub-standard help from
someone else. If you suffer from really
bad OCD or have anger management
issues that you cant manage then you
may well find Dr. Phil is the man, i am
sure he will be kept well employed for
the rest of his life helping americans
before he can help some australians
i know who should be hop on the first
plane they can in Dr. Phil's direction.

HOW MANY TIM BADRICK'S AND DAVID FAGAN'S CAN THE WORLD KEEP PUTTING UP WITH?

For all the browbeating and scathing commentary which i have
issued against a man by the name of David Fagan on a very
regular basis on here for just over two years, i nonetheless
have always been very mindful of namesake identity issues
and how a person's public profile and reputation be easi-
ly be compromised as a result of mistaken identity. Not
that the odds are great that the average citizen is going
to get a newspaper editor in Australia & a sheep shear-
er in New Zealand who have the same name mixed up
but stranger things have & can happen. As an example
of my beliefs on individuality and protecting those that
share the same name from being mistaken for some-
body else, there is in fact another Tim Badrick living
in Queensland, he is in fact a relative of mine down
the line somewhere and Tim is an extremely intelli-
gent young guy who studied medicine who has the
world at his feet. I'm very sure he must have been
asked quite a few times if he happened to be the
Tim Badrick who's plastered all over the internet
as a freelance writer and one time letter writer.

In respect for him, instead of calling this blog with my
full name with the word unadulterated following that, i
opted just to go by Badrick Unadulterated without the
Tim in front of it. If my name was John Smith, then
i wouldn't be so concerned about an identity issue
between me and a namesake because we know
how many Smith's are out there, but having 2 of
the very few Tim Badrick's existing in the world
living just down the highway from one another
in the same state of Australia is somewhat a
little out there and coincidental. Identity theft
is a growing & festering problem across the
world, it doesn't surprise me whatsoever that
those with common surnames, unlike myself,
are being increasingly targeted by many cyber-
criminals and the networks they're feeding off.

Especially if you do have a common surname,
be utmost careful about where your information
ends up being seen, dont throw paperwork with

GPS TRACKING SHOULD HAVE BEEN A CONDITION OF PRISON EXIT FOR WIGGINTON THE VAMPIRE KILLER

No matter how much rehabilitation or token remorse Tracey
Wigginton has undertaken and displays to the public, the
fact which can never be misconstrued is that she will al-
ways be a very troubled soul with a mind pre-disposed
to violence, psychosis & unnerving impulsiveness. She
was released from a Queensland jail last week after be-
ing in jail ever since 1991 for the bloodthirsty and sadis-
tic killing of Edward Baldock around the West End area
in 1989, which is across the river from Brisbane City.

Along with three 'bizarre' friends, Tracey Wigginton
lured Baldock into their car and then drove him to
a council park, where Wigginton, who would soon
become known as the 'vampire killer' in the after-
math of the crime, stabbed Baldock a total of 27
times in a frenzied attack which was both total-
ly unprovoked and at the extremity of wanton
brutality. But Wigginton was not content with
only killing Baldock, by eyewitness testimo-
nial account from her friends who indirectly
were involved in the killing, she then drunk
Baldock's blood after stabbing him in the
neck, slashing his main arterie, and then
drinking blood out through his neck. This
murder remains of the worst ever which
has ever been committed in Queensland,
on the brutality scale the crime is only ri-
valled by a handful of other crimes such
as the shocking killings of three innocent
men by psychotic felons Scott Maygar &
John Woodman in 2005 in Toowoomba.

Most definitely, it has to go down as one
of the most violent crimes committed by
a female in Queensland. All i wish to add
to the public debate about Wigginton be-
ing released on parole is straightforward,
that she should be monitored by way of
a GPS electronic tracking device, her
continued and newly found freedom
is already subject to 31 other strict
conditions which she must adhere
to at all times, but strangely enough
GPS tracking was not one of those
conditions laid down. Her freedom
must come at a cost to a number
of her civil liberties which all law
abiding citizens take for granted.

GOLDEN HANDSHAKES GALORE IN STORE FOR FUTURE FORMER QUEENLAND LABOR PARTY HAS BEENS

Apart from during election campaigns, i have now made it my
business to avoid politics or commentary on partisan poli-
tics, and officially, there is no word as yet as to when the
state election in Queensland is going to happen. But un-
officially, the word is Anna Bligh cannot hold out much
longer and it is only a matter of days before the inev-
itable annoucement will be made. So nearly will have
to be good enough for me & here i am - back to my
old self writing about silly politicians. If there's one
issue which is really riling a lot of Queenslanders
it is the one about politicians receiving huge and
unearned taxpayer funded pensions for the rest
of their lives long after they've been shown the
door by an election defeat. Labor is looking a
lot like it is going to get positively hammered
at the next poll, and a line-up of frontbench-
ers in the Labor Party are going to be suck-
ing the system dry for the years to come as
deadbeat former politicians living the life of
a king or queen on pensions which will reap
them at least 100K a year with many other
lurks and perks. In particular, there hap-
pens to be a lot of resentment over what
Deputy Premier Andrew Fraser is in line
to recieve after a likely ass whipping in
his marginal seat of Mt. Cootha at the
looming election. This weezel buzzard
of a smart Alec, who's arrogance and
smugness on its own is completely un-
derwhelming, is effectively going to re-
ceive anywhere up to $10 million from
now until he passes away, apparently
his pension is a reward for stuffing up
the Queensland economy to an extent
whereby the only way to save it from
permanent destruction is for either a
re-elected Labor Party or the likely
elected LNP to use coal seam gas
and tax hikes, as well as selling off
the farm with more asset sales, to
get Queensland and Queensland-
ers out of the shit. As well as Mr.
Fraser, you have people such as
Schwarten, Wallace, Mickel and
many other 'bolters' looking set
to receive some very generous
post-political life renumeration.

try and make it more interactive and to give it some meaty
substance, always one to be a minimalist who doesn't like
to make something look too busy for the past three years
i have had a fairly empty and simple page. The one thing
that has amazed me more than anything else since i ed-
ited the page setout has been the automatically genera-
ted popular links column near the top of the page, up
until 2012 i have never followed any statistics which
Google keeps a track of as to which posts are being
viewed the most, the only thing i occasionally done
up until now was look at my overall page views. It
is kind of bizarre to me that a few of my ancient
blogs from the old days, like the one about the
idea of flooding Lake Eyre, or the one which i
wrote about the Holocaust after receiving an
envelope in my letter box with anti-semetic
literature, are still garnishing the lions share
of my previous 7 day views on my website.

The popular posts which are on here per-

week, not month or the whole time that
i have had Badrick Unadulterated. While
i do not mind at all that readers hold on
to the perspectives and thoughts which
i expressed on all my blogs ever since
i began this, and decide to personally
connect with them and follow them for
evermore, everyone would be doing me
a massive favour if they would copy any
particular blog that i have written since
whenever, or cache it to their compu-
ter program, if they want to have a
copy of it and have it indefinitely.

The problem i do have is that i cannot
decide for my own self what i believe is
more relevant and promote some blog
which i feel should be popular even if
it wasn't around the time when i first
wrote it. In a way, having the popular
posts links column on my website will
be counter-productive because what
i really need is to promote blogs that
sunk without a trace but were what i
consider to be my best in journalis-
tic terms. Dont get me wrong, it is
totally fine with me for articles like
Bindoon Boys Town and Dr. Holt
to keep getting hits on my website,
but i would ask that if you want to
keep following a particular blog to
get it out of the Google system &
copy it/cache it to somewhere of
a third party status so my website
can breathe with newer material.

SOMERSET LIKE SO MANY OTHER REGIONS IS LACKING A RESPONSIBLE RECYCLING INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN

After i recently bought a house in Toogoolawah, i catego-
rically stated on this website that i would never write any-
thing about Toogoolawah and all of Somerset Regional
Council area. For good reason, because trying to be a
good guy on here made me enemies in my old hunting
ground of Logan. As a resident of the Brisbane Valley
now, i would have to have a very good and dare i say
emotive reason to break my own covenant about my
self imposed ban with writing about local matters in
my new neighbourhood and right now i am about to
do that, relucantly but without any sort of untoward
agenda. There is just one issue up in Toogoolawah
as well as the whole of Somerset which even only
after 6 weeks officially living there gets under my
skin just a wee too much to ignore. I am referring
to recycling, and i am sure that what i am about
to tell you about is the same in many other re-
gional councils around Queensland and prob-
aly Australia for all i know. In Somerset, there
is no recycling bin at all, not even a split bin,
and judging by all the PET plastic bottles &
metal cans ect which are marked as recyc-
lable which i'm taking back to my parent's
house in Brisbane after my weekly stint
at Toogoolawah all i can imagine is that
there must be an absolute mountain of
PET plastic being dumped unneccesa-
rily in the region of Somerset Council
each hour of each day. In all fairness
to this council, there are a number
of transfer stations dotted around
the region allowing enviromentally
conscious residents to take their
used metal tins & cans to which
are then picked up regularly and
taken to Ipswich or Brisbane for
recycling, but PET plastic bot-
tles are not provided the same
chance of avoiding the landfill.
Like many councils in Queens-
land, i do realise that Somerset
Regional Council is somewhat
cashstrapped and isn't in any
position to give the residents
in the Brisbane Valley some
kind of permanent recycling
bin, that is fair enough and
understood. But at the very
least the residents need to
be able to take their empty
plastic bottles to a trans-
fer station as well in the
area if they want to take
the time to do so if they
wish to be an enviromen-
tally responsible citizen.

JAPANESE WHALING CONTINUES WHILE SUSHI BARS IN TOKYO KEEP SERVING UP THE MERCURY

The latest japanese whaling protester misadventure off
the coast of Western Australia brought the kind of re-
sponse from prime minister Julia Gillard that one has
really got to question, given her complete lack of pa-
triotism and concern for the wellbeing of whales. It
appears Gillard, just like Rudd and Howard before
her, would sooner suck up to the japanese & for-
get all the undeniable scientific evidence which
clearly proves that Japan's whaling program is
not for genuine scientific research and accurate
medical evidence that has international backing
in the medical fraternity which indicates beyond
all doubt that whale flesh is contaminated with
toxic heavy metals, 'notably' mercury. Why are
our leaders in western nations not only playing
a game of superficial diplomacy with Japan on
the issue but also turning a completely negli-
gent blind eye to the health risks which many
people in Japan who eat whale flesh in their
sushi like its going out of fashion are being
subjected to every time they eat it because
of their own government's negligence and
the australian government and every other
western government that will not force the
japanese to comply or be damned in the
international community. Now if only the
japanese whalers would just get lost too.

BOLIVIA AND PARAGUAY TO REMAIN PART OF THE THIRD WORLD UNTIL THEY GET ACCESS TO THE PACIFIC OCEAN

Economically speaking being landlocked and not having a sea
port means the country is behind the 8 ball regardless of how
well a country is being managed. South America happens to
be a part of the world where governments mind their own
business and dont meddle too much at all in world affairs,
when was the last time you heard that Brazil or Colombia
was picking a fight with an arab dictator and spending a
trillion dollars fighting a bi-lateral battle overseas some-
where? You must have been drinking too much if you
ever heard diffrently. In South America, two countries
do remain hamstrung by geographical isolation to the
sea, being BOLIVIA and PARAGUAY. Both countries
are considered to be third world nations, money is a
scarce commodity, their economies are based upon
peasant bootleg economics, ugly union spats anti the
governments by masses of underpayed workers are
common place, and really there is no prospect of a
change of political & economic dynamics in these
countries while vainly trying to remain on an even
keel with countries like Brazil, Argentina, Peru &
Chile. There is no law against it, a prime exam-
ple is the negotiated border which was created
out of the former Yugoslavia when Croatia was
prepared to 'donate' a 20 kilometre strip of its
post Balkan War disputed territory to the new-
ly recognised Bosnia Herzegovina in all good
faith so that this country had vital access to
the sea so it had a fighting oppurtunity to de-
velop a more sustainable economy. There
are many other examples besides Bolivia
and Paraguay, but they would be two of
the more practical examples of where a
neighbouring country could undertake a
territory swap of sorts and allow the two
countries to obtain (or share) some kind
of logistical access to the Pacific Ocean.
It would also make a heap of economic
sense to all the neighbouring countries
in South America, including the likes
of Peru and Chile which would need
to be involved in such a negotiation,
if these third world presently impov-
erished bordering countries had ac-
cess to the sea and were allowed
to advance a lot more in the future.
Argentina might also have to be in-
volved by loosing a small strip of
its northern frontier to make this
a possibility for Paraguay to join
a territoral corridor that links the
western part of Bolivia to the sea.
The barren & protected Atacama
Desert in northern Chile may well
get in the road, so perhaps logis-
tically it might well be a little too
probmatic to help out Paraguay.
But Bolivia would be an easier
proposal, if you can construct
the Panama Canal then it can
be done, it is known as vision.

ETHANOL REMAINS AN UNPOPULAR CHOICE OF ALTERNATIVE FUEL FOR DIEHARD CAR LOVERS

For many months now i have gone out of my way to protest
against coal seam gas, not because of the gas itself but
the methods which have to be applied to bring it to the
surface. Such is known as fracking. But in a complete-
ly objective sense, i would be irresponsible if i were to
say that we should not have coal seam gas drilling
anywhere, because coal seam gas is a clean form
of energy which in comparison to coal itself does
release a lot less CO2 into the atmosphere when
burned. The thing i am uncompromisingly against
is fracking on cropping agricultural farmland full
stop with no exceptions. There are far too many
enviromental risks to allow this to ever happen.

While on the subject of clean alternative fuels,
ethanol is of course being increasingly added to
more and more petroleum products nowadays,
big question remains just what price does older
engines pay for the sake of cutting greenhouse
gases and cutting down on the need for crude
oil to create petroleum. There has been much
speculation in the motor mechanical industry
for years that ethanol is bad news for most
cars, not just older cars, because it burns
too hot and ends up burning the valves out
in vehicles which supposedly are tolerant
of ethanol. Most of the mechanics which i
have used over the past few years are to-
totally anti-ethanol because they have all
said that the best way to cook an engine
in any car, even the ones manufactured
from 2000 onwards, is to use ethanol in
any quantity. The word has always been
that it's only a question of just how long
it's going take to cook an engine, not if
it will ever happen. I am still using high
octane fuel without any ethanol added
until i am convinced by the car com-
panies themselves that many motor
mechanics are talking through their hat.

ENIGMATIC ROEBUCK LEFT MANY QUESTIONS UNANSWERED AFTER LEAPING TO THIS DEATH

No matter how you look at it, in hindsight Peter Roebuck
was always somewhat of a strange and eccentric cha-
racter right from his cricket playing days until he was a
well respected sports journalist for the Sydney Morning
Herald and The Age newspaper in Melbourne. Some-
where along the line in his life Roebuck developed a
second life parallel to the public one which as was
exposed after his death included some extremely
bizarre and sleezy behaviour, if not plain criminal.
Roebuck is no longer living to defend himself so
i wont make any accusations which is above and
beyond what the press media have already report-
ed in Australia following a shock suicide death after
he jumped from an apartment in Cape Town, but
considering he done so when the police were al-
ready there to question him over alledged sex-
ual assault charges, does not make Roebuck
look really innocent does it? Having said that,
Roebuck was only ever formally charged for
a criminal offence when in 1999 his caning
of three young men (all aged 19) who were
South Africans who Roebuck met there &
took back to England as a cricket coach,
notably on their bare buttocks, saw him
given a suspended jail sentence as well
as a conviction on three counts of com-
mon assaults. Roebuck gives one the
impression that he either was sexually
perverted to some extent or he had an
inclination towards sado masochism
to an extent as well. That is highlight-
ed by the testimony which one of his
caning victims gave which indicated
Roebuck was much more interested
in seeing bare buttocks after he had
caned them than committing the act
itself. But the redeeming element as
for Roebuck's legacy strangely in a
way is no one hardly at all has too
much bad to say about him, even
the young men who Roebuck had
domineered and intimidated when
living with him. He was a complete
weirdo, his left wing eccentricities

Dont go and ask your doctor if there is any truth to it or
you will probaly be accused of being gullible and a true
believing in wive tales. I am referring to the old theory
that would have you believing the secret to all round
good health & a good nights sleep is to observe the
laws of magnetism & have your bed positioned so
you sleep with your head facing north & feet head-
ing in the south direction, precisely. Up until very
recently, i had never given the hypothesis a lot of
thought at all, but having never enjoyed a restful,
peaceful sleep as such for many years, i was
motivated to find out and prove myself if there
is any truth to the theory. Where i have been
living for around 6 years, i discovered with
the aid of a compass that i had been sleep-
ing almost in an east-west direction which
if the theory is correct completely scram-
bles your body's circuitry and interferes
with your brain signals when you're in a
deep sleep. My bed in my new home is
on wheels, which makes it easy to shift
it around, but without changing its po-
sition it was already placed precisely
in the north to south head to toe po-
sition. I dont believe it is my imag-
ination, i am sleeping like a total
baby for the first time each time i
sleep at my house, but when i go
back to my folks and sleep in the
old bed in an east-west position,
i have a rotten sleep dreaming
crazy stuff and waking up like i
have been run over by a paddle-
steamer. I can assure you that
it has got nothing to do with al-
chohol consumption or medi-
cation, it truly seems like it
is a fair dinkum theory that
stands up to practical scru-
tiny. Try it yourself, it's for
real and it really does work.

POLICE PATROLLING THE US-CANADA FRONTIER ARE LOOKING FOR ANY REASON TO PICK A FIGHT

Over twenty years on from the infamous Rodney King flogging
which was captured on amateur video and resulted in charges
being laid against a number of LA police officers, america is
now under grip from a much more blanketing type of brutali-
ty at the hands of police, and the race card is no longer the
culprit. What i do mean by saying that is every american
more and more now and not just blacks and hispanics
are being mistreated and/or intimidated by police offi-
cers at will without charge or reasonable suspicion
of doing something genuinely illegal. The US is fast
becoming a police state where constitutional rights
and treating people as innocent until proven to be
guilty is a long forgotten principle. From first hand
knowledge, i am aware that US citizens who live
close to Canada & frequently cross the border
of the two countries for work related reasons
are being treated as criminals by power trip-
py and paranoid US police officers in their
own towns & cities every time they come
back home. Everything from the confisca-
tion of pocket knives and personal pos-
sessions like power tools at the bor-
der gate, police doing drive-bys of
peoples homes in an intentionally
confrontational manner like they
are looking for any reason to get
someone in a headlock, as well
as the occasional but growing
incidence of innocent people
being assaulted without any
charge by US police is very
much an indication that US
law enforcement is totally
out of control in a number
of areas and every US po-
lice officer must be read
the riot act to chill out or
get out of the police force.

ALASKAN WILDERNESS CONTINUES TO BE EYED OFF TO MEET AMERICA'S LOVE AFFAIR WITH OIL

The Artic National Wildlife Refuge, which is a huge parcel of
land in north-east Alaska, abutting the Artic Ocean, is pro-
ving to be a devisive political issue in the power portals
of Washington DC after President Barack Obama and
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did recently vote in
the Congress against any moves to allow the drilling
for oil to commence within this much disputed zone.

Ever since President Jimmy Carter signed into law
the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act
in 1980, there have been repeated attempts to get the
numbers on both sides of Congress to repeal the leg-
islation, but to this day this has remained intact and
none of the designated wilderness areas in Alaska
have been used for drilling oil. In 1987 both the US
and Canadian governments collectively instituted
a treaty to protect many Porcupine Caribou herds
within the ANWF as well as neigbouring reserves
in Canada, only then two years later to have the
republican majority senate almost successfully
get a bill through the Congress to allow drilling
there for the first time. The only thing which
stopped it occuring was the Exxon Valdez
oil disaster off the west coast of Alaska in
the same year. It's been a merry go round
of on again-off again agendas ever since.

Whether or not oil drilling is ever permitted
to occur within such a pristine artic enviro-
ment, the decision should not come down
to what 300 eskimoes in the seaside town
of Kaktovic on the coast of Alaska desire.
This is what was suggested on a docu-
mentary i recently saw. Do you believe
oil drilling should ever take place in the
Artic National Wildlife Refuge and for
that matter in any other declared wil-
derness area in Alaska. Tell me what
you think. We need oil sure but i am
more inclined to think that why open
up the ANWR when there still are so
many other places left to drill for oil.

YOU MAKE MORE MONEY COLLECTING STAMPS THAN BEING A FAIR DINKUM FREELANCER IN AUSTRALIA

Well the new year beckons and i guess my thinking cap is on
as to what my own plans are for 2012. It was a big year for
me, i finally managed to sell up at Tamborine and recently
i purchased a property at Toogoolawah. Truly, it wouldn't
have mattered where just so long as it was a nice coun-
try town well away from Logan City. The one dilemma
i have with freelance writing, which is what i term the
material i write on this website, is mainly the time fac-
tor. I have not got time to write an epic every day of
the week, if i was getting paid somewhere along the
way for even a third of what i compose then there is
every chance i could make a healthy amount of sup-
plementary income from this business & as a con-
sequence i could keep dedicating the time i have
been all along to this website. I have to have a
life as well and now that i have relocated i do
intend to make it a lot more casual with what
i write and not just here and there for a bit of
a dare like i have. One of the biggest disap-
pointments i have had in 2011 has been the
relative failure of my second website LOST
TREASURES REVIEW to attain a consis-
tent audience, comments are always so
hard to come by for both of my websites
but the last 6 months has been complete-
ly dismal in that department. Lost Treas-
ures to me is an easier website to view
because i am writing about things which
more average people can relate to, even
if it's dedicated almost exclusively to ob-
scure music and entertainment. Badrick
Unadulterated is obviously more serious
and targeted at a news information seek-
ing audience, and even though it is my
number one website, i still do believe
Lost Treasures is where my motiva-
tion is heading. I think you may well
find that i might look at Badrick Un-
adulterated more as a pet subject
website more and more from now
on, instead of BU just being the
avenue for me proclaiming my
random spontaneous thoughts.

One thing that 2011 has taught me is that the fu-
ture of internet journalism is highly speculative
indeed, for all that i write i have not been able
to find one website/blog where i can contribute
to and earn what i would call token income like
$50 an article. I am not saying i am ants pants
and the best hotshot writer around but the fact
is if i cant earn some pocket money from being
a writer then no one possibly can, and i mean
no one. It would not be in my best interests
if i were to try and commercialise Badrick
Unadulterated, for the sake of maybe earn-
ing $30 a week at best from Adsence ad-
vertising courtesy of Google all it would
achieve besides earning me a pittance
is make my blog look tacky and busy.

My personal opinion has always been
i would be better off using Badrick Un-
adulterated as a forum for my personal
beliefs and hopefully in time convince
an internet journalist that i am worth
a small fee to write more serious &
politically related articles. To date
i am yet to find anyone in Australia
who fits that description. I can as-
sure you that being a freelancer in
Australia most of the time gets you
nowhere in the big picture, simply
because most australians couldn't
be bothered deciphering any infor-
mation they read or see before it
is interpreted by the mainstream
media and laid out for them as a
form of user end propoganda. It
is a terrible shame, but unless
you're a mainstream journalist
who sells their soul to work at
a big media company you cant
make it big and earn a sustain-
able income as a writer in the
former lucky country. I might
just have to settle for being a
good hearted philanthropist.

Talking about the year we have just lived through,
we had the Brisbane floods in January, not forget-
ting the devastating floods across all of regional
Queensland which corresponded to the same
period of time, there was Cyclone Yasi which
despite not creating as much destruction as
predicted still managed to level many parts of
Tully and Cardwell in north Queensland, as
well as many other localities nearby. Christ-
church in New Zealand was hit by a devas-
tating earthquake, since then there have
been smaller earthquakes and the place
wont stop shaking. Think it's time that the
residents of the city were relocated some-
where else and it was turned into one big
massive park. Sounds extreme but the city
is constructed on one of the worst fault lines
on the face of the earth so what are the oth-
er options? Japan was hammered by the
monster tsunami, which precipitated the
Fukushima nuclear catastrophe. It will
be very interesting to see if & when the
mainstream media in Australia doesn't
keep hiding from public view just how
rotten the situation still is in Japan
and the long term ramifications of
radioactive fallout in and around
Fukashima. Self annointed inform-
ation coppers like News Limited
editors David Fagan and Chris
Mitchell might be best advised
to take a crash course in com-
mon sense and social ettiquite
and make sure that the readers
of News Limited papers are fully
made aware of everything that
is occuring in Japan and most
especially around Fukashima.

2012 is likely to be a year where the world econ-
omy hits skid row as a result of the worsening
european currency crisis, domestic politics in
Australia and especially in Queensland where
a state election is due in March will result in
the mainstream media browbeating an ever
diminishing audience with a lot of propogan-
da in the next few months but i guess that's
what unpaid freelancers like me who cant
get $50 for their efforts are here for and
that is to offer an alternative view as to
what the mainstream media dishes up.
I can assure you all that even if i write
less or dedicate more time to my other
website writing about music and other
entertainment that this website wont
die, it's just going to change from

WIRELESS BROADBAND IS JUST FINE FROM MY END, YOU KNOW WHERE GILLARD CAN SHOVE HER NBN

The issue of the National Broadband Network rollout is
one which has eluded my attention of late, maybe i've
just conceded that the Gillard minority government is
going to waste billions of dollars of australian taxpay-
ers money regardless of any opposing views in the
mainstream and the independent media. Well there
is no maybe about it, federal Labor with assistance
from self confessed technology simples like Tony
Windsor, Rob Oakeshott and Andrew Wilkie, the
three `former` independent MP's who are prop-
ping up Gillard's illegitimate regime is going to
forge ahead with the most grandiose of NBN
options complete with millions of miles of
ADSL cable which can be subsituted by
all rights with the wireless NBN option,
the saving to taxpayers would be astro-
nomical. I am a complete & utter con-
vert to wireless broadband, because
presently i'm living between two diff-
rent addresses i really did not have
a choice - i had to ditch ADSL and
go wireless or otherwise there was
no way i could have a PC. To me
it's fantastic, occasionally i may
have a slight hiccup or tempora-
ry burnout if i happen to be on
facebook but as far as emails
or doing general searches on
the internet goes it is absolute-
ly light years in advance of an
ADSL or dial-up connection.
My argument has always &
will always be that the ma-
jority of people are able to
get a wireless reception,
and instead of over forty
billion an upgrade to the
wireless network will on-
ly cost a quarter of that
at the most. Gillard has
to be made fully account-
able for wasting billions
more than is needed just
to keep the unionists on-
side who will undoubted-
ly be the beneficaries of
the great cable rollout.

DO THE VIOLENT CRIME AND DO THE HARD TIME (IN A MAXIMUM SECURITY PRISON)

In the interests of my own personal safety and the wellbeing
of my family, i am going to keep the identity of the people
who influenced me to write this article a secret, they are
very evil and very dangerous people, i dont want to have
them get any mates of theirs, if they have any, to come
after me from the 'inside'. But in the form of a general
topic of conversation, i believe it's imperative that the
public is made aware of one person's transfer from a
maximum security prison to a prison hospital facility
and how in general this completely makes a mocke-
ry of our justice system in all but a few instances. In
this instance, it certainly is a clear threat to the safe-
ty of innocent people in the community. It wouldn't
be advisable for me to even mention the location
where this man and two accomplices did brutally
murder three innocent young men, because that
would be naming them. I rattle enough cages on
this website already without going to that extreme.

Serious violent offenders in general, and not just
this evil murderer are supposed to have to serve
at least 80% of their jail term before being able
to apply for parole, there is nothing in our legal
system (in Queensland) which facilitates an
interpretation of predecence in law allowing
any judge or barrister to 'sideline' accepted
legal judgement to allow someone to serve
part of their sentence in an alternative facili-
ty other than jail in the nominal non-parole
period of a prisoner's sentence, one who
applies to be transferred from a real jail
to a mental institution / low security jail.
This is what has occured with this killer
who 'was' serving thirty years non-parole
in maximum security. His killing spree is
one of the most heinous and brutal that
anyone has ever committed in Australia,
the scene of the crime was so bad that
even the police who were forced to in-
vestigate the motive of the crime were
mentally distraught to breaking point.

Moral of the story is that all serious vio-
lent offenders MUST always serve at
least 80% of their jail sentence in the
type of facility which they are origi-
nally incarcerated in, regardless of
what any de-sensitised and dumb
judge wishes to rule on, it should
be made constitutionally impossi-
ble for any negligent judge to flick
pass and negate accepted princi-
ples of our Westminster justice
system to run roughshod over it
and take it upon themselves to
make a misguided decision to
allow serious violent offenders
to serve any part of their non-
parole custodial term in a fa-
cility such as a mental hospit-
al or prison farm which in so
many cases are not fit in any
way to house violent criminals.

TATTOO CAME WITH A NASTY HIV SURPRISE FOR ONE AUSTRALIAN TOURIST HOLIDAYING IN BALI

From my perpective, i just dont understand the fascination
and near pedantic addiction many australians now have
with getting tattoos or planning to get tattoos. It's like an
obsession for the greater majority who already have one.
I would not say that a well placed and dainty tattoo which
someone gets for sentimental or cultural reasons is a bad
thing but most of the young adults who are getting tattoos
nowadays are doing it purely to be cool, to keep up with
the Jones`, even though two-thirds of the time they eith-
look damn bloody ugly or they simply do not suit the skin
complexion or physiology of the person who has it. The
risk of aquiring HIV, Hepatitis A or Hepatitis B as a re-
sult of getting a tattoo in Australia is widely consider-
ed to be remote, each state has marginally diffrent
laws governing the procedures that tattoo artists
use to tattoo some jackass, but considering the
sweatshop and shanty conditions which some
tattoo parlours operate in, i definitely would be
very wary of what disease i could catch if i put
myself in the position of letting somebody who
i hardly even knew fool around with me and my
body. A Western Australian man holidaying in
Bali contracted HIV after getting a tattoo over
there, while anybody who has got tattoos in
Australia shouldn't hit the panic button yet,
there does need to be a lot more scrutiny
of the whole tattoo industry in this country
to make sure that people who choose to
get a tattoo aren't put at risk of getting a
disease. One way to help such a cause
would be if every state had uniform laws
in place to regulate tattoo artists. Pres-
ently as an example it isn't recommen-
ded that you get a tattoo in New South
Wales under any circumstances due
to a lack of restrictions there. Despite
my dislike of anything more than some-
one having the bare minimum in tattoos

Considering not even a million soldiers in the Soviet army
could defeat the resilient and elusive Afgani's in the war
which ended back in the Reagan era, what hope really
does an army of Australian, British and US troops in
the mere thousands have of doing what the Soviets
couldn't do thirty years ago. Especially considering
that the Taliban was not around back in the era of
Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, or at least was
not operational in those days. There is so much
speculation swirling around the independent me-
dia as to the real agenda behind Obama's undy-
ing commitment, as well as the commitment
for the war from Gillard and the British gov-
ernment, to keep going the distance over in
Afghanistan even though allied troops keep
getting killed by roadbombs, rogue Afgani
nationals and in the general line of duty,
mainly as a result of under-estimating
the military prowess of the Taliban and
being a victim of poor intelligence from
their own army. But why are all the big
western powers so hellbent on fighting
a war in Afghanistan? Could it have to
do with the fact that 'deep' within the
central asia region, in countries like
Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Kryg-
yzstan, there are possibly massive
mineral reserves which the US is
desperate to have some financial
interest in no matter what, but be-
cause these Turkic republics are
completely landlocked, to export
the minerals out of them would
require them to be transported
via railway to the nearest port
on the Indian Ocean coastline.

The southern coast of Iran is a good option, but
in light of the fact of how anti-west the current
dictatorship in Iran is, the only other logistical-
ly sound option would be to use Afghanistan
and Pakistan as the rail link between inner
Asia and the Indian Ocean coastline. So
the big question remains, are australian,
american and British soldiers getting
killed in vain purely because the US
with full UN support is attempting
to garnish strategic control of
Afghanistan to have control
over these minerals before
Iran and Russia have the
oppurtunity to do likewise?

GEERT WILDERS THE DUTCH POLITICIAN SHOWED SOME DUTCH COURAGE TO RID EUROPE OF RADICAL ISLAM

A certain dutch politician by the name of Geert Wilders was a
very game man to say the least. He must have liked having
islamic gangs in Europe coming after him after his speech
at Four Seasons New York in 2008 on the issue of the isla-
misation of Europe. If i was thinking this was just another
right wing rant like you would expect from many soapbox
ultra-conservatives across Europe, chances are that i
would not be going out on a limb to endorse anything
which this orthodox right wing dutchman made about
how radical Islam is taking over Europe like a form
of communist social cancer. But i dont think so &
it is obvious that european culture in its essence
is under attack from the stifling authoritarianism
of Sharia law and the manner in which Islam is
being forced upon others of christian or various
other faiths. Many european cities nowadays are
very well populated by muslims, so much so that
it is becoming a frightening proposition given the
complete lack of tolerance which the hardcore
muslims display towards alternative lifestyles
& people who are not muslim. Homosexuals
in Amsterdam are being beaten up by thugs
who identify as being muslim, so incredible
considering how liberal Dutch society has
always been, to a point where it's becom-
ing an epidemic, whole neighbourhoods
on the outskirts of many european cities
are being overtaking by a smothering and
culturally imbalanced muslim invasion on
a grand scale. Wilders' speech also goes
on to speculate that the most elemental
of all expressions, such as mentioning a
farm at elementary schools is nowadays
taboo because mentioning a pig is like
blasphemy in the eyes of all muslims.
French school teachers are being ad-
vised to avoid teaching students any-
thing written by authors like Darwin
and Voltaire, should they ever dare
to offend an easily offended brain-
washed muslim, Wilders also said
that the study of the Holocaust has
also become out of bounds in eu-
ropean schools for the same rea-
son of islamic intolerance & over
sensitivity to alternative points of
view and other belief systems.

There is too much to itemise from this speech, but
one point which must not be lost is that every gov-
ernment that's currently in power in Europe must
do something to stop radical Islam becoming the
ultimate social curse. Wilders erred in his speech
when he went about muddying the connection be-
tween radical Islam and the situation in Palestine,
he forgot to even mention Hamas or Hezbollah
who are the real villians and not most ordinary
everyday Palestinians, but apart from this un-
helpful and inaccurate generalisation about
Palestinians, who are mostly christian any-
way, and his tangent about Mohammed
being a mass murderer, a paedophile
and the one responsible for the wiping
out the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza,
which true or false will only serve to
throw petrol on the furnace which is
about to explode across mainland
Europe between radical muslims
and the rest of the population, his
speech was right on the money
and it should become a water-
shed for creating government
policies right across Europe
as to what action is required
to deal with the problem of
radical islam taking over the
world, its culture and all of
our democratic institutions.

ANOTHER BAHRS SCRUB DUMMY SPIT, ONLY THIS TIME IT'S NOT THE GREENIES KICKING UP A STINK

I say another 'dummy spit' at Bahrs Scrub, which for all you
unlearned of Logan City folks is a convoluted acreage urban
locality situated 5 minutes out of Beenleigh heading south-
wards towards Tamborine Village, my old hunting ground.
Not that my first and only encounter at Bahrs Scrub was
a dummy spit on anyone's part. In fact the meeting that
i attended at someone's home was most civilised and
polite, as well as being very poorly attended. To do the
right thing by someone's privacy, i wont say where the
meeting took place, but David Keogh, a reasonably well
known enviromentalist activist living somewhere around
Cornubia in Logan City, was present along with others
who i honestly cant remember anymore. The meeting
would have had to be at least three years ago, may-
be two and a half. Around that time, the group was
all about saving bushland between Bahrs Scrub
and Buccan, which is the other side of the range.
Some of it needed saving forsure, other bits are
most obviously degragated to the point of being
unfit to become part of an enviromental reserve
or national park. Their whole momentum got lost
due to the apathy and sloppyness of journalists
working at the Albert and Logan News - Judith
Maizey and Koren Helbig do spring to mind to
be perfectly honest and this group's complete
unpreparedness to deal with any sort of cross
examination by the media when it come to out-
lining which areas specifically they proposed
should be part of wildlife corridors and what
areas they deemed to be expendible for an
inevitable Stockland sub-division at Bahrs
Scrub. Of the whole Bahrs Scrub greenie
brigade, if you want to call them such, the
only two people who i trust to this day as
being true enviromentalists who haven't
got any partisan political agenda is Anne
Page & Kathy Faldt from the enviromen-
tal group LACA. The rest of them, inclu-
ding the here above mentioned journos,
i do not trust them further than i could
kick them. Fast forward this situation
three years and now we have the total
opposite happening in Bahrs Scrub, a
mostly retiree age lobby has started
in Bahrs Scrub which are opposed to
the Logan City Council's draft propo-
sal for wildlife corridors in the area,
which as was exposed last week in
the Albert & Logan News are going
to disect straight through properties
which are already occupied by the
people who are protesting against
them. Personally, without not hav-
ing seen the maps myself, you'd
have to be mighty suspicious con-
sidering that the developer for the
development STOCKLANDS is fi-
nancially assisting the major cost
of creating the eco-plan that was
overseen and produced by coun-
cil officers at the LCC. I do know
the area well enough to realise
that the areas that do need to
be protected and placed off
limits to development would
be, as the present day pro-
testers are arguing, water-
ways and not main roads.
If i were going to be really
honest, i could guarentee
you that Stocklands wants
private properties to share
the burden of absorbing a
lot of the wildlife corridors
to permit development to
to occur in certain areas
down lower which have
much greater ecological
significance in the area.

GREENBANK BUSHLAND AND CREWE CREEK AT THE MERCY OF VEGE FARMS AND LOGAN CITY COUNCIL

There are only two things in life that are certain, and
they are death and taxes. That saying especially ap-
plies in Logan City, where the truth often is mired
within an ambiguous mindfield of willful misrepre-
sentation on the part of the Logan City Council &
misunderstanding on the part of residents who
often are treated as mushrooms when it comes
to council rubber stamping developments which
appear to be either controversial or illegal. There
is a new group of sorts which has become active
around Greenbank, they're known as Safe Living
Action Group, the only reason i become aware
of their existance is because they asked me to
join their facebook page, which i obliged to do.

I guess i can see quite a similarity between
what this group stands for and what my very
own community lobby BREAKA, which was
an acronym for Beaudesert Region Enviro-
mental Awareness and Knowledge Advo-
cacy was intended to stand for as well.
It's the closest to BREAKA in ideologi-
cal terms that i have ever witnessed
to this day in Logan City, hence it is
my personal wish to give this group
a sound hearing. Safe Living Action
Group is not exactly making tonnes
of friends in the vicinity of you know
whom, 'that councillor', in relation to
what seems to be an indiscriminate
and grossly illegal act of destroying
a lot of bush to make way for what
they claim is going to be a vegeta-
ble farm somewhere around the
Greenbank area, furthermore it
has been claimed by the group
that this particular development
is being permitted to take place
in clear defiance of the council
conditions relating to a permit
which the development was
subject to when it was given.

The bushland clearing has occured within
what is actually the creekbed of Crewe
Creek, that is a waterway feeding into
Upper Oxley Creek. I have witnessed
photographs which prove it to be the
case. Anywhere around the state ac-
cording to state government regula-
tions such an activity does certainly
appear to be a clear breach of local
government ordinances protecting
major creeks, rivers & dams from
any form of contamination as a re-
sult of soil erosion and industrial
run-off. It's about time that some
pollies & officers at Logan City
Council come clean as to why
this development to create a
vegetable farm in a bushland
setting, in such close proxim-
ity to neighbouring property
where use of insecticides
and the resultant contami-
nation of drink tank water
which will most probaly be
unavoidable, was given the
green light in the beginning.

KIM JONG-UN TAKES CHARGE OF NORTH KOREA WHILE DEMOCRATIC REFORM IN CHINA REMAINS A FANTASY

The death in the last few days of North Korean dicta-
tor Kim Jong-iL, who had continued the iron fisted
rule from 1994 which his communist father Kim ll-
sung had wrought upon the country from the very
beginning when the Democratic People's Repub-
lic of Korea was established in 1948, is kind of
a blessing and a curse for both North Korea &
the two democratic countries that have always
feared what the erratic & very unpredictable
dictator of North Korea would try to do next -
South Korea and Japan. Australian Foreign
Minister Kevin Rudd was quick to show his
face on the TV tonight lambasting the dead
stalinist leader & the extremely dangerous
regime left behind, almost certainly to now
be under the domineering control of Kim
Jong Un, his repressively authoritarian
son who is considered to be a worse
proposition to have to deal with. Lets
say that i might believe Rudd is in-
volved in some bi-lateral brokering
& diplomacy for the right reasons
if he puts some energy as well in-
to forcing China to comply with a
few long overdue reforms to their
political system as well as that in
North Korea. To condemn the re-
gime of this tiny and nondescript
nation at the top of the Korean
peninsula while allowing China
to keep ignoring its obligations
to the world community on rec-
ognising human rights & allow-
ing some degree of democracy
to exist there is a great example
of pot calling the kettle black.

NEW AZARIA CHAMBERLAIN CORONIAL INQUIRY WILL LIKELY ACHIEVE NOTHING EXCEPT REHASH THE PAST

There comes a time when the best thing to do is to leave
sleeping dogs lie and put an issue to rest, especially so
when it comes to the unsolved disappearance of Azaria
Chamberlain around Ayers Rock on 17th August, 1980.
It was just announced today that there is going to be
yet another coronial inquiry into the puzzling circum-
stances surrounding her disappearance, the reason
was given that new technology which wasn't availa-
ble 30 years ago to test Azaria's clothing that was
alledgedly bloodied and torn after a dingo attacked
and killed her is there now to shed some new light
on the tragedy which previously hasn't been possi-
ble. What is a new inquiry going to achieve other
than to re-hash a lot of hypothetical maybes and
possibilities about the tragic scenario which was
responsible for claiming the young babies life on
that tragic day and bring back a lot of really bad
memories for both Lindy Creighton (nee Cham-
berlain) and Michael Chamberlain, her so battle
weary parents who have long sinced seperated.

The one obvious fact which seems to have al-
ways been ignored for the past thirty years is
that at least some of the damage made obvi-
ous on Azaria's clothing did appear to be a
'clean cut' and not an 'irregular tear' which
could not possibly have been inflicted by
a dingo. Dingoes instinctively thrash out
from side to side when they are trying to
devour their prey, they are dogs afterall.
Some of Azaria's clothing did appear to
have been cut or sliced in an obviously
pre-meditated manner. Dingoes go by
instinct, and if a dingo was responsible
for killing Azaria then the scene of the
tragedy certainly never fitted the mould
of how a dingo normally instinctively be-
haves. As well as this puzzling inconsis-
tency which no coronial investigation in-
to Azaria's fate has ever proven beyond
a doubt one way or the other since the
first one took place, there were traces
of human blood evident somewhere in
the Chamberlain's car (presumably that
of Azaria`s) which was the circumstan-
tial evidence which largely constructed
a prosecutor's case against Lindy that
originally resulted in her being sent to
prison from 1982 to 1986. Lindy's de-
fence always was that in her state of
panic after the alledged dingo attack
she hid Azaria's body not knowing
what she should do in her delirium.

As well as that perplexing and confront-
ing hypothetical situation, one other hy-
pothetical which was never examined
properly to determine if there was a
case to answer for is the question
of one of the Chamberlain's other
children who according to Lindy's
own testimony around the time of
Azaria's disappearance had some
degree of an unhealthy fascination
with sharp man made objects and
i will not say anymore than that in
case there is any risk of having
me interfering with this brand
new inquiry starting in 2012.
Whatever did happen to baby
Azaria, Lindy, Michael and the
whole family have copped over
thirty years of mental anguish,
they have suffered enough that
is forsure. The time has come
to now let Azaria rest in peace.

the national team selectors to rid the dressing room
of mediocricy and players on a million a year in the
comfort zone? Everyone is wondering why Ricky
Ponting does not give up and retire, considering
these days he is averaging around 10 runs a hit-
out if he is lucky and his better days are obvious-
ly a long way behind him. Would you be in any
major hurry to retire from cricket if you were in
Ponting's shoes and you were earning around
a million and a half a year to be an out of form
batsman who wasn't under any real pressure
to call it stumps? There are many players in
the australian cricket team who should not
be there anymore but who hold a Cricket
Australia contract which is not only very
grossly excessive in terms of its value
but is stymying many oppurtunities for
up and coming cricketers in the state
teams to have an oppurtunity to make
the national side. Ponting has to go,

MARTIN KING HOT ON THE TRAIL OF THE KIDS OUTDOORS DUO WHO HAVE DONE A RUNNER OUT OF MELBOURNE

Channel 9 A Current Affair reporter Martin King may be a
bit of a lair who is more bluff than genuine biffo when he
is out and about chasing fraudsters & crooks, but i have
to say tonight i did admire King for the emotive manner
in which he went after two evil crooks who run what's
turned out to be a bogus kids playground equipment
company. I didn't get their names, but the company
in question is KIDS OUTDOORS, and it would ap-
pear the empty warehouse which featured on the
show is based in Pakenham, Melbourne. As you'd
expect, he turned up on one of the dog's doorstep
to put him on the spot over this heartless & gross
example of deception that the veteran reporter ex-
posed, KIDS OUTDOORS recieved over a grand
from many trusting and good hearted parents for
christmas cubby houses for their children, only
to be left high and dry and with no cubby house
only a week or so out from christmas day. Talk
about the Grinch stealing christmas away from
Santa Claus like one visibly upset woman sug-
gested it felt like by being ripped off in this way.

The son of a bitch wasn't home by the way when
Mr. King come knocking, either that or he was
hiding out somewhere in his house. Chances
are by now him and his fellow scumbag are
no where to be seen around Melbourne af-
ter this report on KID OUTDOORS went
to air. There was a happy ending to this
story, another cubby house manufactur-
er become a good samaritan & at least
the people featured on A Current Affair
will have a cubby house afterall thanks
only to the compassion and goodwill
of this other company. But it doesn't
alter the fact that two wanton crooks
are still at large in the community &
still in a position to rip many other
people off under a diffrent name,
and still in a position to decieve
other people in the future with a
similiar or identical form of un-
ethical trading. Whoever they
are, these bastards who were
almost the reason for wrecking
christmas for so many families
in Melbourne need to be round-
ed up, banned from ever being
able to run a company or bus-
iness forever more, and i dare
say, the evidence would seem
to be against them in so much
being charged with a criminal
offence and doing time behind
bars for what they have done.

MACKAY POLICE OFFICERS AMONG MANY OTHERS IN THE QUEENSLAND PUBLIC SERVICE TARGETED BY BIG COAL

The latest installment in the impact that coal mining and
fracking in Queensland is having on the social end of the
spectrum was exposed last night on the TV, Channel 10
happened to be the bulletin i was watching and it was re-
ported that a coal mine executive employed by a mining
company that is active around the Bowen Basin region
walked into a Mackay police station and offered every
copper in the station a job in the coal mining industry
paying in excess of 100K a year. At least four of the
police officers accepted the offer on the spot, while
the other ones who didn't accept the offer there and
then are said to be considering it seriously. On top
of the Mackay police station raid, the report also
highlighted the fact that this happening is by no
means a one-off incident, coal companies are
increasingly making a habit of targeting those
working in the public service and particularly
in the essential services bracket, like police
& SES emergency workers. While there is
totally nothing illegal about poaching peo-
ple in this manner from the police service
with the lure of better money and a better
life, the mining companies have an ethical
and moral responsibility to make sure that
the communities which coal mining facili-
tates are not found wanting when it does
come to having a sustainable & effective
police force that can maintain public law
and order properly now & always. Doing
what this cashed up coal mining execu-
tive has done in Mackay is setting a very
dangerous precedent which has already
opened a massive can of pay worms in
the Queensland public service across
regional areas, the state government
does have a duty of care to maintain
police numbers & prevent an exodus
of them who are lured by the tempta-
tion of a short term bonanza work-
ing in the coal mines. You cannot
exactly blame North Queensland
police officers for being tempted
to make the big transition to be-
ing a coal worker with that sort
of money on offer, i guess those
who decide to stay on as police
officers are putting the public
before their own self interest.

CENTRELINK RED TAPE AND MYOPIC MEANS TESTING MAKES NEWSTART PART PAYMENTS A WASTE OF TIME

Because i am and have been for many months in the process
of relocating from Logan City to an alternative locality, which
just so happened to end up being Toogoolawah up in the
Brisbane Valley, i naturally was a bit hesitant to go like
a bull at a gate trying to aquire alternative employment
to that which i already had until i knew where exactly
i ended up being & what my employment prospects
would be near my new home. I believe that makes
perfect sense, if it doesn't then maybe you are as
stupid as a lot of bureaucrats at Centrelink. More
on that in a moment. As we all are aware, at the
moment across Australia, employment is really
hard to come by, at least decent jobs offering a
reasonable amount of hours & job security. At
the moment, i am getting enough work to live,
but only just, and to be perfectly honest i am
scraping the financial barrel too much for my
own good. Because my hours were recently
so slightly reduced, i become entitled to re-
cieve a pittance from Centrelink in the form
of NEWSTART ALLOWANCE, a payment
that's really designed for job seekers who
are completely or almost unemployed.

While i admit that i was trying to milk the sys-
tem a bit (but in a totally ethical & legal way)
to prop up my lacklustre wage, i still believe
it's totally ridiculous that someone who is in
line to get a paltry $21 a week from Newstart
Allowance payments gets means tested and
treated like someone claiming the maximum
amount payable and who is completely unem-
ployed. The deal is with Newstart Allowance
is you are required to look for ten jobs a fort-
night, join up at a job network company like
Mission and the Salvation Army & agree to
undertake Work For the Dole and other ac-
tivities to obtain permanent payed work if
you are recieving benefits for any length
of time. Which is fair enough, but to me
it is ludicrous and discriminatory that
the set requirements to be eligible to
recieve Centrelink payments aren't re-
lative & proportional to the amount of
benefit you claim and are in line to re-
ceive from Centrelink. If i am eligible
to receive $21 per week, then in the
early stages at least i think i should
only have to look for two jobs a fort-
night instead of ten and it should not
be a requirement for smaller auxilary
Centrelink payments that a recipient
be forced to fartbum around with job
network companies. Honestly, i gave
up and i said to myself what really is
the point, recieve $21 weekly only to
spend $50 or more driving around
the countryside looking for imagi-
nary jobs & standing in the unem-
ployment queues for two hours.

The one reason i wanted to write something about this conspir-
acy theory is that i think the time has come for the facts to be
seperated from the fiction, in light of all the information / ru-
mours that indicate or suggest that the Obama adminis-
tration has just passed laws which will permit ordinary
american citizens to be locked up in specially construc-
ted civilian concentration camps. Considering that the
US house of representatives (Congress) is presently
controlled by a republican majority, the opposition to
Obama's Democrats, it seems implausible that the
right wing anti-socialist senators, the kingpins that
control the Republican Party would allow the num-
bers to fall Obama's way to enact such draconian
legislation. As i did indicate, i believe there is a lot
of fiction muddling up the facts and creating some
degree of mispresentation over this issue, but the
fact is pictures never lie, and there are a heap of
empty buildings resembling remand facilities in
the US right now, empty but totally surrounded
by barbed wire, which obviously have been built
for a purpose. And then there is the issue of the
secret Mount Weather in Virginia that was only
intended to being operational in Cold War times
if america was under the grip of a nuclear holo-
caust. It is effectively a self contained city out
in the middle of no where, manicured lawns,
enough storage to keep heaps of people fed
& watered for months without any connection
to the outside world and the ultimate compu-
ter central location where every single com-
munication made by americans on the in-
ternet is recorded, when no one suspects

Twenty years from now, if God permits me to still be around
then, i might end up with egg on my face and be proven very
wrong by my personal beliefs on uranium & coal seam gas.
Like asbestos, my belief is that these two minerals were

australian uranium as a result of a policy rever-
sal from the australian government, despite
the fact the country hasn't signed off on the
nuclear non-proliferation treaty, which even
China has done. Despite that troubling fact,
if the Indian government is prepared to al-
low inpections of its nuclear power plants
in the future by australian inspectors then
it's most probaly okay for some austra-
lian uranium to be fueling such facilities.
But, and a big BUT, what uranium gets
sent to India should be at the lower end
of the scale, not the higher end of town.
Like australia's burgeoning and reckless
coal seam gas industry, uranium cannot
be allowed to become an excuse for bla-
se deficit reducing big end of town govern-
ment sponsored capitalism with no checks
and balances in place to acknowledge that
these two minerals are highly dangerous
to the enviroment when things go wrong.
Look at Fukashima people, look at how
Chernobyl in Ukraine remains to this
day, and look at what fracking has
already done to vast areas of the
United States and a host of other
countries. I dont think i'll be the
one looking dumb to be honest.

AFTER HOURS RAM RAIDERS HAVE THEIR SIGHTS SET ON THE BP ROCHEDALE ATM

Around the area where my family lives in Rochedale, which is
a suburb on the southside of Brisbane for all those who are
from out of town, there is a BP service station which has
been at the recieving end three times lately of some ex-
tremely desperate attempts to rob the joint after hours.
The service station is open from 5am to 9pm, because
i deliver newspapers there on some mornings i saw for
myself on two of the three occasions what had occured.

Obviously, robbers are getting more desperate and in-
novative in how they plan to gain access to premises,
from what i can gather, on their first attempt around
three weeks ago, the would be thieves successful-
ly attempted to barge their way into the service sta-
tion by ramming an industrial bin hard up against
the front glass doors, but for all their trouble they
only succeeded that time in getting away with a
few cigarettes and packaged food. The next at-
tempted robbery, remembering i'm not sure if
they are related incidences involving the same
people, though you would imagine they would
be, the same sort of tactics were applied by
the villians, although i did not see the dam-
age left behind on that particular occasion.

I heard about it happened as second hand info.
However, the second attempted heist definite-
ly took place by car ram raiding robbers. The
third attempted ram raid, which in a similiar
fashion involved the thieves driving into the
front glass doors to aquire unauthorised ac-
cess, was more extreme in that they didn't
use an industrial bin or other object to stop
their car getting damaged, they just drove
straight into the shop holus bolus, then at-
tempted to pull an in-shop ATM out of the
floor with a rope & by all reports the rope
must have snapped and once again they
missed out completely on getting the big
money. There is one thing i want to say
to the robbers if they do happen to ever
read this - BACK OFF! GET A LIFE!
and if you are that desperate for food
or money then go and get some help
from a charity. If your robbery quest
is neccesary to get money to pay for
a drug addiction, then check yourself
into an addiction clinic and get right
off the weed and powder. Just leave
the innocent and decent business-
owners who run this BP service
station alone. You will be caught!

IPSWICH ROAD OF YESTERYEAR BECOMING THE IPSWICH SUPER HIGHWAY AT A SNAIL'S PACE

The thought crossed my mind to write about an Ipswich issue,
just down the road from my new home town of Toogoolawah.
Thank goodness though Toogoolawah falls within Somerset
Regional Council and not the Ipswich City Council, honest-
ly i would have never ever have bought a house there had
it been in Ipswich. Logan City's chronic apathy was nearly
enough to make me depressed and lonely, imagine what
Ipswich is like over that matter. Apathy is worse again in
Ipswich than Logan, really demoralising STUFF. It would
not have mattered where i ended up, whether it was Mur-
willumbah, Kooralbyn, Laidley, Esk or Toogoolawah as
to where i shifted to, i had previously made a decision
that i would never write about the town and the council
jurisdiction i was living in, so Toogoolawah as well as
the entire Somerset Regional Council area can rest
easy, i will never write anything about it for the rest
of my life. If i think some crap is going down in this
area which should be addressed then i will privately
take the matter up with Somerset Regional Council
if i have to, or a local state or federal member, but
i wont be writing about anything. I have made a lot
of enemies with a lot of bad journos in my time, we
all need a home, and we all need neutral territory
to put our feet up at night and just be ourselves.

Okay, enough of an introduction, the one issue around
Ipswich which has proven to be a procrastinators para-
dise is the protracted upgrade to the Ipswich Motorway
between Goodna and Riverview. I am not quite sure if
Labor's Paul Tully, an outspoken Ipswich councillor,
the trade unions, certain other politicians or bureau-
crats are behind the shocking delays, as a means
of extracting more time for the project so that an
army of trademen working on the project contin-
ue to vote Labor or keep patronising the unions,
but you could suspect something mighty sus-
picious is going on about using up the budget
for the project even if it could be completed
before the later 2012 deadline. It is getting
to the point of being ludicrous, back in Joh
Bjelke-Petersen's time, if there was a road
that had to be built and built quickly, there
was no bullcrap, it was completed quickly
but still to a high standard, and Joh was
only a peanut farmer. Now, after twenty
years of Labor government rule, all the
Labor unionists have taken control over
the planning for projects like the Ipswich
Motorway at state government level, in-
stead of trying to have some money left
over at the completion of such a highly
budgeted project, the name of the game
now is to vacuum up every solitary dollar
while excavator operators, backhoe ope-
rators and truck drivers pick their back-
side for many more months than what's
really needed, while many thousands of
commuters get caught up daily in their
pickle during peak hour traffic. There
is no resolve to complete the Ipswich
Motorway upgrade in a hurry, certain-
ly the spotlight needs to be shone di-
rectly on the bureaucrats responsible
for overseeing the project as well as
any Ipswich area politician who may
be deriving some fringe benefit kick-
backs from the unions who are rep-
resenting workers who are working
on the Ipswich Motorway upgrade.
Considering it's being co-funded
by the Commonwealth it is very
obvious there has been an in-
tentional go-slow policy from
the very beginning to present.

FLINDERS PEAK TO KARAWATHA CONSERVATION PLAN MUST BE SET IN STONE FOR ALL TIMES SAKE

Pardon me for not knowing the exact name, that is how long
it has been since i made a habit of keeping newspapers or
being invited to conservation forums in & around Logan,
but it seems the FLINDERS PEAK TO KARAWATHA
CONSERVATION STUDY, which was mothballed by
the Labor Party in Queensland to help save the state
budget a few years ago, has been resurrected just in
time by Bligh and her half decent enviromental mini-
ster to help save Labor from an almost unprevent-
able schlacking at the next state poll. Without going
into politics unneccesarily, its amazing how all the
left wingers in the Labor Party come up with things
like gay marriage private member bills and revisit-
ing mothballed initiatives like saving much of the
bushland between Flinders Peak and Karawatha
as a means of jagging Green browny points and
getting in sweet with minority groups. But poli-
tics put aside, the fact is that for wildlife to be
able to survive in the Flinders Peak to Green-
bank corridor, if you want to call it that, then
bushland has to be preserved now, not ten
years from now and no future re-zoning can
ever be permitted once it has been gazetted
within a conservation area. I know from way
back that one of the main reasons why Bris-
bane LNP councillor Angela Owen - Taylor
won the new Parkinson ward at the previ-
ous council poll was because of her oppo-
sition to the mass destruction of bushland
at Johnson Road, Parkinson, on the oppo-
site corner to the Browns Plains shopping
Centre, which was big rubber stamped
by the previous Labor councillor with a
reckless disregard for the Karawatha
Forest. Labor's belated recognition
of the Flinders Peak to Karawatha
conservation investigation must
be applauded, even if it is three
years too late and only a typical
tacky Labor way of getting some
preferences. It is now up to the
likes of Campbell Newman and
the LNP to make a commitment
to honouring the present resolve
to protect bushland within Logan
City and Scenic Rim, and making
sure that a future LNP government
prevents the Brisbane City, Logan
City & Scenic Rim councils from
ever permitting it to be recklessly
destroyed for commercial gain.

RUSSIA HAS THE EDGE IN THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION RACE AS NASA GOES INTO BURNOUT MODE

The dream is no longer about flying to the stars but
about stocking up the international space station or
fixing a broken satelite a mere 300 kilometres above
the earth's surface. Only in recent times have there
been any suggestions of going back to the moon or
sending man to Mars for the first time. Big problem
is NASA is bankrupt, the US administration has of
course blown trillions of dollars on overseas wars
over the past decade, Russia to date hasn't tried
or wasn't capable of going beyond the surface
of the moon anyway, quite content to settle for
mediocrity and regarding satelites and the in-
ternational space station as reaching for the
stars. While i not a believer as such in the
quest for extraterrestrial life which lets be
honest now is the basis for the majority of
idealism to extend manned cosmic travel
beyond the moon, i believe NASA for one
has got to re-affirm its capabilities to be
able to plan for a manned mission to the
moon and possibly Mars, before the noto-
rious secretive russians get a monopoly
over the infrastructure and technology
of all forms of space travel. Any situa-
tion where Russia or China gains con-
trol over all satelite infrastructure and
the international space station is the
ultimate insult to western capitalism
& NASA, which continues to splutter
along on 2 cylinders with no money.

FEDERAL POLITICIANS WHO SUPPORT THE 20% ANNUAL PAY RISE DESERVE A VICE-REGAL ABOMINATION

The temptation tonight was there for me to write yet another
blog on coal seam gas, given the poor response from my
readers previously when i've covered that issue, my way
of thinking is that i should give coal seam gas a rest now
and just let the chips fall. Fall they certainly will and it wont
be me with the guilty conscience, that's all that i got to say.
Hundreds upon hundreds of Queenslanders who know that
i am dead against coal seam gas above a minimalist level
have had ages to make comments on this blog but have
chosen to turn the other cheek and let the Labor Party
and Liberal National Party draft up all manner of irre-
sponsible CSG policy as though they dont care less
about the legacy we are leaving future generations
as far as sustainable farming and saving the envi-
roment goes. So stuff it, i am going to break my
own rules and go political tonight, and place my
tuppence worth in on the federal pollie pay rise
fiasco. I am retired from primary political com-
mentary by my own choice, but this matter is
so prime & juicy that i cant help myself but to
absolutely hammer Julia Gillard and every sin-
gle other federal politician who is behind the
ridiculous & grandiose pay rises which are
about to be offloaded to federal MP`s. Can
you even begin to believe it, Gillard is com-
pletely in favour of getting a whopping 90K
payrise a year, even the swag of seatfilling
and nondescript backbenchers are in line to
get a pay increase of around $40000 a year.
Gillard, Swan and every politician (including
all those on the Liberal and National Party
side of the house) who's in favour of such
an inappropriate pay rise, given the failing
world economy situation and in considera-
tion of how millions of low income austra-
lians are battling away these days under
the poverty line unable to keep up with
the cost of living, deserves a swift kick
up the backside and a big upper cut to
knock come sense into them. Truly the
Governor-General Quentin Bryce must
sack the Gillard government as of now
and Tony Abbott should be given a few
orders not to ever embark on any such
pay rise campaign should he inherit the
prime ministership in the event whereby
G-G Quentin Bryce gives Gillard & her
government a vice-regal abomination.

KILLING OF BILL HAGGARD'S CHICKENS ELUDES TO A VERY SINISTER MOTIVE BEHIND ACTS OF ANIMAL CRUELTY

Writing about Logan issues is going to become just a little
more difficult to get my head around considering that i'll be
living quite an end away from now on, when i am not living
down in Brisbane for work related reasons for part of the
week. I'll be calling the Brisbane Valley home from now
on, and the whole dynamics of my lifestyle are about to
change completely, i am going from rural urban to town-
ship living, quite a radical departure for me considering
all the idealism i dreamed up about living the dream in
the great outdoors for so many years. But i will some-
times pay the odd visit to my old hunting ground and
i might even pick up a Jimboomba and Beaudesert
Times while i am there. That is what i did the other
day, and the front page article of the JT really is an
indication of how low some lowlifes can really go.
The story about Jimboomba resident Bill Haggard
and what some little scoundrel/s done to his chick-
ens, by ripping out their legs while they were still
alive and obviously killing them is a shocking case
of animal cruelty as Jimboomba Times journo Gen-
evieve Hayward very sensibly pointed out in her ar-
ticle. Using this incident as an example, the fact
is anyone who abuses animals is so much more
likely to wind up physically harming a person or
killing a human being. Such behaviour & warped
thought processes is indicative of a monumentally
bigger problem which goes far beyond kids being
kids and doing stupid things. The reasons why a
lot of people, and especially adolescents would
ever indulge in carrying out an act such as this
would very rarely simply be a case of boredom
or naive stupidity. Anyone who does something
like this is angry with the world, angry they are
who they are, and there is every chance sadly
that they're victims of domestic physical abuse
and/or sexual abuse in their own home when
no one else knows it's occuring. When acts
of animal cruelty are brought to life and the
perputrators are caught (that's if they are)
and brought to justice, we should never
discount the possibility that somebody
might have a reason to be an angry lit-
tle imbosile who likes torturing animals
to get their jollies. Regardless of their
age, they are sick people, they are a
menace to society, and they deserve
a big stint in jail for their actions. But
at the same time, lets never forget
a disease usually fuels a symptom.

JIHADIST LIBERAL-NATIONAL COUNCILLORS BEHAVING LIKE BRATS IN THE CORRIDORS OF BRISBANE CITY HALL

The behaviour of many councillors at the Brisbane City council
has descended to a level that's lower than a snake's shadow.
Most of the blame can be layed at the feet of a group of yob-
bo Liberal National Party alligned councillors, the ones who
hold power under the reigns of Lord Mayor Graham Quirk,
who are acting like jihadists and appear to have conveni-
ently forgotten that like all the democratic institutions that
are beholden by Westminster tradition City Hall is not an
excuse or a place to exercise any form of willful and in-
tentional anti-democratic behaviour. While Campbell
Newman was still Lord Mayor hostilities always were
brewing between the LNP councillors and the Labor
ones, to be fair to Can Do Campbell in his very first
term of mayoral office he had to contend with the
intentionally difficult Labor alligned deputy mayor
David Hinchcliffe and an uncompromising major-
ity Labor civic cabinet when the then Liberal Can
Do Campbell failed to gain control of the wards.

But after he won back the wards from Labor af-
ter scoring a second term as Lord Mayor, the
blame for the hostilities and anti-social beha-
viour around City Hall over the past three &
a half years should be directed a lot more in
the direction of Lord Mayor Graham and his
team rather than the Labor opposition. It is
fast getting to the stage where i think the
state government has to step in and pre-
vent the council from imploding because
of all the politicised in-fight brawls that
is occuring regularly these days. Ever
since the rebel LNP councillor Nicole
Johnson quit the party to become in-
dependent, there seems to have been
an agenda within the ruling LNP coun-
cillorship to snuff out free speech on a
number of occasions when this clearly
has been a breach of council protocol.
When it gets to the stage where police
are escorting elected members out of
a parliamentary institution 'cause they
have a heated argument with council-
lors from the opposing side the time
has come to sack the entire council
and start over again. Why wait un-
til March, let's just do it right now.

SHAYNE SUTTON AND HER BREAST MILK MADE TO FEEL UNWELCOME AT CITY HALL

ity i have already published this in some form on this
website. But i like the satirical edge of it so much
to this day that i decided to hit the repeat button.
I have made alterations to the original text of the
article, but the intent of it has not been altered.
Two years on, Campbell Newman is no longer
the Lord Mayor and it does seem that the dum-
my spits at the council, where police are often
being called in to remove councillors out of City
Hall when hostile sittings of council are occur-
ing, makes this controversy seem somewhat
tame by comparison. See my next article re-
garding the brats at Brisbane City Council.

The debate about Councillor Shayne Sutton being provided time
as a mother to breast feed her baby outside the council cham-
ber is an issue which can very easily be resolved. As Labor
leader, Cr. Sutton should make a submission before the full
council stating that when she's absent from the chamber to
breast feed and look after her new born, that automatically
the deputy Labor leader will relieve her of all responsibili-
ties in the chamber on behalf of the opposition. It doesn't
sound unreasonable or like rocket science to me. Lord
Mayor Campbell Newman and Deputy Mayor Graham
Quirk, despite being her opponents within City Hall, i
am sure are reasonable and socially adept enough
to know this is one issue that very much goes be-
yond politics. The Brisbane City Council executive
should rule that council mums who wish to breast
feed like Cr. Sutton does be provided a number of
of intervals in any one sitting of council to be able
to adequately look after their child. The same ruling
should apply to all Queensland councils, not just at
Brisbane City Council. A councillor or deputy mayor,
whatever applies, who holds the next highest degree
of seniority in rank, regardless of what their political
persuasians are, should be qualified enough in that
role to act in that person's capacity temporarily.

GLADSTONE HARBOUR SUFFERING BADLY AS THE BLIGH GOVERNMENT GOES INTO CSG DAMAGE CONTROL

Gladstone Harbour is paying a high price for Queensland`s
new economic and political fixation with CSG. Were it not
for coal seam gas there would have been no requirement
in the first place to dredge the harbour out to cater for the
export CSG terminal which will be sending the majority
of coal seam gas offshore to China. The argument that
CSG will be putting money back into australian commu-
nities doesn't hold much water considering that. Envi-
roment Department biro pilots are playing dumb, state
government scientists are qualifying that less fish are
displaying signs of disease than a few months back,
even though the professional fishermen from around
Gladstone, the people from the area who are hand-
ling fish every single day and obviously have first
hand knowledge of what is taking place there are
coming across more & more fish all the time in
recent weeks that are clearly showing signs of
being infected by the marine parasite which is
doing the damage around Gladstone Harbour.

Did it ever cross anyone's mind in government
circles or within the management of Gladstone
Ports Corporation before the dredging program
started that the seabed of Gladstone Harbour
would most probaly be riddled with poisonous
metallic compounds as a result of industrial
runoff entering it from neighbouring indus-
trial property over many years? Why didn't
the Bligh government obtain a thorough &
detailed report from an independent evalu-
ater to carry out an objective and political-
ly neutral investigation regarding the com-
position of sediments on the seafloor of
the harbour before any plans were made
to rip up a whopping 45 million cubic me-
tres of sludge which potentially contains
enough toxins to destroy the profession-
al fishing industry right up the Queens-
land coast, as well as having a devasta-
ting effect on the local turtle population.

POSTHUMOUS PENSION DISCRIMINATION TARGETS THE VERY PEOPLE WHO NEED TENDER LOVING CARE

On a more serious and newsworthy note, i heard a story via
the extended family grapevine last week which really proves
that Australia is definitely no longer 'the lucky country'. This
is actually aweful what i am about to tell you, a total insult
to the principle of giving people who paid taxes their whole
life through a fair go. My sister in law's mother's name is
Pearl, Pearl lost her husband Des to a brain tumour back
in July, like many other australian couples who recieve a
combined pension that must cover the cost of food, elec-
tricity, council rates, clothing, petroleum and many other
essentials of everyday living, Des & Pearl always lived
on the breadline with a couples pension. In the months
before Des passed away, he required months of pala-
tive care in a hospice, as well as at home after he was
initially diagnosed with a brain tumour, and it appears
the federal government is only too willing to hand out
the benefits to makeshift carers like Pearl who under-
standably are going to do anything they possibly can
to look after their spouse in circumstances like that.
Not because the government really cares, dont be
hoodwinked now, because as i come to realise it
costs the government a lot less to subsidise the
spousal carer than to have to pay for a terminally
ill person to be looked after by medically trained
personnel in a hospital or aged care facility. To
be perfectly honest, it is a cynical way of look-
ing at it but it is exactly how it happens to be.
But it gets worse, i am sure what i'm about to
say next is common as fat lazy bottoms of poli-
ticians leaving imprints on parliamentary seats.
Ever since Des passed away, the simple mathe-
matics of Pearl's pension is that she is now only
getting around $200 a week and not $400 a week
like she & Des got as a combined pension when
he was still alive. What's the federal government
attempting to make out here, that because one
person dies that the council rates get halved,
that electricity bills get halved straight down
the middle, that the widow or widower who's
left behind doesn't need to buy petrol or ser-
vice their vehicle? What is the story, i want
to know. Apart from a food & household es-
sential component of a combined pension, if
one person dies then as far as i'm concerned
the widow or widower should continue to re-
cieve the full combined couples pension as
a single person, less hypothetically some-
thing in the order of $80, which would be
a fair estimation of what one person re-
cieving the pension would have to have
to buy the absolute household necces-
ities of life. Gillard/Swan or whoever,
sort this calamity out, it is totally un-
acceptable & unreasonable to ever
expect any grown adult to live off
a $200 pension, and to treat those
who are suffering bereavement like
Pearl has in such a manner is just
fundamentally abhorrent. For pollies
to give themselves pay increases
while tens of thousands of aus-
tralians are forced to become
paupers like this is shocking.

WRONG SIDE OF FORTY BIRTHDAY BLUES COME AND GOT ME YET AGAIN

Another birthday roles around again, i am on the wrong side of
forty definitely now, hard to believe i have been around for a
total of 37 years, but i better start believing it because it is
my birthday tomorrow. The past few years have been an
interesting journey for me, it was only as recent as when i
was about 32 years old that i was a ambitionless no-hoper
who sat around most nights drinking far too much alchohol
and lacked any motivation to get a haircut & get a real job
like my mum would say (laugh). Well i dont know about
a real job but i have had plenty of haircuts over the past
few years and more importantly i got a dose of ambition
and got a life again and the biggest reason for that can
be put down to my internet writing and the now gravely
endangered newspaper letter writing career that's fast
becoming extinct. To this day i would not class myself
as being a protester, lobbyist, agitator or a journalist.
I am still a good hearted storyteller who likes to write
in a journalistic vein, sometimes not always. My let-
ter writer career started by accident really, it was
not a letter which got the ball rolling for me, but a
prickly advertisement in the Tamborine Times. It
went down like a lead balloon & only a dozen or
so turned up, the advertisement was promoting
a public meeting which i organised myself at the
Tamborine Memorial Hall at Tamborine Village to
propose a slight name change to the locality of
Tamborine to counteract a potential forced one
as the outcome of the council amalgamations in
Queensland. Long story, wont go there tonight,
but like my enviromental group BREAKA i have
to admit the meeting was a doozer. It was my
very first direct insight into the sort of commu-
nity apathy which would eventually make me
want to leave Logan City for good. Which in
recent times i have, it is official. In the be-
ginning i started this blog up to be totally
honest to prove a few points to my news-
agent boss who midway in 2008 started
acting like a power hungry jerk who never
got the over-reactionist bee out from un-
der his parental bonnet when me and his
teenage daughter began liking the other.
For the record she was not a minor, she
was just too young for me at that stage.
2008 was the year when i made about
$30000 for the Logan City Council, the
amount of hours i was doing with those
two jobs together at the same time was
the makings of burnout. By late 2008 it
was obvious i was getting screwed by
the council, and gradually being ostra-
cised by a pedantic newsagent boss
who was over-protective of his daugh-
ter, out of all the tension and frustra-
tion i was dealing with by that stage,
i basically said screw you all and on
the rebound slightly i went and start-
ed up Badrick Unadulterated random-
ly & without any planning beforehand.
And now, nearly three years later on,
here i do still remain, still having fun,
making enemies with some people
who dont like it that i do have the
capability to do this kind of stuff,
and being honest as well i have
also made friends in cyberspace,
mainly with individuals who are
openminded and respect what i
do and understand that i always
mean well with what i put on my
website. I no longer make plans
for the coming year and have
New Years resolutions that i
never would keep anyway, in-
stead i just take one day at
a time and hope for the best.

ARTIC ICE MELT IS VERY REAL BUT IS CARBON REALLY THE CULPRIT?

The carbon tax is the epitome of political science and that is
why real fair dinkum enviromental issues such as stemming
deforestation, addressing land degradation issues around
regional Australia, like adopting the political fortitude to be
able to make clean coal technology a reality, and promo-
ting people to utilise public transport by making it afforda-
able and accessible to people residing in the big cities,
has been clean forgotten about in the carbon tax quag-
mire of federal Labor government hat rabbits and par-
tisan propoganda. The inconsistencies of the Al Gore
theory on climate change would be enough to turn an
Al Einstein of science into a man of the cloak. Right

i will add to the polar ice melt argument is
that i feel it might have absolutely nothing
to do with excessive carbon omissions in
the atmosphere, more likely it has some-
thing do with excess methane in the at-
mosphere that has been steadily increa-
sing for decades due to a phenomenal in-
crease in meat agriculture in most wes-
tern countries across the world. Sadly,
the possibility of methane being a con-
tributor to climate change has always
been blatantly ignored by the Greens
and leftist pollies from the beginning.
The whole concept of finding a happy
medium for dealing with real forms
of climate change went right out the
window the moment the Kyoto Pro-
tocol bit the dust of political apathy
in the international community and
when all the bluff, half truths, exag-
gerations and hypocricy of Gore
and his movie were fully exposed.

UNARMED WOMEN AND CHILDREN WERE MISTAKEN FOR THE VIET CONG BY AN AUSTRALIAN ARMY BATTALION

Talking to family and friends in casual conversation is often
the best way to hear interesting stories about real people in
real life situations, the kind of things you would never hear
on the TV or radio or read in the newspaper. In fairness to
the media at large, in most cases stories of personal trag-
edy never see the light of day to an audience as such, be-
cause people in those situations normally bottle up their
bad thoughts and never tell anyone, except maybe their
immediate family & closest confidantes. The story i am
about to tell you about is very real and cuts deeply into
the bone of a man who has endured a lifetime of men-
tal anguish and torture because of the legacy of war.

Huck is his first name, i dont even know his surname,
but it does not really matter anyway if you or i dont
know that. Huck is a Vietnam war veteran, living in
or around Brisbane, he is in his very late 60`s and
not doing very well at all. Huck is a really tortured
soul, he has manic depression, severe anxiety,
mood swings & more than likely he also has a
degree of bi-polar disorder. Huck doesn't drink
alchohol, not 'cause he's a happy go-lucky tee
tottler who doesn't need a bit of the demon liq-
our to chill out here and there, but because he
is shit scared of dying, fearing his punishment
in the afterlife for his actions in the battlefield
of Vietnam going way back to the early 70`s.

You see, Huck is one of many dozens of soldiers
who fought up against the Viet Cong in the jungle
of Vietnam wearing the australian army uniform
who killed innocent, unarmed women and chil-
dren by shooting them when there was abso-
lutely no legitimate reason to do so, why this
was not regarded as a war crime act defies
any logic & objectivity. I cannot ascertain if
Huck was given orders to carry out this par-
ticular massacre by his army superiors, but
what i do know is that well over a dozen in-
nocent people were gunned down in mach-
ine gun fire, as they run madly for their lives.

Perhaps Huck and his unit were hamstrung
with dodgy intelligence on this particular day,
it happened nearly 40 years ago, and i was
not there, you were not there, maybe there
was fog or dust impeding their vision down
the barrels of their guns, maybe for some
crazy reason they did innocently mistake
a small gathering of peaceful Vietnamese
women and children for Viet Cong Guer-
rillas on the attack, but this very tragic
stuff-up, just like so many others that
have never been exposed and report-
ed on, proves why war is such a futile
exercise which wreaks misery on all
those who dispense it and all those
who are caught up in the crossfire.
Huck isn't a bad man, he has deep-
ly regreted his role in the massacre,
he has more than made up for his
wartime mistake by living out his
days in misery. It is a lesson to
everyone who believe war solves
problems. War makes a lot more.

MCCARTHY AND MORATORIUMS ARE NOT EXACTLY COAL SEAM GAS CATCHWORDS

Never in a million years would i slag an idea for an entire
article off the Courier Mail these days. But i have to be
honest, i'm using a short and conspicuously contrived
story by journalist John McCarthy to start this one. The
fella may as well work for a coal seam gas company,
or be employed as Newman's or Bligh's press secre-
tary on the issue. McCarthy is starting to treat people
like me very seriously, sensible, level headed and con-
servative freelancers who are dead opposed to allow-
ing coal gas to expand across eastern australia with-
out being curtailed and heavily restricted. Coming to
think of it, being opposed to CSG does not make me
a Greens supporter or a left wing reactionist. What it
makes me is a true fair dinkum advocate for farmers
& freehold property rights. Very right of centre of me.

McCarthy's articles on CSG are always either pro CSG
or carefully manipulated to appear as being mildly con-
cessionary, always biased towards development with
only a few hollow & largely baseless statements of in-
tent which lacks any political foundation. This article
NEWMAN WOOS RURAL VOTE WITH CSG COM-
PO SYSTEM is intended to be a pre-emptive tip off
to Courier Mail readers indicating that LNP leader
Campbell Newman was going to make a press re-
lease today about the LNP's pledge to introduce a
compensation system allowing all farmers to get a
fair amount of compensation should their property
be adversely affected by all coal seam gas activity
which has a negative impace on soil quality, their
lifestyle or general aesthetics of their properties.

What really amazes me is why journalists like John
McCarthy and so called populists like Anna Bligh &
Campbell Newman cant realise the overwhelming
concerns which a majority of Queenslanders, both
city folk or country folk, do have about unrestricted
coal seam gas exploration & how the same people
want to see a CSG moratorium imposed immedi-
ately, without question and without reluctance on
the part of the government with the unconditional
support of the Opposition to initiate. All it comes
down to with Bligh and Newman is that they dont
want to give Aidan McLindon and the Australian
Party any positive momentum, simply because
it was originally McLindon's idea to present the
privates members bill proposing a moratorium
on coal seam gas to be introduced yonks ago.

As a diplomatic measure, i have Logan council-
lors Sean & Hajnal Black on my facebook page,
might be enough to make Lin Hall have a heart
attack or have security officers storm the Logan
City Council with capsicum spray, but my belief
always has been you catch more flies with hon-
ey. I dont have an image to uphold in Logan any-
more because i no longer reside in Logan, that's
why i haven't got a problem directly communi-
cating with the controversial councillor duo at
all. And to be totally fair, if it were not for Mrs.
Black i would not have got wind of the CSG
can of worms that has already opened in
Jimboomba, Cedar Vale, Flagstone, Park
Ridge and various other localities around
the back end of Logan City. Hajnal Black,
despite being a member of a CSG friend-
ly political party, has come out and said
that gas companies are suddenly buying
up heaps of property around rural Logan,
a very ominous sign indeed as far as pre-
venting the CSG train of momentum be-
coming a runaway train which will never
be stopped. Both her & Sean Black are
members of the LNP, good luck to both
of them keeping the LNP leader honest
on the issue of CSG in many semi-rural
areas of Logan, and good luck to every
other traditional conservative around
Queensland trying to make both Bligh
and Newman support the introduction
of a moratorium on coal seam gas be-
fore them and the McCarthy's of this
world bother worrying about farmers
compensation. State compensation
cannot save a lot of farming land in
Queensland from destruction or ir-
revocable degradation if a number
of pollies and journos have their
way and are not brought into line.

THREE BLACK SATURDAY HELICOPTERS BECOME CHARRED REMAINS OF THE VICTORIAN TREASURY

Because of my banishment from the press media, you could
not exactly blame me for being browned off the TV variety of
the media either, although i cant say i've ever come across
any TV journos as bad as the fools i am at loggerheads at
at a variety of newspapers, especially of course the flock
at the Courier Mail. Occasionally though, you dont have to
either read the newspaper or watch the TV to get a really
compelling news story to write about, were it not for my
brother i would not even have heard about it. So please
forgive me for writing this blog on impulse and with on-
ly a limited amount of knowledge of the issue at large.

Apparently, three helicopters in Victoria which are able
to be used to fight the same sort of deadly bushfires as
those experienced with the woeful Black Saturday fire-
storm have been flogged off. Why, because the Liberal
Bailleiu government wants to save a paltry $ 7 million.
Whether or not this decision was originally the brain-
storm of the rural fire service, the bureacracy or the
government is irrelevant on a political front, the Ted
Baillieu government must be held responsible for al-
lowing this gross act of tightwad mothwalletry ever
to be acted upon. For all the lucre which the Victor-
ian government siphons each year off the streets
of Melbourne metro with exorbitant toll charges &
a Big Brother super network of speed cameras
and traffic cops, are the general public in Vic-
toria supposed to believe that Bailleiu is that
desperate to trim the budget that he has to
pinch $7 million from the rural fire service
which needs consolidation and not pruning.
He and every MP in Victoria need to take
a paycut if the budget is so up the crap.

As much as the Brumby government was found
lacking in the aftermath of the tragic day that be-
come known as Black Saturday, you could not
have faulted his government's initial response
to the emergency on the day it all took place.
Brumby's big mistake was allowing apathy
to take hold and his government totally for-
got all about the townships which literally
burned into the ground on Black Saturday.
To this day, townships like Marysville are
still like ghosttowns, vital infrastructure
is still non-existance and no politician
based in the city of Melbourne seems
to give a stuff about the future of these
towns. What short memories some have.

The same severe bushfires as experienced on
Black Saturday could easily happen again in
the future, the topography of the landscape
in many parts of Victoria makes it extreme-
ly difficult for fire trucks to gain access to
areas to fight a bushfire before it's able
to get away from them and firefighters
and turn into an unstoppable inferno in
uninhabitated terrain. I cant lay claim
to being up with the state of the Victo-
rian budget and how bad Brumby and
Labor left the place in before the Libs
won office, but the Bailleiu govern-
ment has made a huge mistake by
getting rid of these three helicopters.
Morally very wrong, politically naive.

FORGET WHAT THE POLICE SAY - YOU ARE NOT AT FAULT IF YOU RUN UP THE CLACKER OF AN IDIOT ON THE ROAD WHO CUTS YOU OFF AND LOCKS IT UP

Tell me what you think about this scenario. Around two weeks ago
my brother was driving to work towards Brisbane City on the Riv-
erside Expressway northbound, travelling around 90 kilometres
an hour, sitting in the right hand lane, remembering there is
three lanes at the precise section of the freeway where this
incident i am about to tell you about took place, he was not
tailgating anyone, according to my brother, like he always
does he was at least three car lengths behind the car in
front of him, minding his own business and certainly not
agitated or aggressive for any reason. According to the
reliable account of events which my brother did explain
as what happened, a young girl driving a clapped out
old Datsun chopped across 2 lanes from the very left
one to get around slower moving vehicles in that lane
and the middle lane, nearly wiped out the car in the
middle lane which had been driving alongside next
to my brother for at least a few kilometres, and to
finish the job off and prove what an impatient and
foolhardy menace on the road she happens to be
she proceded to cut my brother off at speed, she
was that close to his car that she almost shaved
the left side of his bumper off, and then virtually
immediately after that, in the blink of an eyelid,
she locked her car at speed up on a proverbial
twenty cent piece because the traffic came to
a sudden stop ahead and my brother practical-
ly had no means of not colliding with her from
behind. The law that says that you're always
at fault if you run up someone's backside on
the road is nonsense & doesn't take circum-
stances into account whatsoever. Now what
was my brother supposed to do, this idiot of
a driver was the one who was driving like a
maniac and cutting across lanes erratically
and yet the police told my brother he was
still the one at fault. Two things that this
incident tells me is that the law can be
a real ass and police obviously couldn't
care less about an eyewitness account
when trying to establish who's to blame
for a causing a road accident as the re-
sult of negligent and dangerous driving.

KATTER'S AUSTRALIAN PARTY NOT IN TERRY SWEETMAN'S GOOD BOOKS

A couple of months ago i said i had retired from most forms
of political commentary, one reason because i didn't want
to indirectly promote the lop-sided and biased agenda of
News Limited journalists who are either hardcore Labor
or LNP supporters come what may, as well as the fact
that the whole experience of being screwed for around
18 months by a News Queensland editor-in-chief was
beginning to become too much of a headfock even for
me. Unless a journalist gives me a really good reas-
on to do it. Courier Mail and Sunday Mail columnist
Terry Sweetman has featured on here a few times
previously, these days Terry has even gone to the
length of blocking me from sending him any emails
to the exact same email address he advertises in
the Sunday Mail each week. Maybe he got tired
of my pisstake, satirical emails which i use to
send to him and all the other secretive journa-
lists employed at News Limited, but it goes to
show that Terry only believes in Terry and he
sees me as a threat to his reputation. Terry
doesn't like Bob Katter too much obviously,
that fact was there for all to witness in the
Sunday Mail yesterday. I do have to admit,
i think Bob Katter is a bit crazy and very
eccentric, but the man means well in his
own way and he really is a politician of
the people if ever there was one. Terry
Sweetman unfairly tagged Bob Katter
and his new Australian Party as a poli-
cy free zone, a party which will revel
in reactionary populism but wont have
any functional policy bedrock to back
up the rhetoric. Well you know what i
reckon Terry, i reckon i would sooner
have a politician fumbling around and
concocting a certain degree of policy
on the run than have the Labor Par-
ty or LNP blatantly disregarding the
ruling mandate of the electorate on
the basis of so-called core policies
that both parties may well abandon
if they are elected. Would someone
like Sweetman prefer we had some-
one like Katter who takes notice of
people, proposing simple and log-
ical policies which are practical
and well meaning, or alternative-
ly a Labor or LNP government
that's prepared to reneg on its
election promises & tear up the
policy platform of the party the
first oppurtunity it gets after
being elected. I rest my case!

SUCCESSFUL 2018 COMMONWEALTH GAMES BID FOR THE GOLD COAST A PERFECT POLITICAL DISTRACTION

Today's big announcement in St. Kitts that the Gold Coast won the
right to stage the 2018 Commonwealth Games should be cautious-
ly seen as great news for a part of Queensland which is suffering
as a result of post 2008 GFC business downturn, spiralling crime
and an increasing loss of identity for the city which was once an
1980's playground for entrepreneurs and the rich and famous. In
2011, i think the average Gold Coast resident would be happy to
just have a safe city to live in again, without the weekly epidemic
of armed robberies and other serious forms of violent crime that
has got a grip on the Gold Coast. Obviously, there is going to be
a major infrastructure boost for the Gold Coast in the coming
years before 2018 is here, road upgrades, essential services
infrastructure and city beautification projects have got to be
at the top of state government prioritised planning, in con-
junction with the Gold Coast City Council, regardless of
which government is in power, be that Labor or the LNP
by this time next year. The LNP would be best advised
to present its own costings straight away as to what it
is prepared to spend on, Bligh & Labor have scored a
few brownie points with voters on the Gold Coast as a
result of the successful bid for the games, the release
of an LNP policy specific to how much the party is set
to put aside for the staging of the event and precisely
what infrastructure will be upgraded on the Coast if
the LNP wins power is paramount to keeping the
LNP in the lead on the Gold Coast. Presently the
only conservative seat on the Gold Coast itself is
Surfers Paradise, held by John-Paul Langbroek.
The big issues which have to be addressed to
make the Coast capable of staging this event,
with the tens of thousands of tourists it is go-
ing to bring to the city, happen to be the same
ones which the Labor government didn't care
to sort out anywhere else in Queensland for
many years. A major upgrade to Gold Coast
hospital is now inevitable and a neccesity if
the Gold Coast is going to be equipped logis-
tically to be able of making it a success, only
problem is that the Labor Party is now very
likely to porkbarrel those seats held by the
party on the Gold Coast with funding for a
number of populist sure fire winners, the
biggest losers may well be the rest of the
state, roads, monorails and hospitals on
the Gold Coast must never raid the bud-
gets of the same essential infrastruc-
ture outside the Gold Coast area for
the sake of a 10 day sporting event
in seven years time. For the time
being anyway, a perfect distrac-
tion for Anna Bligh's political
failings has provided the Gold
Coast with a new lease of life.

MEDIA REPORTING ON THE FUTURE OF EAST TIMOR AND IRIAN JAYA CAMOUFLAGED BY KISS ARSE POLITICAL CORRECTNESS TO KEEP IN SWEET WITH JAKARTA

The media hasn't been providing much in the way of coverage for
a few years now about the political & social re-construction of
one of the world`s newest independent nations - East Timor.
None of us living outside East Timor would have a clue as
to the continued ackowledgement of the tiny nation`s sove-
reignty by its former brutal occupier, Indonesia, the ongo-
ing military backed humanitarian presence based there,
including that of the australian military and to what ex-
tent is the country becoming self - supportive on the
basis of having a sustainable economy which is ca-
pable of remaining intact long after any international
intervention in East Timor`s economic consolidation
has ceased. Possibly there isn't much worth report-
ing on anymore in East Timor but i say that with a
deep mistrust about the pseudo-totalitarian agenda
of Rupert Murdoch's australian print media empire
and the likelihood it is avoiding objective coverage
of East Timor in the present day to suck up with
Jakarta to save a few fools at Kerobokan prison
in Bali from becoming the cause of a diplomatic
wedge between Australia and Indonesia. As well
as such a possibility, the fact remains that Indo-
nesia remains aloof on the issue of autonomy
for Irian Jaya, also known as West Papua &
permitting the Papuan natives residing there,
who are not of Indonesian ethnicity, some de-
gree of self determination on the fundamental
issues of politics and religeon in their invaded
homeland. East Timor's population is mostly
made up of people of Portugese heritage, so
really what is the diffrence here. Why is it so
that the world community came to the aid of
the Portugese in East Timor to liberate the
new nation from Indonesian occupation but
the same crowd, including Australia, which
now even has a leftist Gillard government
running it instead of the reluctantly benev-
olent Liberal John Howard government,
is no where to be seen at a regional or
UN level when it comes to keeping In-
donesia honest over its occupation of
Irian Jaya and its extensive history of
of human rights abuse and violations
against scores of unarmed & peace-
ful Papuans who are living in the dis-
puted territory, or should i say, dying.
The fate of West Papuans deserves
to make the front page of the news-
paper or the six o'clock news a lot
more than the Bali Nine. My opinion!

NO WHEAT / NO RED MEAT DIET HAS GOT ME POSING IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR WHEN I HOP OUT THE SHOWER

Do you ever really consider how your body will deal with what
you eat & send down the shute? Do you make a comparison
between diffrent food types and what your body is capable of
digesting properly and what it isn't? Does the thought cross
your mind that red meat never properly breaks down and
what doesn`t come out the other end basically decays in
your intestine or rectum. Not a subject i really wanted to
get too deep into (laugh) on my blog but i think the issue
is worth some degree of open discussion in the media.

Recently i chose to avoid two food types in my diet which
knowingly are very hard to digest and in the case of one
type is the basis of Celiac Disease. They are wheat and
red meats. I have a very mild form of Celiac Disease, it
was never really bad like some have it but it caused me
to be bloated and feel as though i got kicked in the guts
every time i had a main meal. I am nearly 37 years old,
by my estimation i started suffering from rumble guts
ever since my early 20's. Like most men i've always
been loathe to go to the doctor in case something
is wrong with me, in hindsight i was incredibly stu-
pid not to sort out my gut problem years ago. All i
can say to everyone, especially the scaredy cat
men who suffer from white coat syndrome is do
not be scared, doctors dont bite, get a check-up
if you have constant heartburn and acid coming
back up your food pipe, and by all means, con-
sider avoiding all wheat. Your doctor probaly is
not going to recommend or mention it, unless
you are diagnosed with Celiac Disease avoid-
ing wheat is considered to be an over-reac-
tion, but Celiac or no Celiac, i swear by it.
Eat corn, eat oats, anything except wheat.

I have what is known as GORD - Gastro Osop-
hegus Reflux Disease, but i do have in under
control thanks to a drug named SOMAC, or
the same thing under a diffrent branding,
and in my personal opinion because i de-
cided to not eat wheat or red meat, my
analogy was that both of them are very
hard to digest and no matter if i have
GORD and /or a mild form of Celiac
Disease my gut could only benefit as
a result of not having to break down
both of them. The choice i made to
avoid red meat was partly because
i am against the methods that are
used to kill cows, lambs and pigs
at abatoirs and partially a lifesty-
le decision in consideration of
my own health & the GORD i
suffer from. Co-incidently there
has been another positive arise
from my new dietary regiment.

By no means am i all of a sudden doing
weights at the gym or displaying per-
fectly rounded pecs, but the fact is
all of a sudden i am so much fitter,
i have lost heaps of weight & touch
wood my gut is much much better
than it ever has been for the past
15 years or so, even if i forget to
take Somac like i'm supposed to
once a day. I put this all down to
not eating wheat or any type of
red meat. I am eating plenty of
cheese, potatoes, crispbread,
fatty fried eggs, chips as well
as many other naughty things,
but within reason i must say, as
well i am drinking some grog like
i always have as well. It's not as
though i have a bare pantry now,
i am living and eating just great.
Everyone's body is diffrent, how-
ever, i do believe my no wheat/
no red meat diet is just as le-
gitimate in sound medical the-
ory as any other dietary plan.

MY DAYS AS A COUNCIL CARETAKER TAUGHT ME THAT DRINKING AFTER MIDNIGHT ONLY MEANS T.R.O.U.B.L.E

Something must be wrong, i've been going a bit easy on Labor
in Queensland lately, must be because the LNP is kicking a
few own goals on a few of the critical issues which both par-
ties dont seem to ever address fully. One of the most contro-
versial decisions which the state Labor government has made
in more recent years is to bring in legislation imposing a 3am
curfew on all nightclub and pub establishments across the
state, which legally prevents anyone entering a licenced
premise after 3am, but if you are in a certain nightclub
or pub already before that time, you are allowed to re-
main there after that time. Special days in the year
like New Years Eve are exempt from this legislation.

Premier of Queensland Anna Bligh has indicated that
in no uncertain terms the government feels the 3am
curfew or lockout has not been a success, it hasn't
curbed alchohol related street violence, it has not
reduced glassings and other assaults inside night-
clubs and pubs and it hasn't helped to put a stop
to intimidation and alchohol fueled aggression at
taxi ranks and other public areas in Brisbane as
well as other places around Queensland. That
is the reason apparently why Labor is going to
repeal the legislation and completely abandon
the 3am curfew & allow pubs and nightclubs
to let patrons in at an hour of the day when
all of us should either be in bed anyway or
have likely had quite a sufficient amount
of alchohol to drink in the hours before
3am. You can have a big night & still
call it quits at around midnight, that's
a certainty. If you think you have to
drink after 3am you're an alchoholic.
Anna Bligh should hear what all the
ambulance officers, police and the
doctors have to say who got to deal
with and patch up all those who are
victims of alchohol related violence
before she goes about tearing up
the only decent piece of legislation
which Labor has ever brought in
to deal with booze related crime.

From my experience working for the Logan
City Council as a caretaker/function co-or-
dinator at Springwood Community Cen-
tre between early 2006 and mid 2009,
i can assure you binge drinking into
the wee hours of the morning brings
out the animal in aggressive males,
and consumption of alchohol after
midnight is generally not a good
thing at all. The majority of the
'bad' parties which i officiated
at in my three years employed
at the council were ones that
concluded at 1 am, that being
the LCC curfew for functions.
By promoting people to drink
into the dead of the evening,
you are basically waving a
red rag at an enraged bull
in many cases & saying
drink some more mate
and go punch someone
or glass someone in the
eye. Protecting people
from intoxicated idiots
is more important than
any Labor Party politi-
cal stunt to repeal the
legislation as a way of
jagging the Gen-Y vote
before the next election.

BADRICK UNADULTERATED NO LONGER RIGHT WING ENOUGH FOR THE NEW POLITICAL PARADIGM

Going back to when i first started in the internet blogging game,
which was early 2009, the whole political dynamics surround-
ing me were extremely diffrent. Australia was almost totally
governed by Labor, Fabian Society style micro politics had
the wood on right wing grassroots fundamentalism at the
coal face of the community, because i was a centre right
conservative, like i still am today, it was easy for myself
in those days to write articles that were slightly right of
centre in an ideological sense & be seen to be the arbi-
trator between left wing extremism & more extreme right
wing fundamentalism. The tide has certainly turned since
early 2009, for me it has become a case of being wedged
between my own conservative centre right belief system
and the overwhelming political momentum against Labor
and socialism in general. Inadvertantly, blogging for me
has become a very lonely profession in the process.

Lonely because i really feel as though anytime i open
my trap now about a political issue i am just wasting
my time because the majority of people who look at
Badrick Unadulterated have made up their mind any
how as to their political decision making and which
political party gets their support, as unobjective as
that may be a lot of the time. Besides local govern-
ment on some occasions, i dont support most of
the policies that Labor stands for, i dont support
socialism and i am not a left winger. But to be
totally honest, the narrowminded bigotry that
many right wingers display in their daily walks
of life, by not giving a fair hearing to alternative
points of view, by being overwhelmingly set
in their ideas, and by lacking the capacity to
make objective decisions with an open mind
towards ideological diversity, has become as
much a curse in cyberspace as the leftist ex-
tremism i originally sought to conquer when
i instigated Badrick Unadulterated in 2009.

Because i'm now competing against politics on
the extreme right hand side of the fence, and
not nearly as much Labor leftism any longer,
naturally i have had to adjust my style to ac-
comodate the new political paradigm. If
i didn't then basically i may as well do a
runner and give blogging away. I have
not turned into a left winger, instead
i have sensibly pitched myself within
a more moderate and traditional con-
servative category, anyone who has
read my other blog, Lost Treasures
Review, would know that this blog
caters for a degree of experimen-
tation with me writing about ob-
scure music & movies ect. that
really take my fancy. It permits
me to have some fun & let my
hair down, conservatives still
can be daring and provocative,
that's always been my way of

CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT AND HIS REIGN OF BUSHRANGER TERROR ACROSS NEW ENGLAND AND BEYOND

One of the most enduring yet relatively overlooked legends
in the history of australian folklore is the life of bushranger
Captain Thunderbolt, his real name Frederick Ward. He
was born in 1833 and he either died as the result of gun
battle in 1870 in the New England district of New South
Wales or somehow hitched a ride to america after the
infamous Kentucky Creek shootout. The odds are he
was shot dead & speculation to the contrary has as
much basis as suggesting Elvis is still alive and hi-
ding in Graceland or Buddy Holly survived the plane
crash, made a run for it, and has lived in Scotland
for the past 50 something years as a disfigured re-
cluse. In other words, believing Captain Thunder-
bolt made it to the wild west of america after he
was reported to have been shot dead is just fan-
ciful fantasy invented to airbrush folklore and
the way in which he met his fate. Thunderbolt
was the son of a convict Michael Ward and a
lady named Sophia, Thunderbolt's undoing
began after he become involved in a horse
stealing gang in 1856 of which his nephew
John Garbutt was the ringleader. Captain
Thunderbolt as well as John and brother
James Garbutt recieved a jail sentence
of ten years for their crimes spree at
the notorious Cockatoo Island prison,
Thunderbolt was let out after serving
only four years, only then to meet a
lady named Mary Ann Bugg, have a
love child with her, to only then end
up back at Cockatoo Island after
breaching parole conditions as a
result of taking his woman back
to her father's farm at Dungog
for the delivery of the infant.

About a couple of years later fol-
lowing his second spell of incar-
citration, on September 11, 1863,
Thunderbolt and accomplice broke
or managed to swim from the Cock-
atoo Island prison to make landfall
at Woolwich, his new accomplice,
Frederick Britten, would continue
the association with him and to-
gether the two of them teamed
up to rob a shepherds hut near
Gostwyck at Uralla. A few days
later an attempted mail heist
resulted in Thunderbolt be-
ing shot in the back of the
left knee, an injury which
made identifying him after
his death 7 years later a
whole lot easier. Between
1863 and 1870, Frederick
Thunderbolt and many diff-
rent accomplices were in-
strumental in gunrunning
many shops, mail wagons,
stations and hotels across
most of northern New South
Wales, anywhere from Tam-
worth to Bourke, no where
in the entire New England
region especially was ev-
er totally immune from the
'gentlemanly thuggery' of
this horse breaking petty
criminal who would end
up being one of the most
infamous bushrangers ever.

POVERTY GAP OF THE COAL SEAM GAS MINING BOOM BOUND TO BECOME AS WIDE AS THE GRAND CANYON

The downside to the coal seam gas & coal mining explosion
in Queensland extends far further than just extensive dam-
age to farmland and pastoral areas, potential and probable
contamination of underground water and the destruction
of the history & culture of townships in farming regions.
As was `selectively` reported in the Courier Mail on the
22nd September by property editor Michelle Hele, man-
tra all too often backed by pro-coal gas journalist John
McCarthy, the mining bonanza in Queensland on the
back of the coal gas & coal boom is a 2 edged sword
of fortune & misfortune for the Queensland real estate
market and the current residents of townships across
Queensland who are none the wiser to the advantag-
es & disadvantages of trading a farming culture for
a mining culture for their town in the forseeable
future. The truth is that most of the people who
are living in coal belt towns across Queensland
and New South Wales are being kept in the dark
over government & bureaucratic agendas which,
`coal seam gas moratoriums or no coal seam
gas moratoriums`, are fixed on a conclusion
which will permit a bigger percentage of coal
seam gas drilling and open cut coal mines to
be given the green light regardless of all the
negative impacts of the two which an impar-
tial investigation independent of gas com-
panies will almost definitely highlight as
being unavoidable. News Limited seems
to be hellbent on promoting coal gas to
the point whereby journalists like John
McCarthy & Des Houghton appear to
be adaptable on CSG when the state
government or the LNP releases a
press statement promoting legisla-
tive restrictions being placed on
future CSG development. To me
the relationship between journos
and politicians on coal seam gas
is far too cozy to be objective.

In fairness to the Courier Mail, the news-
paper has given some extremely neg-
ative coverage to what appears to be
contamination of Gladstone Harbour
in proximity to the gas terminal late-
ly, certain species of fish are dying
as a result of the suspected contam-
ination and still the gas companies &
the state government continues to de-
ny anything untoward has taken place.
On the issue of the article THE GREAT
DIVIDE going back to the 22nd Septem-
ber, it should act as a big wake up call
to all Queenslanders, including many
biased press journos and institutiona-
lised politicians, that coal gas is go-
ing to bring on a mass social disas-
ter whereby people living in region-
al towns, those who have made a
country town what they are today,
will get squeezed and priced out
of their own towns due to gross
over-capitalisation and massive
inflationary rises in the price
of rent, food and many other
essentials which the mining
boom will inevitable cause
if country towns in farm-
ing areas aren`t spared
from the coal seam gas
and open cut onslaught.
No house in Moranbah is
worth $1800 a week for rent.

EXIT FROM AFGHANISTAN THE ONLY WAY TO STOP MORE ALLIED TROOPS COMING HOME IN A WOODEN BOX

War has become an industry and a commodity ever since the end
of the French Revolution. After that took place, every battle ever
waged in the world had a price tag, and every bullet which left
the end of a gun after that period of time in the history of the
world symbolically represented the imperialist pursuits of
governments who are in the business of propping up ail-
ing economies & leaders who use war as a mechanism
to attain greater power and a mandate to rid the world of
totalitarianism. Only problem is most of the time it seems
the power has always gone to the head of them who sup-
posedly start out as the good fellas and who would not
inflame a bilateral war by misrepesenting military intel-
ligence and exaggerating the threats posed by some
despot in another country. The unholy union of the
Saddam hunters - George W. Bush, former prime
minister of Australia John Howard & former prime
minister of Britain, Tony Blair, proves how easily
sane political minds can easily be waylaid by ego-
tistical madness & ideological shortsightedness
in the heat of the moment. I never did support
the Afghanistan war right from the hour Bush
Jr sent thousands of marines in to fight the
Taliban, his jingoistic ramblings about Aus-
tralia & Britain joining his self proclaimed
coalition of the willing, originally his theme
for the US gaining bilateral support to invade
Iraq in 2003, were always distinctly lacking
in substance like Bush himself. What has
the war in Afghanistan achieved? Absolutely
nothing! The Iraq war has cost well in ex-
cess of 4000 american lives as well as
the lives of many other foreign military
personnel. The Afgani twig of the war
on terror has cost many thousands
of lives, the Taliban remains resilient
and tough and has held its territory
in at least half of what it controlled
in Afghanistan prior to 2003. Apart
from shooting Osama Bin Laden,
who by the time of his death was
only a reclusive symbolic figure
of Al-Qaida and the Taliban and
was not even a terrorist opera-
tive in Afghanistan any longer,
the US has really achieved
nothing in its vain imperialist
push to cleanse Afghanistan
and the world of extremism.

CLEAN COAL TECHNOLOGY AND ZEROGEN SKUTTLED BY THE APATHETIC CANNONBALL OF POLITICAL NEGLIGENCE

The demise of the clean coal dream in Queensland due to political
indecisiveness and apathy should in no way detract from the over-
all sound concept of implementing clean coal technology by being
able to capture carbon before it can escape into the atmosphere.
I have been down this road once before with ZeroGen, a contrived
state government project with so-called scientifically admissa-
ble backing, the project has now gone belly up, but not before
it sucked up $108 million of taxpayers money (incorrectly re-
ported by the Courier Mail as being $116 million), but none-
theless, $108 million or $116 million, it is still a bucketload
of lost money. The issue is not about the sound scientific
ideology of devising ways of capturing industrious carbon
before it leaves chimney smelters and power stations but
its about the copulous amount of money which this Labor
government, as well as the Gillard federal one, wastes
like it is going out of existance on white elephant pro-
jects which either never get off the ground or end up
like the insulation roll out fiasco which was devised
by Kevin Rudd and Peter Gareth with criminally negli-
gent and fiscally destructive outcomes for Australia.

Personally i am all for clean coal technology, i am
thankful i am not some redneck who thinks that the
atmosphere is indestructible and totally immune to
industrial carbon pollution, and at the same time, i
am thankful i am not some irresponsible left wing
politician who does not give a damn about fiscal
accountability & making sure taxpayers money
is used wisely and responsibly, and is directed
where it should with full public disclosure. Both
Queensland and federal Labor has pumped
money into ZeroGen, the latter contributed
around $43 million with around $50 million
directly coming from the coal industry. If
Anna Bligh or stamp duty rogue Andrew
Fraser are under any illusions that loos-
ing that sort of taxpayers money is not
on a par with various other derivatives
of official corruption, then truly both of
them should think again. Terry Lewis
got locked up for taking a few hundred
grand in brown papers bags, the entire
Fitzgerald Inquiry was based on a sum
of money of less than one million dol-
lars being mis-approriated and embez-
zled by crooked cops and a few under-
world figures, and yet for some reason
the frontbenchers of the Queensland
Labor Party over 20 years on believe
it is morally acceptable and in no
way official corruption for around
120 times that sort of money to go
up in a big puff of smoke on their
parliamentary watch. Labor double
standards and hypocricy has never
ceased to amaze me, the demise of
ZeroGen has taken such hypocricy
to a whole new level of deception.

CHILD SAFETY MESSAGE OF THE MORCOMBE FAMILY WORDS OF WISDOM FOR ALL PARENTS

Today is Day For Daniel, a day in memory of Daniel Morcombe,
the Sunshine Coast teenager who was presumably abducted
and murdered in 2003. His long suffering but resiliant parents,
Bruce and Denise, have soldiered on through unrelenting &
emotionally draining torment, knowing for the past eight or
so years that Daniel was probaly gone but up until more
recently probaly not giving up all hope of miracuously
finding Daniel alive somewhere. Now that his remains
have been found & Perth man Brett Peter Cowan has
been charged with his abduction and murder all that
remains for the Morcombes to do is honour Daniel`s
memory by striving to promote the safety message
for young children which sadly could not save their
son`s life almost 8 years ago. Day for Daniel is the
Morcombe`s way to triumph over tragedy, a way
of quenching their grief over losing their much
loved son by inventing a very constructive way
of promoting child safety in the broader com-
munity. The Morcombes are hellbent on ma-
king sure the message about protecting kids
from on-line sex predators and being abduc-
ted physically gets out there to the general
public, courtesy of their unrelenting spea-
king engagements in heaps of schools
right across Australia. I am all for what
the Morcombe clan is doing for Daniel,
but what must not be forgotten is that
there are plenty of people out there
right now with a warped and sadistic
mind like Brett Peter Cowan who are
capable of doing what Cowan is al-
ledged to have committed against
Daniel Morcombe, or at the very
least, capable of sexually and
physically abusing young kids
and downloading pictures as
well as videos off the net in-
volving young children of
both sexes being sexually
abused. Day for Daniel is
a wonderful legacy in his
memory, but it will never
nip the darkest side that
humanity has to offer in
the bud. Parents need to
be aware that seeing the
worst of human depravity,
such as sexual abuse of
babies and toddlers, as
well as bestiality, is still
as easy as carrying out
a simple Google search.

CHEAP THRILLS FOR ADOLESCENTS DONT COME WITH A PEER PRESSURE WARNING LABEL

Back when i was at school, there was such a thing as peer pressure,
kids my age got pressured into liking Metallica or run the risk of be-
ing the uncoolest kid in the playground, smoking some pot down
behind the oval at lunch time or being a bully who went around
picking on other kids. I was a member of the school of the 80`s
club, started Grade 1 in 1980 and finished Grade 10 in 1989, in
the years i was at school i saw some degree of deterioration as
far as kid`s attitude, behaviour and morals were concerned, but
barring an absolute minority of born troublemakers, most school
age kids back in my school days still knew where to draw a line
before they experimented & dabbled in things that took them
beyond the point of no return. Twenty two years later i really
cannot believe what kids are doing to get a few cheap thrills.

Petrol sniffing and chroming are two highly dangerous activi-
ties which were not even heard of in the suburbs of a capital
city back in 1989, petrol sniffing remains a relatively stereo-
typed activity which is associated with Aboriginals living
in remote townships who are bored out of their brains
and need a cheap high to allow them to escape reality
for a while. The statistical truth is that petrol sniffing is
a major social problem amongst the young caucasion
population of urban and rural Australia, for probaly the
same reasons as why many Aboriginals start doing it,
because of BOREDOM. Why anyone would want to
give themselves the worst headache imaginable &
destroy 50 million brain cells a fix, by putting their
nose to a petrol can? Indicative of what someone
does when they dont care less about themselves
and will do anything to escape their own reality.

Chroming is not quite as trendy as it was quite a
few years ago, but it still is a common practise
in high density urban areas and remote regional
towns where people of youthful age dont have
enough `healthy` activities to participate in to
occupy their time, it`s all part of the legacy
of urban & agrarian socialism where provi-
ding young people with decentralised forms
of social infrastructure, besides shopping
centres, like sports and recreational cen-
tres and skating rinks, was a lost cause
& forgotten about around the time when
i was at school. Tell me, why would any-
one want to get high on a can of enamel
paint or spray on chrome, which is why
it is called CHROMING? Kids and young
adolescents in your suburb are doing
it right now, inhaling the fumes out
of a spray can. Stupidity cannot be
outlawed and some kids are born to
be stupid, but obviously peer pres-
sure is a very powerful influence
on a young mind & even sensible
kids can be brainwashed enough to
give something like chroming a go.

The latest peer pressure empowered fad
which is sweeping the globe and has al-
ready claimed the lives of many young
people is CHOKING. It started out in
the US and already australian young
people are `choking` for a cheap &
nasty thrill. The intention is for the
the person to momentarily strangle
themselves, like temporary asphy-
xiation, as to deprive their brain
of oxygen so the person stupid
enough to be doing this gets a
feeling of euphoria and is on
a big high as a consequence.

BRISBANE`S FLEETING BRUSH WITH ENGLISH ROYALTY OVERFLOWING WITH MONARCHIST MOB WORSHIP

So Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, and her husband, Prince
Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, dedicated 4 hrs of their hel-
ter skelter australian tour itinerary to pay a lightning bolt
visit to Brisbane. Far be it from me to be a republican,
i am still bemused and intrigued as to the ritualistic &
mob worship attitude of the thousands of Brisbane-
ites who came out in droves just to get a glimpse
of a nicely dressed & orderly elderly english lady
just because she is `royal`. I am sure if Elizabeth
required blood in an emergency, she would have
red blood like everybody else, she doesn`t really
have `blue blood`, as it is commonly referred to
in a symbolic manner. She and Prince Philip are
a nice couple, i am sure about that, but i really
think the public showing of affection for royalty
as shown by australians towards the Queen
on what is probaly her final visit to Australia is
over the top and way too cute. The Queen did
take half an hour of her extremely brief visit to
Brisbane`s South Bank to talk to many victims
of the January floods, showing she is compas-
sionate and is capable of coming down from
the royal ivory tower and putting herself in a
position where she is assessible to an aver-
age commoner to lend an ear to everybody,
but the pomp & ceromony & hero worship
offered to the Queen for such a brief visit in
my opinion proves that royalty is two things
(1) an excuse to promote elitism and to put
those who have inherited public office on a
pedestal when they haven`t been elected to
hold such a position, and (2) an outdated
institution which promotes the belief sys-
tem that being royal makes you a better
person in the sight of God, and because
of that you become automatically entitled
to preferential treatment & grandizement
from those who are called commoners.
I was a church goer for long enough
to be taught that in the sight of God
all are equal, and royalty completely
goes against that most fundamen-
tal of christian dogmas. No we dont
need any politicians republic, social-
ism or Fabian Society communism,
but to be honest, we dont need the
pretentious blah blah pomp and ce-
remony of english royalty either.

COMMON SENSE A BETTER SUBSTITUTE THAN A CRYSTAL BALL WHEN DECIDING THE BEST TIME TO TACKLE LA NINA

Instead of pushing the panic button and making rash decisions
on the run when confronted with an emergency or a potential
situation requiring firm and decisive action, the best option
is to keep your cool and above all dont be too emotive or re-
active when trying to overcome a problem. This goes for life
in general and not just with SEQ WATER deciding when is
the best time to release water out of Wivenhoe and North
Pine Dam to try and avert a hypothetical and catastrophic
flood event. Brisbane, Ipswich & many other places around
Queensland of course were inunadated by floodwater back
in the January floods, not forgetting especially the deluged
town of Grantham in the Lockyer Valley that bore the brunt
of a tidal surge of raging freshwater which come screaming
down the Toowoomba Range and down the Lockyer Creek.

Cyclone Yasi was much less brutal to the northern coast of
Queensland, Cardwell and a few other small towns were
still hammered by the elements. All in all, last summer
was the worst a La Nina weather system could ever
deliver. Unlike the rest of Queensland, Brisbane &
Ipswich bore the brunt of an intentional act to let
water go out of Wivenhoe Dam, if it is any com-
pensation at least the people living outside Bris-
bane and Ipswich can say they didn`t get flooded
`cause of any other reason than bad luck. There
has been a flood enquiry this year, with a heap
of media attention given to it, and apart from
constructive rhetoric being proposed, it does
remain to be seen if Queensland will be bet-
ter prepared for a major flood event in the
future, at the logistical level with co-ordi-
nation between the government of the day
and the various emergency service depart-
ments on standby for a weather emergency.

The Sunday Mail reported today that recent up
to date weather forecasts, which were tabled in
in a report which was kept from public view up
until now, does indicate that the likelihood of a
potentially devastating La Nina weather pat-
tern developing again in the coming summer
months is much higher than it was only weeks
ago, and the government has been advised to
authorise pre-emptive releases of water out
of Wivenhoe and North Pine Dam, and quite
possibly others, before even three drops of
rain from a severe rain event comes down
from the clouds. Wouldn`t it be smarter
if SEQ WATER at least waits for a cyc-
lone to brew, or a confronting amount
of low pressure systems to hang over
south-east Queensland, before these
drastic measures are adopted to let
water out of the dams considering
they are not even full. Water was
released out of Wivenhoe Dam
earlier in the year, it currently
is just over 80% capacity, i do
not see the logic in releasing
more water out of Wivenhoe
and North Pine Dam until we
at least know that a cyclone
is on its way down the coast
or the rain is bucketing down.
No disrespect meant whatso-
ever to long range weather
forecasters but releasing
water out of both dams to
below a nominal 80% level
would be absolutely dumb.

QANTAS AND THE TRANSPORT WORKERS UNION BOTH GUILTY OF LOOKING TOO MUCH AFTER NUMBER ONE

Right now, the flying kangaroo isn`t flying nearly as much as
it normally does, or if it is, it isn`t on time like it always has
been for just about every year over the past century. The
flying kangaroo is the affectionate terminology for QANTAS,
and right now QANTAS, Australia`s biggest player in the do-
mestic and international air travel business, is slowly but
surely being buried under a corporate runway to the point
of going belly up as a result of the crippling strike action
against the company by the Transport Workers Union.
Baggage handlers, engineers and long haul pilots are
making pay demands that QANTAS CEO Alan Joyce
claims will threaten the jobs of 28000 other staff, who
aren`t bitching to the union about their employment en-
titlements, if the dispute continues. Knowing the pow-
er of the TWU, i dont even think a fiery and stubborn
irishman like Joyce can take on the TWU and win.

Joyce is not some patriotic aussie who has tried to keep
QANTAS jobs in Australia where they belong, he cant
ever lay claim to this point in time of putting workers
rights before the corporate wellbeing of QANTAS. The
manner in which aircraft maintenance jobs at the air-
line have been shipped overseas in the last few years
to Asia, purely as a cost cutting measure to increase
the dividends for QANTAS shareholders, rightfully has
been cynically observed by the powermongerers at the
Transport Workers Union as just another example of
corporate greed gone wrong at the expense of keep-
ing QANTAS a truly australian company offering
employment to australians instead of foreigners.

Nonetheless, the Transport Workers Union like you
would expect with any union is aiming way far too
high with the wage claims on behalf of its mem-
bers and is not considering the impact that the
strike action is having not only on QANTAS and
the airline`s non-union alligned workforce, but
on the aviation industry in general across Aus-
tralia. The TWU represents 3800 workers out
of around 30000 at QANTAS, hardly what you
would call a majority, and no one at the union
or at the Australian and Internation Pilots` as-
sociation, which represents many long haul
pilots embroiled in the QANTAS pay dispute,
seems to acknowledge the bad timing of the
5% plus extra wage claim in consideration
of the current economic downturn across
the entire world. Alan Joyce might have
some skeletons in the closet about not
looking after australian QANTAS em-
ployees and allowing the airline to be-
come anything but an icon of australian
business, but you still cant blame him
for standing up for common sense &
highlighting the fact that considering
the current economic climate no air-
line can afford to pay the excessive
increases in wages which the TWU
is demanding QANTAS pays those
who are members of the TWU.

The rising cost of aircraft fuel, the
overall downturn in tourism, greater
amount of competition from rival com-
panies such as Virgin and Jetstar is
the reason why QANTAS is battling
to begin with, the company has been
losing $10 million a week since the
beginning of August due to all the
strike action and 500 flights have
been cancelled in the next month,
with Joyce conceding that there is
every possibility that the company
will just have to park hundreds of
planes if overtime bans by all the
union alligned engineers persist.

As much as i believe in the rights
of workers & a reasonable degree
of union intervention in the name
of standing up for all those who
aren`t getting a fair deal from a
big multi-national company like
QANTAS, you cant blame Alan
Joyce if the TWU and certain oth-
er unions make unequitable wage
claims and the QANTAS board
sends even more QANTAS jobs
overseas in the process. There
has to be compromises made
on both sides or else the dis-
pute looks set to go on and on.

CAN THE RAISING OF THE TAX FREE THRESHOLD COMPENSATE FOR THE CARBON TAX ECONOMIC PAIN?

To begin this, allow me to say that this is not a piece of
partisan political commentary, i have effectively retired
from that form of freelance writing because of the per-
secution which News Ltd journalists, particularly editor-
in chief David Fagan at the Courier Mail, has actioned
against me over the past year & the manner in which
i was left out to dry by politicians from both the ma-
jor political parties in Queensland because of my re-
solve to expose unethical journalists who are protec-
ting them. In Queensland, my attitude is now bugger
Labor, bugger the LNP and bugger News Ltd. journa-
lists. They shit all over me so damn the lot of them.

But occasionally i might still dabble in something
of a federal political nature if something particu-
larly gets me attention, and on the issue of the
carbon tax & the tax offsets which federal La-
bor has promised, the latter must be provided
some objective consideration. Firstly, i would
like to reliterate my complete opposition to the
carbon tax, not because i believe that there is
no chance of some forms of climate change
occuring in the world which may be the re-
sult of carbon pollution, but because i am
not stupid and i know like millions of oth-
er australians that Australia`s carbon tax
will not put any tangible dent in the glo-
bal carbon output. Effectively speaking
all the carbon tax is going to do is ex-
port a percentage of any carbon diox-
ide omissions cuts that the tax hypo-
thetically is supposed to cut, which
will be marginal at best, to places
like China and India. Australia is
going to lose jobs, more manufac-
turing will be going overseas to
compensate for the effect that
the carbon tax will have on the
economy and all the developing
countries will simply increase
their manufacturing base which
is responsible for causing car-
bon pollution. Economically it
is very bad news for australia.

Trees! Trees Trees! is my motto,
but no one in Canberra, including
Bobby Brown, seem to give a hoot
about them, only the carbon tax.
One interesting element of fed-
eral Labor`s revamping of the
taxation system is the pledge
to increase the tax-free thres-
hold to almost $20000, which
will make it so that well over
1 million australians will not
be forking out any income tax
once the carbon tax is enacted
next July. As much as i know
that Labor invents monetary
policy on the whim and that
Wayne Swan doesn`t have
a clue what he`s doing, it
would still be in the best
interests of my own objec-
tivity if i present some op-
purtunity for everybody to
have their say on whether
or not they think increas-
ing the tax free threshold
will compensate partially
or fully for the probable
effects of the carbon tax.

Ask any overseas tourist or just somebody you know overseas and
chances are if you ask them what they think is the most expen-
sive country to have a holiday in they`re very likely to mutter
Australia. Why has Australia earned that reputation? Well it
has a lot to do with skyrocketing prices for motel accomo-
dation & the cost of guided tours once they arrive in Aus-
tralia, among many other things like food and petrol that
gets passed onto holiday makers sooner or later. Then
there is also the squillion amount of taxes which motel
operators, tour operators, in fact all businesses that
are part of the hospitality industry, pass on as well
to the user end, that also includes us poor fellas
who live in Australia. Cant write this without men-
tioning them. Apart from fuel, it is now much more
cost effective to have a holiday in New Zealand in-
stead of Australia, taking into account the short-
er distances which you generally have to travel
in NZ it is fast becoming a no-brainer to have a
holiday in Aus when you can get yourself a rea-
sonably cheap airfare to NZ to get there. A few
years ago that would`ve been incomprehensi-
ble. Places like Germany and Holland are re-
garded as being expensive places to go for a
holiday, by average standards that is proba-
ly so but from personal knowledge i do know
your money goes a lot further when you have
a holiday in Europe rather than Australia, at
least once the wheels of your jet plane hit
the tarmac. Diffrence between Europe
and Australia is that the price slug of
travelling to most of Europe is mostly
airfares, mainly as a result of connec-
ting flights, but once you are on the
street in most parts of Europe you`ll
most probaly be able to get a fairly
good deal with the cost of a holiday
provided it is a guided tour you`re
embarking on. Australia on a street,
user end level is becoming totally
overpriced, and the country is be-
coming somewhat of a no-go des-
tination for overseas tour opera-
tors. So expensive many of them
are putting Australia completely
on the backburner and failing in-
tentionally to promote Australia
to prospective overseas tourists.
If you want a prime example of a
huge rip-off which is happening
right under our noses in Brissie
where i live, then look no further
than the vehicular ferry compa-
ny that is operating the ferry be-
tween Port of Brisbane & More-
ton Island. The cost of the water
taxi is bad enough, the price for
a walk on vehicular ferry passen-
ger is just absolutely outrageous.
Truly a trip to Tangalooma would
be enough to convince any over-
seas tourist that Australia isn`t
any budget holiday destination.

RUSSIA AND CHINA TURNING A UNITED NATIONS BLIND EYE TO THE ATROCITIES OF THE BASHAR AL-ASSAD REGIME

The ongoing brutal genocide which the dictatorship of Syria is
perpetrating against thousands of innocent civilians in most
parts of the predominantly arab nation is not something that
any democratic leader in other countries can ever condone.
The ruling Baath Party, led by Bashar al-Assad, the son
of Hafex al-Assad, who ruled Syria with an iron fist for
thirty years until his death in 2000, had up until more
recent times allowed some degree of peace and tole-
rance to exist in the strife torn nation, after all those
years of Hafex killing anyone in Syria who as much as
even waved a protest sign against his regime. Where
did it all go wrong, and why has the one time reasona-
ble son, who recieved a western education in London,
turned into an evil megalomaniac like his father was,
and decided to stamp out any political opposition to
the Baath Party with Saddam Hussein style brutality.

It`s often forgotten that Saddam`s Iraqi regime was
party of the Baath Party, it is a party which takes
Marxist communist control adding extreme fun-
damentalism to a fanatical & genocidal level, in
Syria, like Iraq before its post 2003 liberation,
the Bashar al-Assad dictatorship has a total
zero tolerance of allowing any form of political
opposition to exist within the country, there`s
no real freedom of religeon in the country be-
sides the minority appeal brand of islam that
the al-Assad regime is the ideological patron
for, and if you dare to speak out against the
regime and are found out, you will either be
shot or run over with a tank, if you are not
hanged or tortured to death if you are cap-
tured by al-Assad`s loyal military gangs.

Much of his father`s brutality was planned and
executed by a right wing idealogue by the name
of Mustafa Tlass in the 80`s and 90`s. What a
lot of people dont know is that Hafex was re-
sponsible for the genocide of approximately
20000 innocent civilians around the ancient
city of Aleppo around the beginning of the
80`s, no diffrent whatsover in principle to
how Saddam killed thousands of Kurds
in northern Iraq. Aleppo reportedly is
one of the safer places within Syria
at the present time, but history can
not be airbrushed to change what the
al-Assad Snr. regime done to Syrians
in Aleppo approximately 30 years ago.

The west must step in to stop what is
happening in Syria, and i dont mean it
should be an all-american liberation.
The US has already overcommitted
in Iraq & Afghanistan, both in terms
of funding and lives lost, but the UN
must overrule Russia & China, who
are permanent members of the UN,
if both countries continue to vote
against imposing sanctions on
the Bashar- al-Assad regime to
try and end all the bloodshed
happening in Syria. I suspect
one reason why Russia and
China wont use the position
on the UN they have to vote
for sanctions against Syria
to be enforced is quite pos-
sibly because both countries
are supplying black market
weaponary to the al-Assad
regime on the sly. Russia
and China should be boot-
ed out of the UN if they
dont change their tune.

ACCENTS OF THE ENGLISH WORLD THE ONE CULTURAL NUANCE IMMUNE FROM ANY ONE WORLD AGENDA

Accents represent cultural and ethnic autonomy in a manner that
defines regions of the earth and individuality, and how engaging
can it be to listen to people from other countries and how they
speak & wonder how they ever become to talk like they do just
because they are living across the water from where you do. I
only know how to speak english, i am not in a position to know
if there are diffrent accents as it were with other languages,
i only know there are regional sub-languages of certain lang-
uages besides english. The convoluted dialect that french
canadians speak, that is basically half baked french, is a
prime example of that. Talking from a purely english point
of view, english is not always english whatsoever, if you
ever meet a Jordie, that is what you call a pom from the
north of England (usually from around Newcastle), there
is every chance you wont understand a word they are
saying if you are an aussie or even from London. It
is often easier to understand a real true blue Irish-
man, even one who`s slurring their words drinkin`
three pints of Guinness, than it is to understand
a Jordie who is fully sober. For me personally, i
have always been able to understand a Scot a
lot better than an irishman or a Jordie, others
find it to be the other way round. Most of the
South Africans who speak english quite often
are confused with being a pom, their accent
is very expressionist, almost bordering on
being posh, occasionally a Springbok may
also sound like a canuck, no offence meant
to my ten or so Canadian readers (laugh).

Of course, coming from Australia i have
heard plenty of kiwis talking, that being
the case because half of them shift
to Australia sooner or later. The kiwi
accent sounds like it does `cause it
has a lot more of a scottish flavour
than the australian accent, because
a lot more scottish immigrants went
to New Zealand back in convict days
than Australia. Of course you would
always find regional `sub-accents`
in Australia and New Zealand that
are alternative again, the accent of
Tasmanians for example are more
often a little more celtic-toned be-
cause of the scottish influence.

In England, the accents of people
can change going from one county
to another, that can be attributed
greatly to domestic secularism in
quite a few regions of England &
the fact that so many people liv-
ing in the country townships of
England never go outside their
town their whole life through.
I am the true believer in pre-
serving cultural diversity and
making sure the New World
Order, the UN and all the other
organisations that are hellbent
on creating a one world agenda
dont completely destroy every
bit of cultural autonomy that
is still left across the world.
Accents, slang talk, even
drunken bunkum still hold
a greater and more rele-
vant place in languages
than any doctored form
of political correctness.

EATING THE LOCH NESS MONSTER WOULD BE THE BEST WAY OF GETTING A TASTE OF SCOTLAND

My laptop blew up slightly so it`s slightly the case of back to
the future for me with taking spontaneity to the next level on
the Logan City Council library computer for the time being, i
will see in the next five minutes what i can cook up, maybe
i might crack a thousand words if i go hard enough (laugh).
The legend of the Loch Ness Monster has always intrigued
me so much, like i`ve always been thinking, if some huge
dirty amphibious dinosaur is lurking underwater in this
huge landlocked gigantic pond in the north of Scotland,
then why doesn`t John West give the tuna a miss for
a bit & try and catch this lumpin` hunk of prehistor-
ic flesh before it decides to carc it. The Loch Ness
Monster may taste really good, maybe a bit tough
and chewy with a bit of grissle to deal with but i
am quite sure the flesh of this ancient old beast
would just melt in your mouth, as long as you on-
ly cook it medium rare or John West chucks a bit
of oil into the brine, just in case some bones get
caught in your throat as you devour this dinosaur.

What is the bet the Loch Ness Monster tastes a
lot like chicken, everything else does normal-
ly. Ask anyone what crocodile tastes like and
they`ll probaly say chicken, ask anyone what
rabbit tastes like, and they will probaly say
chicken, even seagulls apparently taste so
much like chicken. If something is not nor-
mally eaten, but someone`s daring enough
to give it a go, amazingly it nearly always
will taste like a hot chicken. What`s the
bet that Nessy also tastes like a chook,
i`m not suggesting we should hunt down
the monster so we can eat it but maybe
we need to find out if this bugger has
any babies so John West can start up
a Loch Ness Monster farm so more of
these monsters can be bred so we`re
all able to taste a little bit of Scotland.

RE-CREATING THE SOVIET EMPIRE PART OF PUTIN`S POWER PLAN

Communism never really died, it just crawled under a rock like a
spider and waited to make a comeback when nobody expected
it would. When the Berlin Wall came tumbling down in 1989 &
when Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu stood on the bal-
cony of his presidential palace after being the last 20th centu-
ry european commo left standing, it did seem communism
was a thing of the past, never to rise up again. But sadly,
Russian prime minister Vladamir Putin, a former KGB
agent and aspiring Russian president (a second time),
is ample proof it only takes one man with an unhealthy
addiction to wanting unbridled power to turn democra-
cy on its head and potentially, create a situation where
communism could make a comeback 20 years after
being eradicated. The latest agenda that Putin has
laid the groundwork for is to `re-create` the Soviet
Union, whereby Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine and all
the other states of the former Soviet Union which
become independent countries in their own right
after 1991 would be Soviet states again under
the centralist control of a Marxist government
based in Moscow. That`s what is on the cards
if this power hungry right wing communist gets
his way and is elected as Russian president
a second time. So addicted to having power
is Putin that he decided to `tread water` as
the Russian prime minister after serving a
maximum 2 terms as the president, which
is all the Russian constitution allows. That
in itself was sneaky and downright grubby,
but nothing illegal, it`s what Vladimir Putin
and the Communist Party has been up to
behind the scenes since he become the
prime minister which comes across as
sinister and eerily in the same mould of
Josef Stalin. Putin might well have the
best biceps and a big bare chest that
women (and men apparently) would
absolutely die for, but clearly he is
a major threat to democracy in
the former Soviet Union. Most
certainly it would be better if
he did concentrate on being
a male model and not a re-
cycled president who only
wants to wreck democracy.

MOVIE STAR MARZIEH VAFAMEHR PAYING A BRUTAL PRICE BACK IN IRAN FOR HER `MY TEHRAN FOR SALE` ROLE

One of my more right wing domains, which goes beyond my typical
centre-right belief system, is law and order and justice. I believe
in individuality and that individuals have to take responsibility for
their actions if they break the law and do something of a criminal
nature. But if anything were ever to make me go out on a bit of a
left bent in terms of justice, it would be when i know that some-
one is being dealt a brutal injustice and is being persecuted &
tortured by extreme right wing thugs, both mentally & physic-
ally. And if any one particular instance of this occuring got
under my skin more than others, it is the jailing of Marzieh
Vafamehr, an Iranian national who starred in a film which
was made in Australia called MY TEHRAN FOR SALE,
who now faces a year in an Iranian jail and 90 lashes
of the whip as well. Truly, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad &
his anti-west brigade of fascist extremist warlords
who are inspiring the ideological ringleaders of this
kind of persecution need to be `wiped off the map`.

The movie admittingly was a very provocative portrayal
of an Iranian muslim woman who adopted the free spirit
of westerners and dared to be diffrent & the character
which Vafamehr did play in certain parts of the movie
depicted someone not wearing a burka who shaved
their head. The sort of thing which you could imag-
ine would get a women stoned, whipped to death
or at best locked in a jail for the rest of her life if
she ever attempted doing that while living in Iran
and being seen in public like that. But consider-
ing Vahamehr was living in Australia at the time
when the movie was shot & taking into account
that the movie producers strictly abided by the
laws that the current Iranian dictatorship has
laid down in relation to Iranians having an in-
volvement in a film that directly attacks the
principals of fundamental islam, and made
sure Vafamehr`s character didn`t step over
the mark, her imprisonment in Iran is not
only brutal but it clearly is a contradiction
of the conditions, which any reasonable
westerner knows is thuggery point blank,
that Ahmadinejad and his fellow fascist
paronoid anti-west subordinates place
on their citizens if they star in a movie
made outside Iran in another country.

The movie`s producer, Kate Crosser,
has indicated to the media at no time
did she believe that, as the producer,
she allowed Vafamehr to act in a man-
ner in the movie which went against
the fascist restrictions which have
been placed on Iranians depicting
characters that promote the more
moderate interpretations of islam,
be that in Iran or somewhere else.
The South Australian Film Corp-
oration and Adelaide Film Festi-
val reportedly jointly funded the
filming of ` MY TEHRAN FOR
SALE` , according to Crosser
at no time would they have even
contemplated funding the movie
if they thought there was even
the tiniest chance of what has
happened to her eventuating.

Rudd has to get on the phone
to some thug in Iran and make
sure that this innocent women
is spared from being flogged
and being locked up in prison.

SUMMIT OF EVEREST NO PLACE FOR FOREIGNERS TO LEAVE ALL THEIR CRAP BEHIND

I dont consider myself to be a greenie, just a responsible person who
doesn`t like the natural enviroment to be needlessly desicrated. And
the one example of that happening, which rarely gets reported on and
really annoys me is the rubbish dump which hundreds of hikers have
made the top of Mt. Everest become, with disposed gas bottles and
an imagery of other non-biodegradable junk which they dump at the
roof of the world before they make the journey back down what is
the highest mountain in the world. Right from the moment that Sir
Edmund Hillary and the famous Sherpa scaled the heights of Mt.
Everest in 1953, hundreds of experienced hikers have set out
on the ultimate challenge, nowadays with the right training &
an adequate amount of endurance & fitness the average
man or woman is able to climb it, albeit with ever present
risks of volatile changes in weather which can very easily
replace a sunny day near the summit with a bone chilling
blizzard that only the toughest can endure. Anyone who
wants to take on the ultimate climbing adventure there
is should be able to do so at their own risk without
restrictions, but obviously the Nepalese authorities
who are responsible for making sure that the envi-
roment of Everest and the surrounding mountains
in the Himalayas is protected from an excessive
amount of man made degradation have to apply
the brakes on letting climbers to leave all their
junk behind. Edmund Hillary and many others
didn`t have to do it, clearly it does seem that
it`s become fashionable and accepted for this
enviromental vandalism to take place because
allowing climbers to leave their junk behind
makes it easier and safer for them to scale
down the summit. One of the world`s great-
est wonders deserves a lot better treatment
from the foreigners who dare to step on it
with growing disregard for maintaining the
natural amenity of the enviroment surround-
ing the summit. With due respect for people
like Hillary and the native residents of Nepal
and Tibet who rever Everest as sacred, the
current acceptance of what foreigners are
all leaving behind at the summit is akin
to throwing mud at the Taj Mahal. It is
sacrilege, and it`a trend that must be
stopped from happening from now on.

QUEENSLANDERS: DONT GET CAUGHT OUT BY THE DAYLIGHT SAVING LOTTO STOPWATCH / MADONNA KING GIVES HER COURIER MAIL SPIEL FOR A BRIGHT CSG FUTURE

At the newsagent this evening i went to put my lotto in, 30
seconds after the deadline. Almost an hour before the draw.
Went in the IGA Express Convenience Store at about 6.25pm,
filled out one lotto coupon, walked around for a few minutes,
grabbed a few odds and ends, and went to the counter pre-
cisely at 6.30pm and 36 seconds. The man behind the
counter told me the time to the second. Not having a go
at him, he was mannerly and sympathetic about me
arriving at the counter 30 seconds too late to get my
lotto in, but for crying out loud, big deal i say. I am
not a gambling addict whatsoever, and i certainly
am not obsessed about Gold Lotto, but how ridic-
ulous is that. Fair enough, there has to be a dead-
line for getting your lotto in, every year many of us
are caught out in Queensland with the time lapse
created by daylight saving when it first begins.
I just believe it`s an overkill form of protocol to
have a computer system blocking lotto being
submitted with no capacity to cut people three
minutes or so slack, to allow for clocks and
watches being out a bit. Even allowing for
daylight saving, i still was there to put my
lotto in 59 minutes and 24 seconds be-
fore the draw. Golden Casket, give me a
break, and let newsagents use a bit of
discretion when it comes down to the
wire. We dont all carry a stopwatch.

Madonna King, wife of my `ol pal David Fagan
at the Courier Mail, in her weekly column in
today`s Courier Mail gave a concilatory but
airbrushed account of the coal seam gas rev-
olution that is happening across Queensland
right at this moment. Admittingly she made
some worthy observations that put the onus
on all stakeholders, including the gas com-
panies that are involved in current explora-
tion projects, to maintain some degree of a
social conscience to make sure social infra-
structure and cohesion is enhanced by the
revenue which coal seam gas is envisaged
to put back directly into many communities.
But i would have to say i find it amazing
that Madonna didn`t even mention stat-
utory planning schemes to protect stra-
tegic cropping land, something the LNP
has promised will be implemented as a
way to protect farmland from the rav-
ages of the Crown (never thought i`d
support statutory law above crown law),
or uttering any words which promotes
the very valid belief amongst genuine
conservatives across Queensland
that a moratorium should be placed
on CSG exploration until a lot more
is known about potential contamina-
tion issues long associated with
fracking in many other countries.

AUSTRALIAN TEENAGER WALKS THE INDONESIAN NARCOTICS TIGHTROPE LEADING TO KEROBOKAN

If someone asked you to jump off a bridge to fetch a coin which
they threw over the edge, would you do it or would you tell that
someone to go jam it. Unless your head is a watermelon or you
have not got any grey matter between the ears to be able to use
some common sense of course you are going to ignore anyone
who asks you to do something so stupid. In principle however,
what is the diffrence between that and giving some no hoper
who you dont even know around $28 to buy some cannabis
in a foreign country known for its strict zero tolerance poli-
cy on narcotics, complete with a death penalty in force for
the more serious narcotic related offences, because they
are a bit hungry and haven`t got money to buy their lunch.

Even if you are just a naive 14 year old like the latest
aussie to get caught up in the nightmare of Bali impris-
onment is, you still haven`t got an excuse. Anyone who
travels to Bali from overseas knows full well what has
happened to the Bali 9, Shapelle Corby and a legion of
other foreign nationals who`ve been convicted of drug
related offences, the fate of those very foolish people
has been played and re-played over the TV set and
printed over and over again in the newspapers for so
many years. Not even a young teenager can rightfully
plead ignorance to what has been clearly highlighted
in every form of the media about the Indonesian jus-
tice system and the complete lack of tolerance that
is shown towards anyone caught trafficking narcot-
ics or in possession of them. Cannabis is a nar-
cotic, perhaps not as bad as some but it still is
one. Indonesian law might be harsh but when
you go to another country you have to abide by
the laws of the land. Indonesia is not Australia.

One has to wonder why any 14 year old boy
from Australia on holiday with his parents in
Bali would be roped in a spontaneous act of
madness to give a vagrant of sorts who he`s
never met some of his pocket money to buy
a couple of grams of dope. It just doesn`t
add up to me. If the kid didn`t know this
Bali local already, wouldn`t you think he
would have hightailed it out of wherever
he was propositioned to buy the grass
that has landed him in legal hot water
and notify his parents and authorities
in due course. Oh yeah, i`m a bit stu-
pid, yeah here you go pothead, here`s
$28, i do not mind going to jail for a
long time, just so long as you have
your lunch today. That`s what this
kid must have been thinking - hell!
All i can say is i feel sorry for him
even though he obviously has not
got any brains. Australians cant
blame the Indonesian legal sys-
tem for the stupidity of their own
kind when aussies are senseless
enough to have any involvement
in the narcotic drugs business.

STRAWBERRY QUEEN MUST HAVE FALLEN OVERBOARD ONCE THE BOOZE CRUISE GOT INTO FULL SWING

In keeping with the more distinct personal direction where i want
to take Badrick Unadulterated in from now on, i thought i would
tell you a little story of a very interesting cruise which me and
my immediate family, and a few of my extended family, did
venture out on in the name of what was intended to be a real
good cause, back in the early to mid 80`s. The cruise which
i am talking about was the conclusion to the STRAWBERRY
QUEEN FESTIVAL, a festival which was given burial rights
many years ago in its native Redland Shire on the outskirts
of Brisbane. Nowadays Redlands City, with all its urban
expansion covering most of the strawberry farmland of
yesteryear, is no longer capable of sustaining enough
agriculture warranting the continuation of the event.

But back in the early to mid 80`s, just before the real
estate boom consumed most of the beautiful red soil
of Redlands, there was heaps of strawberries to throw
around and the STRAWBERRY QUEEN FESTIVAL
was the biggest day on the calendar for the local
farmers. It was not only about strawberries, the
festival, as the name would suggest, was also a
chance for one lucky young girl to win the gong
of being crowned Strawberry Queen, perhaps
not quite as raunchy as Jennifer Hawkins in a
bikini but not half bad for a amateur beauty
pageant. Not sure if my cousin Jodie won
the title this particular year but she was a
participant in the event anyway. This infa-
mous cruise on Moreton Bay to end the
festival which i am eluding to was intend-
ed to be a family friendly event, i was on-
ly about 11 so i suspect my parents had
no idea what the boat cruise was going
to turn into. It was the BOOZE CRUISE.

I think the problem from the start was
that half the people who were supposed
to come didn`t turn up, and hence there
was a lot more booze per head on board
from the very start. It was a chartered
cruise, it took off out of Victoria Point
late in the afternoon, and by the time
we had reached Russell Island late in
the evening for a beachside barbeque,
the boat was rocking with intoxicated
drunks, married couples were swap-
ping partners in an alchohol fueled
blur, even the captain of the boat
was fully pissed and having a pash
with a woman off her face. To top
it off, the captain even asked my
14 year brother to steer the boat
for quite an end through Moreton
Bay in the pitch black of night.

He told my brother to just aim for
the red light over in th distance
(laugh). By the end of the night,
the only sober folks on board the
boat were my parents, my broth-
ers and sister, my aunty and uncle
and my cousin Jodie. I will never
forget all of us looking at each
other and silently saying `what
the hell was all that about`. To
this day in my family we call it
the STRAWBERRY QUEEN
BOOZE CRUISE. The evening
when innocence was lost forever.

SIGNATURE-LESS AND PIN-LESS TRANSACTIONS AN OPEN INVITATION FOR CROOKS TO STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD AND GO ON A RETAIL ESCAPADE

When it comes to credit and debit card security, there seems to be a
myriad amount of interpretations by banks and retailers as to what
constitutes `adequate security`. The latest but far from greatest
innovation for paying with a credit/debit card at many retail out-
lets, which to my common sense thinking completely defies
conventional wisdom of keeping consumers protected from
all the crooks and scammers out there who are just waiting
for the chance to pounce on an unsuspecting victim of fraud,
is the new-ish policy in some retail outlets at least (if not all
of them) to allow people to not sign for a purchase or en-
ter a PIN for purchases under a certain amount. Some
retailers have nominated $100 as the limit, some $50
as a limit, with the vast majority it appears to be some-
where between $10 and $30. I nearly always pay with
cash so i am not completely sure of how widespread
this new practise is. It seems a little ironic that just
when all the retail outlets are being provided the new
EPTPOS machines, where shoppers have to insert
their credit/debit cards into the machines and not
just swipe them, with the new computer chip that
is embedded on them all acting as an extra secu-
rity safeguard, that the banks and retailers are
so being so apathetic and blase about security
when it comes to purchases of a smaller value.

Hypothetically speaking, if somebody were to
steal your wallet or handbag, or if you just so
happened to lose it or leave it somewhere it
shouldn`t be by accident, what to my logical
opinion would stop somebody going around
to a heap of diffrent retail outlets with YOUR
stolen or misplaced card making as many
purchases as they want to, provided they
kept each transaction under a nominated
limit for transactions which dont require
a signature or entering a PIN. I`m sorry
but i think the new policy is completely
ridiculous and irresponsible, especially
considering just how rampant credit card
and cyber-fraud is increasingly becoming.
I would sooner be inconvenienced for an
extra 10 seconds and play it safe thank
you very much. What are you thinking?

ZOOS AND ISLAND SANCTUARIES COULD HOLD THE KEY TO SAVING THE TASMANIAN DEVIL FROM EXTINCTION

It`s no secret that the Tasmanian Devil, that rogueish and aggressive
dog-like marsupial from the island hanging off the end of Australia,
has become a highly endangered species because of a disease
which is wiping out a huge percentage of the wild population. The
culprit is a mutant viral disease known simply as DFTD, which
is short for DEVIL FACIAL TUMOUR DISEASE, a disease that
manifests itself as a cancerous sarcoma around the jaws of the
animal, causing hideous disfigurement and very untimely death.

The disease was first detected in the north-east of Tasmania
around `96, since then it has wiped out half the population of
the animals across the whole state and 90% of the animals
in areas where the disease has taken hold. There are only
a few isolated pockets in Tasmania where DFTD has not
reached yet, and these areas hold the key to the long
term survival of the Tasmanian Devil. That`s because
the animals in these specific areas remain free of
the disease and they can be shipped out of Tassie
to breed in zoos or in the wild somewhere else.

Obviously, if the Tasmanian Devil is going to be
saved from extinction the success of the breed-
ing programs in zoos is of major importance,
as is getting the balance right when deciding
where to release the Devil`s into the wild ho-
ping they adapt to habitat outside Tasmania
successfully. Considering the dingoe was the
animal that made Tasmanian Devils extinct
on the australian mainland approximately a
thousand years ago, it would seem to be
a lost cause before it begins if Tasmani-
an Devils were released in the wild on
the mainland where dingoes exist. The
best bet as far as creating some sort
of a wild sanctuary for them would be
an island off the coast of Australia, a
location without dingoes and where
there`s little chance of introduced
Devil`s causing havoc to the native
habitat and native wildlife. I cannot
pretend i know offhand if any such
uninhabited island which is suita-
ble for sustaining a Devil popula-
tion exists off the cost of Aus-
tralia but it`s just a thought.

MY TAINTED CUPS OF TEA WERE TELLING ME TO STAY RIGHT AWAY FROM PVC PLASTIC WATER TANKS

A few weeks ago it dawned upon me that my cups of tea tasted a
bit funny, like the milk i was using in it was weedy or the tea it-
self was a bit stale. I started using a diffrent brand of teabag,
and i tested out what i did observe further by using a diffrent
brand of milk, but still my cups of tea just didn`t taste right. I
couldn`t taste anything unusual with my cups of chicory only
because it is a stronger brew and that`s why i assumed in the
first instance that more than likely this strange phenonomen
had something to do with the milk or what i was brewing up.
I mean to say, i did not for one second suspect it could be
the actual water in my cuppa`s, because where i am living
has tank water. Besides a few frogs and mozzie droppings,
what other baddies could be lurking in your water tank?

Well the answer to that question depends a lot on what
sort of tank you are drinking water out of. And as i`ve
just discovered to my amazement & marginal horror,
water tanks made out of PVC plastic are really bad
news for leaching petroleum based toxins into the
water. And the reason for that is simple, because
what they are manufacturing plastic water tanks
out of is largely what you might say `hardened
oil`. In plain english PVC plastic is made out
of a petroleum by-product. It is almost a cer-
tainty that the water in my parent`s tank has
been contaminated to some degree because
of what`s leaching out from inside the tank.

I believe this explains the weird taste of my
cuppa`s and why the floor of the shower has
been strangely slippery, not to mention the
shower water itself wont wash off the soap
properly. Just some really strange, bizarre
things about the tank water which did not
make much sense, and i realised some-
thing just wasn`t quite right. Metal and con-
crete tanks pose no such contamination
risks, unfortunately finding a company
which makes concrete tanks is like try-
ing to find a needle in a haystack more
and more these days, most water tank
manufacturers do not make large metal
tanks, only the smaller varieties which
are a bit impractical for acreage prop-
erty owners who are completely reliant
on tank water and need a bigger tank.

PVC plastic water tanks are particular-
ly bad news if they are exposed to the
sun & ground surface heat, because in
effect, the petroleum based plastic that
they`re made of expands & contracts the
whole time the tanks are exposed to any
amount of heat. That is the characteris-
tics of any petroleum based product, it
isn`t hard to work out why a tank which
is made out of oil in effect cant remain
completely stable when exposed to any
fluctuations in surrounding temprature.

I would respectively suggest that eve-
ryone considers using the water out
of their plastic water tank for having a
shower, doing the laundry or watering
the garden only. Truly, unless one of
these tanks is kept away from the sun
and is covered, the water in them is
not fit for human drinking. Now when
i see any plastic water tank baking in
the sun on someone else`s property i
am going to feel like dropping them
a note to let them know what i am
telling you right at this moment.

MINING AND GREEN ENERGY DESERVE EQUAL STATUS IN THE AUSTRALIAN TERTIARY EDUCATION SYSTEM

Without getting into the politics of the mining tax, a number of
australian mining companies are pushing for a big increase in
the amount of funding and tertiary places to be allocated for a
projected increase in the amount of jobs on offer in the mining
sector over the next decade. Obviously much of this projected
demand for employment is specifically being envisaged for open
cut coal and coal seam gas projects across eastern Australia.
Such demands for federal government funding could be seen
as a reasonable trade off for the loss of revenue that the tax
will cause mining companies to lose, even though it is ob-
vious already that export demand to places like China will
more than adequately compensate for a slight increase in
mining royalties which end up in the Canberra piggy bank.

Right from the outset, i personally supported a mining tax
on coal, and with the knowledge i now have of the untested
and controversial industry, i would also support a mining
tax being applied to coal seam gas. I didn`t ever support
a mining tax on any other minerals besides coal. There`s
an obvious need to not only make coal and coal gas a
bit less attractive to mine by imposing a mining tax, but
also there is an equal need to promote alternative forms
of renewable energy, both in terms of infrastructure and
tertiary training. Clearly though, not much thought has
gone into the ill directed government funding of alter-
native energy infrastructure much of the time to date,
a situation has now ensued where wind farms have
proven to be a grossly inadequate method of power
generation as well as enviromentally hazardous too.

The fact remains solar is one of the best forms of
alternative and renewable energy, in place of the
fossil fuel varieties. Provided solar power genera-
tion equipment is built to last and built to work
properly, nothing but political apathy and wimp-
ery and an unwillingness by ordinary australians
to adopt the use of renewable energy sources is
going to prevent solar energy providing a reason-
able percentage of overall power generation in
the not so distant future. Certainly with some
degree of government funding being direc-
ted towards improving the quality and effec-
tiveness of current solar power technology,
and with a reasonable amount also being
directed into tertiary education for jobs in
the solar power/alternative energy sector,
there is no reason whatsoever in a prac-
tical sense why solar power cant end up
being a commercially viable alternative
form of energy to coal & coal seam gas.

By all means, traditional methods of coal
mining has it place in Australia, and not
for a minute am i suggesting that mining
companies shouldn`t get their way to an
extent to have more training places and
funding provided to meet the surge in
demand for skilled workers for many
new coal projects which have already
started or been given the go ahead.
For the most part, i dont support
coal seam gas drilling or frack-
ing as its commonly referred to
as, if it goes ahead anywhere,i
feel the industry must be con-
tained by heavy regulations &
an extra heavy mining tax levy.
The fact remains that alternative
forms of alternative energy must
not be discriminated against when
it comes time for the government
to fund tertiary education and in-
frastructure to meet expected em-
ployment demands for the power
generation industry. Provided it
is fair & equitable, no mining
company is a position to say
that any job in the alternative
energy sector should be giv-
en any inferior status in the
tertiary education stakes.

PROBLEM GAMBLERS DONT KNOW THE MEANING OF `EVERYTHING IN MODERATION`

Eddie Maguire makes a great host of MILLIONAIRE on Channel 9.
He has just the right amount of cockiness and humour to make
the role his own, unlike what a lot of people think, he is not a
total asshole. He just appeared to be one of those when he
was made the CEO of Channel 9 a few years back, many
folks at Channel 9 got shown the door in hostile circum-
stances on his watch. He has to take responsibility for
that, but i do believe he learned from his mistakes and
is now smart enough to think before he acts, normally.

As the Collingwood football club manager, Maguire, along
with a heap of other football and sporting club identities,
have come out in redneck reactionist style opposing
the proposed poker machine technology that will place
a limit on the amount of money gamblers can gamble
in any one session, or that is how i read the proposed
legislation anyway. Either everyone will be subject
to a pokies limit or only people who are redflagged
as a problem gambler will be, only Tasmanian MP
Andrew Wilkie, who is holding a gun to the Gillard
government`s head on the issue, probaly knows
the more precise nature of what the pokie legis-
lation is targeting - is it problem gamblers or just
gambling across the board? We`ll wait and see.

Unlike what Maguire and others are not prepared
to openly admit, any proposal to prevent people
with a gambling problem from being able to blow
the weekly household budget, while the wife or
husband and the kids are stuck at home with no
food to eat, has to be seen as being a respon-
sible measure to stop people with a gambling
problem getting an even worser one. I have
nothing against people having a flutter here
and there, even though i am opposed to
all electronic forms of gambling. There`s
nothing wrong with having a big night out
& blowing 100 bucks on the pokies, but
to say that it`s okay to do so on a reg-
ular basis, like two or three times ev-
ery week, is fundamentally ignoramus.

Depending exactly on what form the pokie
limit card technology is proposed to be
brought in, it does get some reserved
support from me. I do not believe that
everyone neccesarily should be forced
to have a limit placed on what amount
of money they can put through a poker
machine on any given day when they`re
out having a good time, but i do sup-
port the principle of replacing coins
with card technology to make it pos-
sible for pubs & clubs to keep a tab
on all those who have a known gamb-
ling addiction. I would also support
any measure that the government
takes to limit the amount of days
in any 7-day period which anyone
is allowed to play on a poker ma-
chine. Three out of seven days is
what i suggest the limit should be.
Card technology is a noble idea to
stop problem gambling, but instead
of targeting how much money prob-
lem gamblers are wasting they`d
be put to better use restricting
the time people spend on pokies.

NEW GENERATION HOLDEN AND FORD UTES ARE KILLER MACHINES IF LUNATICS GET BEHIND THE WHEEL OF ONE

My parents live on an acreage property on the outskirts of Brisbane,
they are not living out in the sticks so you would imagine having a
60km/hr speed limit down their road is a bit unneccesary and safe-
ty overkill. Originally, the main reason why the speed limit was re-
duced from 80kn/hr to 60 km/hr was because they live nearby to
the Brisbane Koala Park, and many animals, especially wallabies,
were being knocked by cars around dusk and dawn with the high-
er speed limit in place. Not that reducing the speed limit stops
the revhead idiots from going whatever speed they want, take
the time to spend 10 minutes on the footpath of my parent`s
property late in the afternoon when everyone is racing home
from work and you`ll be guarenteed to see at least three or
four speed demons speeding to excess or overtaking some-
one past my parent`s driveway in a most dangerous manner.

The worst culprits are actually not young hoons driving old
beat-up VK Commodores or daredevil motorcyclists, the
majority of these supposedly Gen-Y fools who are driving
like a lunatic through Rochedale and Burbank are actual-
ly middle aged men, from about the age of 30 to 55 who
are driving these hotted up Holden and Ford utes, and
quite frankly they need to be run off the road before
they kill somebody, if they haven`t already. Yester-
day in Mackay a young mum was killed & her son
was severely injured when some tosser in a ute of
some sort, Holden or Ford, not quite sure, tried
to overtake a line of four cars in one hit, sadly
for the victim and her son they were unlucky
to be turning right off the main road when the
manslaughterer with the hotted up ute tried
to pass the four cars. Sadly he slammed
into the poor girl`s car on the drivers side
where she was seated, she didn`t have a
chance of surviving whatsoever. In this in-
stance the driver of the ute was a 21 year
old male, but more often that not, Holden
and Ford utes are driven by older males.

The fact is these utes should be banned from
being manufactured with the power to weight
ratio they have just as much as the dickheads
who drive them and speed to excess should
be banned from driving on the road. They
are deadset deadly machines, they`re as
good as having a missile on wheels, the
main issue with Holden and Ford utes is
that they make it too easy to speed and
make any driver, even responsible ones,
think they are invincible and above the
law. The crazy driving behavior which i
have seen some of these Holden and
Ford uters get up to down at the round-
a-bout near my parents place, like go-
ing around the round-about the wrong
way to save doing the turn, and try-
ing to mount the footpath to pass a
slow driver, is an all too often occur-
ence by many more than one driver.
Unless Holden and Ford decrease the
horse power of the engines in these
machines, i say ban the lot of them.

NEWMAN NEEDS TO LOSE THE ARMY ATTITUDE AND LABOR HYPOCRISY NEEDS AN ELECTORAL KNOCKOUT

Writing about politics is becoming a chore for me, not a pleasure
like it once was. There`s a song from a British grunge heavy rock
group by the name of THE DARKNESS from the early 2000`s
called GIVIN UP. The song contains an expletive that`s repeat-
ed many times over, and the word starts with F. The song goes
something like this `GIVIN UP GIVIN UP GIVIN A.....`, you know
the rest. It`s now my personal theme song which sums up my
personal interest in mainstream politics. Community apathy,
a lack of reader feedback and my disenchantment with the
state of politics in Australia has made me retire from the
political blogging game, unless somebody gives me a
good reason to write a blast from the past. I did get an
email from someone suggesting i put my take on the
Campbell Newman punitive interests matter. To me it`s
a typical storm in a teacup Courier Mail premeditated
beatup designed to give the Labor Party `yet another`
chance to stay in power. Not that i`d say Newman
is sqeaky clean and not guilty of looking shady be-
cause of his reluctance to declare what he and his
wife own behind the scenes. It`s just the hypocri-
sy of Labor, with its many slush funds with the
unions ect, which makes it`s attack on the LNP
leader all the more hypocritical and audacious.

Steven Wardill and Koren Helbig seem to be the
journalists who have been given the job by the
powers that be at News Ltd. to boil the kettle
to make this stormy cup of tea, although with
due respect for Wardill he seems to be avoid-
ing any accusations of any anti-LNP bias, he
stays fairly close to centre. His name isn`t
Dennis Shanahan or Barry Everingham in
other words. Koren is a much better journo
when she stays away from politics, she has
so much talent reporting on social matters
but to me her political commentary appears
to be forced. Most of the other News Ltd.
journos seem to be giving Newman a free
run to the finish line to become premier
of Queensland sometime in the new year.

My attitude with Campbell Newman is very
mixed, i admire his pro-active and practical
approach to leadership, and i can deal
with his somewhat overbearing attitude
for the most part, but i do believe he
has to reign in his nature to want all
the power and all the authority within
his own party. Certainly the potential
is there if the LNP win at the coming
poll for Campbell Newman to become
the next Kevin Rudd, meaning Liberal
National MP`s wont be able to breathe
politically speaking because of the
potential autocratic style of leader-
ship which Newman is very capa-
ble of forcing on his frontbenchers.

There is no place in a democratic
government for any sort of power
pod to exist whereby particular
MP`s are members of any elitist
cabinet within the government.
Rudd tried it on once and it did
not work, Newman has a bit of
a power streak about him and
he needs to reign it in before
he provides journalists any
ammunition to go after him
for other unrelated matters.

One of those is Newman`s reluc-
tance to make known his personal
assets because of the technicali-
ty that he isn`t actually a mem-
ber of parliament yet, he made
himself look somewhat guilty in
the process, people like Steven
Wardill & Koren Helbig are just
waiting like hungry vultures for
him to behave in such a manner,
Newman should`ve been upfront
regardless of his legal rights to
refuse telling the public what he
and his wife are worth and where
their assets lie. He did fail the
populist liptus test by making a
mountain out of a molehill on this
particular issue. However, the hy-
pocricy of Labor beggers belief.
Just imagine what would be un-
covered if all the Labor MP`s
come clean on all the goodies
they were grooming on the side.
Amazing isn`t it how Ludwig can
skim off 60 grand from the AWU
member kitty for his own perso-
nal use and yet News Ltd journos
remain totally pre-occupied with
Newman`s financial affairs. Figure!

STRAIGHTFORWARD SIMPLE SOLUTION FOR IMPROVING SWIMMING POOL SAFETY

Going back a number of months i read a very interesting short article
on another blog about swimming pool safety, and keeping them child
safe. Sadly each year, dozens of young children and toddlers drown
as the result of inadequate fencing surrounding pools or a lack of
supervision by parents or guardians. One idea which i instinctive-
ly came up with off the top of my head, which i made known by
making a comment on the blog, is having pools designed so that
they gradually step down & have a minimum buffer of about one
and a half metres around the entire perimeter of the pool where
the depth of the water doesn`t exceed 50 centimetres. In other
words all pools should have a `ledge` going around the entire
perimeter of the pool to act as a safety buffer if a toddler
or child accidently falls into a pool, even when supervised
by an adult. Obviously this may not well be a practical op-
tion for above ground pools, construction wise, and if so,
maybe above ground pools should be banned all together.
To me it is a simple, no-nonsense and practical measure
for all in-ground pools and the safety of children has to
come before eye pleasing aesthetics, some pool lovers
are bound to argue against such an idea because they
will say its all nanny state overkill and discriminates
against responsible pool owners but i do still believe
this idea of mine has a lot of common sense merit.

LIVE CATTLE AND COAL SEAM GAS WAS MY BIGGEST BLOGLAND UNDOING WITH THE REDNECK BRIGADE

According to my estimation, i have probaly lost around 60% of my
Queensland audience because of my objective commentary in
opposition to two things - live cattle export and coal seam
gas, or should i say, unrestricted and reckless exploration
for it. I do not regret standing up for my principles on the
two issues, it hasn`t made me friends, unwittingly i have
marginalised myself, been unfairly tagged as a left wing
traitor to the conservative cause of capitalism and i`ve
basically been left for dust in blogland by many centre
right blog trollers who expect bloggers like me to keep
writing exactly what they want to hear or else as i`ve
found out you may as well be chewing gum stuck on
the sole of their shoes. I know i`ve been screwed big
time by hundreds of Liberal National Party alligned
activists and lobbyists in Queensland, i am not go-
ing to deny it. What`s the point? They`re totally
biased and i`m not, and i just got to get on with
life and accept the consequences of actually try-
ing to be objective when i made the personal &
moral decision to oppose live cattle as well as
coal seam gas. I hate the Labor Party in QLD,
objectively speaking, and unlike what many of
these redneck clowns who have redflagged my
blog reckon, i would much prefer an LNP gov-
ernment after the next election. Just dont feed
me your horsechit about always having to write
exactly what you want to see and read, that`s
my attitude from now on. Should have woken
up a long time ago but better late than never.

XENOPHON GOES OUT ON A PARLIAMENTARY LIMB TO AIR THE DIRTY LAUNDRY OF THE ADELAIDE ARCHDIOCESE

Federal senator Nick Xenophon is either a slanderous blabber mouth
who goes in half prepared into the federal parliament mouthing off
defamatory untruths about catholic clergymen being paedophiles,
or he is an intelligent and decent man who was only attempting
to represent the facts surrounding the sexual abuse of a cer-
tain man 50 years ago which the catholic church nowadays
is trying to cover up. You be the judge, but out of all these
dumb senators we now have in the federal parliament, i do
not rate Xenophon as one of them. He is the Malcolm Turn-
bull of the Upper House, intelligent, pragmatic and the man
always appears to think before he speaks, which is good
for a politician. The accusations which Xenophon made
against Monsignor Ian Dempsey of the Catholic parish
in Brighton, South Australia, accusing him indirectly
of sexually abusing Adelaide archbishop John Hep-
worth some 50 years ago when he was a young
seminarian and a priest, using parliamentary priv-
iledge to do so, deserve to be fully investigated in
a transparent and fair manner which does not in
any way condemn Dempsey until he`s found guil-
ty of the accusations made against him, at the
same time, the powers that be within the Ade-
laide archdiocese in Adelaide, like archbishop
Philip Wilson, have to stop playing down the
seriousness of the allegations made against
Dempsey and allow an internal investigation
within the catholic church to be made fully
public at its conclusion, whether that goes
against accepted Vatican protocol or not.

Personally, i could not care less if the Pope
agrees with me, if Dempsey & various other
senior clergymen have nothing to hide in re-
lation to unsubstantiated accusations about
sexual abuse in the south australian branch
of the catholic church, then they wont mind
the oppurtunity of a transparent investiga-
tion clearing their name in due course. It
seems odd that Archbishop Hepworth is
not pursuing a police investigation to be
carried out in response to sexual abuse
allegations he tabled in a 6 page letter
to Monsignor David Cappo three years
ago, which contained the allegations he
made against Ian Dempsey, but it would
appear he is a broken man emotionally
speaking and he wants to forgive and
forget and make peace with the cath-
olic church 50 years after the abuse
against him had taken place. Obvious-
ly though Nick Xenophon wouldn`t have
gone out on an almighty limb in parlia-
ment if he wasn`t requested to do so
behind the scenes by Hepworth to try
and force the leadership of the Ade-
alaide Archdiocese to stand aside
Ian Dempsey until the allegations
were internally investigated and
acted upon to Hepworth`s liking,
even if that meant public recog-
nition that such abuse did take
place and that measures would
be taken to hunt down and re-
move all paedophiles in the
the Adelaide Archdiocese re-
gardless of how long ago the
sexual abuse was carried out.
